Best Inconsequential Poems
Inconsequential diatribe
From politicians left and right
Is something we should not inscribe
Across our children's line of sight.
Polarity can paralyze
When adulation of conceit
Allows some not to realize
Opposing views must all compete.
Diversity has made us great
Along with freedom to believe
Or not believe in God and fate
To justify what we conceive.
Inherent in democracy
Is freedom from oppressive weight
That rules like some autocracy
Imposed upon us by the state.
Religion is a private right
To be defended by us all;
But mixed with politics, a blight,
That causes governments to fall.
So take a breath of freedom's air
And celebrate diversity;
Both gay or straight and dark or fair
Rejoice in your nobility.
Homeboy’s got it going on
Swagger tighter because of the stash of money
Tied in rubber bands underneath his bed
Modern Day Romeo, with hints of Mercutio trailing
Right into my ear, easing honey on my lips
Imprinting his fingers on my thigh
Sliding his soul into mine
Fluent in the language of me
Thinking he’s bad because he’s got me sitting in his 1976 Impala
Spicy Latina Dime with the red dress on
Thinking he’s hot because he has some heat strapped to him
Cold, hard steel sizzling against his skin
Thinking he owns the world
Baby boy you ain’t got nothing
You ain’t got nothing outside of this city
Because by the end of the day your just a tragic hero
In Shakespeare’s play, felt for a moment
Forgotten the next day
Laying in some shallow grave that nobody had the desire to dig
All the way
Remembered vaguely in some sort of calamity
Drowning, death by folly
Stabbed in the heart, poisoned by a friend
Moments like you aren’t hard to come by
Men like you die everyday
Seconds by minutes, gunshots by the hour
His life is slipping through his fingers
Granulated dreams, grains of the hourglass
Flipping and disoriented by the vast
Uselessness of his universe
In the context of it all
He is just a speck of matter
Floating in onyx voids
But in our story, Romeo lives forever
With my hand on his face and lips pressed against
Warmth transported through heated gazes and the most abandoned of touches
Our souls on each others fingertips
He means the world to me
Never tell secrets on farmland. Potatoes have eyes, corn have ears and beanstalk.a great impossibility is suddenly deemed satisfactory but this not a factor nor is it a factory. Fir to mass reproduce is to induce a mass corrosion quality of human stigma. And to wait is ti wilt. Hahaha and no hahahaha and then finally a big hahahahaha and then a fragment of a figment and a free food but no free. Hahahaha and weeeee piggles......and weeeeee. Throw the arms and legs around. Sergeant matey. Know knock down then stand. How? How? How? Is that even possible I mean is an equatalateral triangle a rhombus?? hahaha and a mildew smiles in a dawn darkness. And a fish fork dancing with a tailored topiary. Gjvkdkdj and a hash tag is neither a waltz with a danger nor an epitomised z chorus. Go try on the apron appropriately.....xxxxzz inconsequential
Inconsequential Events
Today I woke up.
No chain of events. a diversion from the norm?
Exasperation like copper coins
Overhead. I bake to forget.
Aromas of lemon and cinnamon
Overwhelm me. So I shed a tear.
Once I was a sultry brunette.
Today my hair is scarlet. Fake.
My cake rises in hue of lemon
Then explodes. Crumbles of shells.
I do solemnly declare my cake an allegory
But allegory for what?
Guilt? Guilt for having it all.
I am the generation of having it all.
Two point four.
Then I woke up.
Should keep my dreams in check.
My daughter demands milkshake for breakfast.
Wasting away, crimson of death seeping through
Speaking through filtered tears
The whispered disclosed soothing words skewed
As the world shifts into abstract artwork, seared
My memories lie as awake as if you sat there still
The blackened storm shifts from dull to enlightened
Captured, the desired outcomes' gruesome kill
Sailing through unchartered lands , your expression not frightened
Flattened are the words that fill the inconsequential life
Fighting only left, death had triggered this belated strife.
"turn right in 180 meters"
Turned left,
To feed the occasional
Anxiety.
"Rerouting to your destination."
Mood follows mood, think upon think;
Good cultures good, link after link.
Ponder again the points of fact:
Sense thought laid plain in simple tact.
Ponder yet still life's paradox:
The risky bet that's out-of-box!
Ponder once more the subtle norm:
That dreamy shore beyond mere form.
Thought follows thought, feel upon feel;
See feel that plots spontaneous will.
Here we go round mulberry bush;
Notice the grounds for pull and push!

Been a little
Seen a little
Dreamed a little
Cradled a little
Cried a little
Loved a little
Lost a little
Been bitten a little
Bought a little
Sold very little
Been happy a little
Been sad a little
Felt pain a little
Joy a little
Been belittled
But rarely of late
Say
Little meaningful
Or
Nothing little
Consequential at all
When little matters
Most of all
" Touche "
It doesn't matter one bit what
Naysayers say about you. Ignore them as they
Continue to laugh at your dreams. Concern yourself
Only with what your family and true friends say
Never waste your time and energy with
Strangers who don't matter, and never will
Every doubting Thomas wants to be a critic
Questioning and condemning anything
Under the sun, purely out of spite
Everything they say to you is simply
Noise; they love hearing themselves talk
Tune them all out. Their negative opinions are
Inconsequential in the final...
Analysis. Forget them all, instead...
Live your life to the fullest!
