Inconsequential Events

Inconsequential Events Today I woke up. No chain of events. a diversion from the norm? Exasperation like copper coins Overhead. I bake to forget. Aromas of lemon and cinnamon Overwhelm me. So I shed a tear. Once I was a sultry brunette. Today my hair is scarlet. Fake. My cake rises in hue of lemon Then explodes. Crumbles of shells. I do solemnly declare my cake an allegory But allegory for what? Guilt? Guilt for having it all. I am the generation of having it all. Two point four. Then I woke up. Should keep my dreams in check. My daughter demands milkshake for breakfast.
