They're knocking at me door
In the middle of the night
They're knocking at me door
Giving me an awful fright.
They taking me
To a camp where
Ashes fall like black snow.
I'll not be overjoyed
By goose-stepping boys
With boots to their knees, oh hey,
And brown shirts and billy clubs
Cheese grater belly rubs
Coming to take me away.
I’m deaf not broken
just differently wired.
My ears went on strike and were never rehired.
They packed up and left not leaving a note,
Just departed my head without taking a coat.
I walk in a room,
people chatter and play,
I nod like a expert,
not a clue what they say.
Was it “You look great” or “You’ve put on weight?”
Either way, I just smile and say “you too mate!”
Someone shouts loudly behind my back,
and I turn around like
I’m under attack.
“So you did hear, that?”
They say so proud,
Like that’s some mystical
truth that they’ve found.
Lip reading’s wild, a silent charade.
Did you say “it fades”
or “do you wear aids?”
And if your hand’s halfway over your face,
I’ll just nod and wave, like I’m keeping up pace.
At meetings I sit,
calm and serene,
Looking like I’m planning a masterful scheme.
But truth be it told,
I’ve zoned way out,
Thinking of pizza,
with chips no doubt.
People laugh, I laugh,
no clue what it’s for,
I watch the faces
and laugh some more.
They ask, “Did you hear?”
and I just say “Who?”
Then pretend I’m deep, like I meant to.
But hey, don’t feel bad
if I miss your cue,
Just give me a sec,
And I’ll find a clue.
I’m not confused,
Just silence, my slave,
Riding this wave
that the deafness gave.
So say it twice,
or write it down,
But please don’t mime like a chicken, in
a wedding gown.
I’m chill, I’m cool,
and thriving too.
My world’s just like yours but on audio cue.
Digital age, digital technology, digital people
Digital adds to life
Digital subtracts from life
But why?
Because:
People make things
People change things
People use things
People abuse things
So:
Digital education for everyone
Then:
Digital technology for everyone
Young and old, rich and poor, here and there
Reboot society
Reboot life
Reboot digital!

There will be catastrophic damages to our
great nation, if we elect the Project 2025
conservative administration..
They plan to holt all carbon emission goals and
return to drilling oil and gas and coals..
Begin the largest mass deportation.
Eliminate the Department of Education.
Adopt the biblical definition for marriage: a man,
and a woman and a baby carriage..
Those Justices who Roe vs Wade did kill, now
plan to ban the abortion pill.
Aiming at the "awoke agenda", to end equality
and inclusion, the message they render..
Planning to criminalize p.o.r.n., which has been
around way before most of us were born..
Repay there big donors that had their backs by
heavily reducing their corporate tax..
Ending the three branches of gov., a long standing
tradition, by placing the Department of Justice
under the Executive position.
All government employees will have no job protections,
the end of our Republic, a very sad projection..
Inclusion of A Delusion
With our ideas there had been an inclusion;
Disturbed when found out to be a delusion;
Have no fear,
It did appear,
Extended out other side now a protrusion.

Today I’m blessed with the task of clearing up some confusion…
when it comes to DEI- diversity, equity and inclusion…
Personally I’m am mortified…shocked…dismayed…appalled…
why when it comes to DEI…people are confused at all
Diversity, equity and inclusion will always make our country…our world strong…
anyone who agrees will always be right…
and the rest will always be wrong.
Oh yes, we are aware.
That you are a despair.
You are no savant.
So what kind of recognition would you want?
So you would like to be included?
In contests you will never win?
It seems like you are not able.
To avoid being unstable.
What is there left of you to accommodate?
When your whining will never abate?
You are guilty of being hopeless.
Your attempts to make friends will not be missed.
Include me in your life, my love
Let me see you cry
Share your thoughts and feelings
Believe that I wont fly
Fly those feelings to the moon
Drive those actions to the sea
Smash the pain into the caves
Make my life real again
Not lost in no where land
My heart full to overflowing
My heart open to the waves
Grow with me in the future
Full, complete and divine
I am waiting for the wonderful
I am worth the risk of time
Include me in your life
Let me see you fly
Share your thoughts and feelings
Believe that love wont die.
