Best Horoscopes Poems

A Cocktail of Kaleidoscope

(ALLITERATION)
Cows milked: mitigated mooing in the meadows then
Weaving on the warp, some workaholic women

Harvest of hapless halibuts on hooks
Bookish book-worms buried in books

A palomino and a pony patter on the paving
Hucksters and hawkers hawking every housing.

Ravers out on the razzle raising a raucous razz-ma-tazz
Beavers busy building beaver-dams but about it quite blasé.

Doves cooing in divine chorus
Frogs frisking out of focus
Horoscopes are hocus pocus.

Tidal waves of tsunami treacherously tread
Sea-anemones scattered upon the sea-bed.

Geraniums genuflecting in jungle-like gardens
Hunters wary of wandering wild-life wardens.

All this when I ventured about videotaping
Nature's much nicer even with no landscaping

These are direly different scenes from different parts of the globe
Perhaps like a space probe's kaleidoscopic poetic probe

When Darren Met Jan

Jan and Darren once met up in a local bar
Darren hoped his chat up lines would get him very far
Jan was not impressed and wouldn’t give him her address
His chat-up lines are dreadful I really must confess

Darren refuses to heed the warning
Would you like toast for breakfast in the morning
Honestly Jan things are not as bad as they seem
You've seen me before, I'm the man of your dreams.

Oh I know Darren and you’re so good looking
A devil in the bedroom and you also love cooking
But I prefer to have my eggs unfertilised
Don’t look at me like that with your big brown eyes

I can see myself in your beautiful green eyes
I do horoscopes, Aha you found that a surprise
What the stars are telling me there is no disguising
When you sit on my lap, That's not Jupiter rising

Oh be careful Mr Watston! Will you behave!
If I sit on your lap I'll be in an early grave
You've always known I'm happily married
But in your dreams your thoughts can be carried

You forget I know your husband Bob
He's taking me to the TT if I do a good job
I'm to flirt and joke and laugh and tease
Until you beg for mercy and say pretty please

Oh Darren Watson you’re a terrible flirt
You eye up anyone in a mini skirt
And as for tightly fitted jeans
These things I guess you see in your dreams

I admit I've got a roving eye
I know you're into swinging so thought I'd try
Yes I know Bob will love you forever
But he promised us guys must stick together.

Your chat up lines are wearing thin
I’m not really after a night of sin
We truly are the best of friends
I hope our collaboration never ends

Ending our collaboration never entered my head
In the poems we write I can get you in bed
You are beautiful, sassy and have a great sense of fun
With wonderful legs and a fabulous bum.

SPRING GARDEN PREPARATION (20150213)

After the winter season
But before the rains begin
Catalogues of heirloom seeds
Delivered just in time
Earmarked and prioritized
Farmer’s Almanac consulted
Given planting periods
Horoscopes included (but useless!)
Individual seed varieties ordered
Junk mail shredded and added to compost
K (potassium) added as potash
Lumber purchased for trellises
Mulching around transplanted seedlings
Non-Genetically Modified Organisms only
Organic fertilizers only, too
Planting by phases of the moon
Quick-fix pesticides are anathema
(Round-Up kills everything--US, not just weeds)
Seed boxes keeping seedlings warm
Testing the soil for minerals and organics
Unleashing ladybugs and pollinators
Vertical gardening to conserve space
Watering just enough, but not too much
Xenocide, killing unwanted weed species
Youngsters helping (or hindering)
Zoning plants to vary root depths

Aquarius and Leo

You are Aquarius, I, Leo the lioness; you are wind and I am fire.

You blow on me, causing an inferno between us; a wild trembling deep
in the soul.

You are my husband, I, your wife; for three years those flames have raged,
let them burn on, burn on, out of control!

(To my husband)
I love you, even though our horoscopes say we shouldn't be together. That
just goes to show you the freaks we are! lol

Fleeting Emotions

FLEETING EMOTIONS

Making decisions by sight
We let our emotions be our guide
Doing what we want to do—as pride and feelings rule
Taking common-sense approaches, evaluating risks – our pros and cons
Seeking supernatural guidance—stars, horoscopes, and best selling self-help books
God created our emotions, intending them to be fulfilled but not to rule
Creating roller-coaster rides with every whim and trend
His prescription for our wisdom—is in His to trust
We become fulfilled as He fills us
Sight is limited—Faith is not
Walk by Faith, not sight

Faith is the bird that sings, while yet in the dark with trusting wings<>

Continuing Job Search Implodes

When I was skinned

I made a little list-

Call it (Something Here) :

It started out,

'I am getting older,

what should I do? '

Like go on the road,

Actually join the Legion or

Take vows for the ashram of Guru SatChitAnanda.

