Premium Member An Insignificant Life - Collaboration With the Seeker
That godless sound
His head explodes at 6:01am
Same as every day
He falls out of bed
Steps on the cat
Slides into his slippers
Shuffles to the kitchen
Puts the coffee on
Bumps his head on the cupboard door
Again
Sits down and looks out the window
A blackbird is flying near
Leaves it’s mark on...

Drained of opaque innocence
Perfected by your toxicity,
I was laid bare beneath the narcissistic sun,
Searing deep within dehydrated pupils,
Stripping my soul of all humanity,
until your sinister tongue was all I could hear.

Your empty promises clothed these bones;
running was no longer an option,
as hiding became nearly impossible...

Premium Member The Important Insignificant
She's become lost in small
The oh so important insignificant
Living in her world of do, do
Doing so much
Accomplishing so little
Head down
Sun shining on top of her head
Complaining about the heat
Can't look up
Too concerned about her feet
Skin once dark
Now white like a sheet

Better moments
Floating past her...

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Insignificant
I've found true love within our nature now;
For only when one sees how small he is,
How insignificant to the big man;
Can one feel empathy for trees or fish.
To the flower a tree is strong; sturdy;
Through the current, a fish is powerful;
Yet...

Insignificant
Ah! Spring! ‘Tis announced everywhere!
Grass turns green – birds grace the air
And at our feet, the ground becomes rife
With infant green sprigs – the beginning of Life

Upon a tree, tiny buds are there made
And in coming months will...

Insignificant
Staring at the Universe a speck of decaying dust, roaming like restless rust
A sovereign statue underrated & unjust, searching solitudes of trust
With a mirage of mirrors in my view, steering my soul to scantly skew
Meticulously moving quizzically on cue, banished beneath the blue

We are Nomads...

4,600 Insignificant Deaths
Your words are knives
And I have no more
Smiles to cover the
Scars.
Hollow eyes stare
Ahead at a crippled
Future.
Veins full with the
Poison of self-hatred
Pump to your
Heart.
A life wasted on
The horrors of the world.
A test subject born
To lose.
Added to the number
Of how many
Have...

Something Seemingly Insignificant and Unexpected Changed My Life Poetry Contest

I was gratefully raised in a talented musical family,
Chords and B-sharps were heard many times,
Such beautiful memories full of sweet melodies,
While I sat in my room writing my own rhymes.

One day in high school I decided...

Insignificant
INSIGNIFICANT

I READ BETWEEN THE LINES TO GET TO THE TRUE MEANING
YET STILL IT ELUDES MY ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND
COMPREHENSION OF MY LIFE AND MY PURPOSE THERE-IN
ESCAPES FROM MY GRASP AS IF IT WERE A GRAIN OF SAND

WASHED AWAY IN THE TIDE
OF THE CHAOS THAT ENGULFS...

A Story of An Insignificant Mother
A story
Of an insignificant mother trailed.

When sledgehammered, pickaxed
Excavated, craned and the progress of
The ceaseless destruction of
Demolished construction railed.

So is a story
Of an insignificant mother trailed.

With wings flapped and heart ached, the dove
An emblem of peace hovered for some tranquility for itself,
As the stuccoes tore...

Insignificant Pain
Christmas Day of twenty-fifteen,
Was the worst in many years.
It should've been a happy time,
But it was bad with many tears.

We walked into my brother's house,
Following behind my two little boys.
Expecting an inviting welcome but,
Instant silence replaced the noise.

Had we entered the wrong house?
Because it...

I put on my black leather trench coat from the wooden coat rack.
Wrapping the navy-blue scarf around my neck, I started to go outside to enjoy the night.
I watch the wind swirl the snow before me in the air and on the ground.

Insignificant
If it is change I want to see in the world,
I better start with me.
I need to let go of my past
and set my soul free.

The struggles in my past,
have made me who I am today.
I’ve done things I’m not proud of,
I was lost and...

Insignificant Matters
To write a poem of which make a person change
is not so insignificant and strange
Without those people things will always be the same
then their would be the blaming game
I write this poem to the Insignificant out their
because they do not deserve the bad stare

To write...