_dedicated to Nelson_
When dragons ruled the atmosphere
gliding here, and then flying there.
No battle waged on kingdoms where
the magical beasts made their lair.
The wind blew strong beneath their wings,
whispering wise, wizardly things.
As though angelic chorus sings,
their smoky song of solace brings.
Calling for calm against the wrongs
that other beings flung in throngs.
Let us live and sing soothing songs!
This land to everyone belongs!
"Peace!" They implored throughout the sky.
In formation, they flew close by
signaling in soft lullaby
that fearful others heed their cry.
Though they flew throughout darkened set
of sun and rise of moon – not yet!
Scathing hate spewed from whom they met.
Unwilling hearts to live and let!
Please excuse me if occasionally I repeat myself…If these words you’ve heard before…
but if you want a true depiction of what the world is like…go inside any bookstore.
Outside a bookstore there are people under the shadow of religion and politics
pretending they want everyone to be free…
but telling us what books we should read, who we should love
what color or gender we need to be.
Inside our bookstore yesterday I watched a man reading a book to his young son.
He read in English but spoke Spanish to him too…
because when people are blessed to speak two languages…this is often what they do!
But another young boy watching from across the store…through a pair of innocent eyes….
walked up to the man and said, “I don’t speak your language…but I would like to try.”
He said, “I know a little Spanish I can say Hola and Cumpleaños too…”
Do you know what they mean, the young man asked.
The little boy smiled, “I know hola means hello
but as to the other…I haven’t got a clue.”
The boy’s mother joined in their conversation…
and I was blessed with a front row seat…
right there in the bookstore…as I watched two cultures meet.
Outside the bookstore there are people trying to destroy
our uniqueness…our beautiful medley…our diversity…
Inside the bookstore we are happy to welcome and embrace all three
Which makes me wonder…if we could see the world as one vast bookstore
a bookstore without any walls.
where each one of is our own book with our own unique stories
our own chapters large and small…
Then we would all be inside a bookstore….
as it stretches from sea to shining sea….
celebrating each book for it’s beauty and its diversity…
the way our creators meant us to be.
But here I am, foisted into a corner.
My back straight, still as a scarecrow.
Mean as a scarecrow.
And they are like birds,
But instead of fleeing, they are simply chirping.
Not even at me, but around and around.
They are chatting, and my own teeth are chattering, but it’s not loud enough for them to hear.
Welcome, welcome! Welcome to this event that everyone cares about for some reason.
I want to just pretend to faint, so maybe they’ll say I can go home.
And hey! They’ll have something to laugh about when I’m gone.
But no, they need me.
They will laugh when they get home, but here I am welcome, welcome, welcome.
And they call it inclusion.
What would this world be without pockets of people like us?
How can we prove that we have things to discuss?
It may appear that our limitations are our scars.
When really, this pain we carry comes from being treated as bizarre.
To include us is to allow us to act with urgency.
As we are at risk of being impacted by being treated hopelessly.
Behold the varied colours in the sky
within the forms of clouds see golds and greys.
Each day they change before the gazing eye;
from dawn to dusk they constantly amaze.
Evolving through the spangled universe
our God of love creates them so diverse.
Above the atmosphere the heavens display
a host of stars and planets, comets too;
a spread of constellations in array
where distant galaxies are born anew.
Evolving through the spangled universe
our God of love creates them so diverse.
Around us spreads the natural world of plants;
some creatures hidden, some with colours bright,
as through the changing seasons they enhance
a range of habitats for our delight.
Evolving through the spangled universe
our God of love creates them so diverse.
We too are creatures in God's image made
of varied colour, race, ethnicities.
Let's live in harmony and unafraid
to fête our different personalities.
Evolving through the spangled universe
our God of love creates us so diverse.
Dear God of many attributes we learn
from what our Saviour Jesus taught and showed.
In reaching out to those whom many spurn
he drew them to your fold, a blessed abode.
With them we seek the joys of paradise
where all are held within the love of Christ.