.

Buy acre of land and travel trailer

Raise garden, keep White Leghorns

(like Dad) ,

Foment Graduate School riots,

Teach,

Commit suicide with tea

Commit horoscopes for money

Or go home or

Sell health foods and

Grind my own peanut butter

Drive a Big Rig

Ten days on the road

Eating fries and dogs

Or

Take a job with the state

As employment counselor

Give out food stamps.

Walk across Africa

Without shoes,

Establish base lines for jumping beans

Test kangaroos for tie-downs

Photograph mangoes in flight

Or herd silver-plated ants,

Forest Ranger in Chromium Forest,

Study ancient petroglyphs for Shell

Herd sheep on mesas in Utah

Wander High Desert in search of

New alluvial fans,

Search for aliens in Rachel (NV)

Put all on a number in Vegas,

(List ends here):

Call the President,

I've got a job

In Trust, (some state here) ,

Job Duties:

Replacing Wisdom Teeth

Milking dry rattlers

Finding wild women

Listening for Agave worms,

Raising desert flowers

And sitting quietly with the stars,

'There you go...'

'Thanks! '

My Zodiac

Cancer is the sign
Zodiac born into being
Moods captured with words

Trusting the tide
Water is my element
A part of my soul

Crabs shelter their home
Hard top shell, soft heart below
Sensitive I am

Twelve months in the year
Horoscopes all around us
Cancer is my sign

Unzipped Lips

even the sun goes down, heroes eventually die
horoscopes often lie, tearful eyes become dry
jobs come and go, people you thought you knew, you never really know.
hello's become goodbye's
doing the lows, put you on your highs
what was occasionally is now often...
and what was often is now seldomly...
the words I LOVE YOU starts to sound rehearsed
...and the things you used to do out of love, now seems like a chore.
you're older now, past times that used to be fun, is now a bore
love has it's conditions, hearts can change positions
what was always, now seems like never
the sad days ain't getting no better...but the bad days make you more better
...and the places you thought you'd go, you never really went
...and the people you thought you'd meet, you haven't seeked.
...and trust me, you know when the rain turns into hail, but when all else fails...
U LIVE, cause that's LIFE.

U live Life

Destiny

dont read horoscopes
dont worship the stars
dont worship the planets
not even mars

jesus is our destiny
for what we will become
say being a policeman
or a docter
only the lord nows
what we will become

why not worship the one how made the stars and the animals the lord
god all mighty the one how made heven and earth

Catholicity of Faith

Horoscopes defy what the mind already knows
Sagittarius categorized, Catholically inclined
Religion forces Signed eyes to reconsider deliverance
Archer status on the dance floor
Lips poised clothing crunk'd
High heels dipped in ghetto couture
Street loved, Sirens seem to posess me with Hip-Hop streaming
Cold blue steel pressed against my thigh
He makes me forget Good Girl analogies
Marxist ideologies and paying the water bill
Electric cars and global warming
Catholic tendencies clash with knee-jerk leftist remarks
Minorities have a propensity to be Democratically oriented
Shall I take it to the highest point of disregard
And let Disneyland dreams give way to worldly needs
                                                     Oh God
May we philosophize before his muscles take me over
Smiles reconcile what was once sober
Drunk off uncertainty
"I live for the moment" lies
We all need a little healing
I forget my repented chants to forgive sins
The more educated I become the harder it is to blindly believe
Faith is a tired charade that I must play
Center stage, bright eye'd and readily paid
I believe but must I rely on what the homily says
The bank notes the eagerness in charity of diluted masses
I trust in the Lord
Everyone needs a mentor
To relinquish safety in the face of uncertainty
Is something revolutionary
Am I to fall in love with guilt as my ancestors before me
Will Jesus still love me if i'm not sorry for smiling
I'm not sorry at all for being
Lividly in love with living
But was it T.S Elliot who was so declined to meet
The basic devotion in his poetry
Or was it me who denies faith everlastingly
I'm already twisted with these bottles of opiated, over the counter conviction
Priests who color me darker then I was before I dipped my hand
Into sanctified waters
Questions procede answers that are left for dying
The Vatican with daily mantras force me to facilitate fate
Is this the right religion for me
Why isn't faith enough, destiny binds me to unforgiving roots
Relatives in Zoot-suits trying to mix it up
The fine lines between being revolutionary and being impious
Are fading so slightly from the clear cut minds
Or is it mine whose mind is cut from something similar to sacrilede profanity
Surely we shall see
With prayer in my hand
the devil at my feet

Childhood

When I was small
I smiled, laughed and played
I asked questions
I ran behind the trains
Played in the rains.
Hummed music
Tuned antics.
Then dawned the puzzling age-
Life invaded like a stranger, prowler and a thief.
Haunted enigmas of horoscopes and palmistry
To believe them or ignore them again another mystery.
I was asked to grow up-
To fit in and belong-
My heart longed to sing a song
Of the cruelty and the wrong.
I was asked to be a girl-
But I ignored all womanliness
I was made to feel as an instrument
I had no joys, no sorrows of my own all were on rent.

Day of Freedom

Feeling good, finally free, guess it includes the spirit
The spirit of freedom encompassing, engulfing
memories follow through with their usual routine
but they only serve as motivation this time
to be the best possible outcome the past wants to diminish
defying the odds, making a difference
becoming a positive force from a darkened place
A struggling childhood should have crippled all hope
destroyed dreams
gave birth to a determined loser waiting to win
represented by twins, a pig, and an ash tree; all horoscopes
The spirit animal being a wolf, chosen animal, chameleon
Is there any shame, any regret
no, not today
Shivering in the cold winter's breeze
counter-balanced by the warmth in a twilight lit heart
Rain king, no I'll leave it Counting Crows
but it does calm the growing storms
knowing I have the strength and means
to overcome my personal demons, my personal illness
but I'm done boasting about my new found strength
I need to give it away for a better purpose
there's more pressing matters deserving my attention

The Day I Die

The day I die is when I see the light
my body lit on my pyre

my ashes one with stardust again
into the wind it blows away

and bones belonging to rocks and river
nothing to fear and nothing to hold dear

I would part as I came to whence I came
to the grand halls of my grand fathers and my brother

through hell fire no one to guide
The sorcery of life has been a misery

footloose escapades, where I misstepped
my own judgements have become my enemies

I have let myself suffer for those
who are not willing to walk into our lives

by building stories and unbroken bonds
in my heart in my own idealised dreams,

whilst I became nothing more than a passing cloud,
decomposing rust, and saw dust in their fading memories.

no hope even in the horoscopes
stars too are out for their vengeance

guardian angels have left their posts
gods have forgotten their beloved son

At the crossroads of choice
do I give in or do I give up

Old Poets

Old Poets
Poem
Lionel Derbyshire

Old poet word's never die
They keep us going
All the time
Stirring up the mind
We refer their chaste
Clerk people who
Keep their trademark
Mentoring accross a divide
Slapped on plain paper
Without blog and android
Penmen who keep the world going
Giving inspiration in ode or sonnet
Their verses strikes the chords
Which rules this universe
To invent new thoughts
And made us all the enterprise
How great they are saving
Wretch and raider all the time.
They tell us how to mint a dime
And the value of the honeybee.
They periscope deep in our souls
So we can talk of horoscopes
They wind us up when in dispair
To look out for a breaking wave
And make us happy in a shallow cave.
These are seers of the crystal ball
Who let us plan another day
Old poet's never die ..
We read them all the time
They are hardworking wordsmiths
Improving a berserk world all the time.

Horoscopes

A person sits down, figures out the position
Of the planets, and the stars
At the exact time of one's birth to do a
Forecast under their sign. Is this Devine?
You can look to the things that are afar they
Really are spectacular.
They're a never ending reservoir
Of knowledge seeing how the planet's always
Realign.
A person sits down, figures out the position
Of the planet's, and the stars
Makes out a years horoscope calendar
With a cool design.
You can look to the things that are afar they
Really are spectacular.
Is this what is popular?
It this really your lifeline?
A person sits down, figures out the position
Of the planet's and the stars
This is so bizarre.
I have my own outline.
You can look to the things that are afar they
Really are spectacular.
I am just particular
Here's the bottom line
A person sits down, figures out the position
Of the planets and the stars
You can look to the things that are afar they
Really are spectacular. Me, I'll get what's with
In my reach for now and that would be my guitar.
