The Day I Die
The day I die is when I see the light
my body lit on my pyre
my ashes one with stardust again
into the wind it blows away
and bones belonging to rocks and river
nothing to fear and nothing to hold dear
I would part as I came to whence I came
to the grand halls of my grand fathers and my brother
through hell fire no one to guide
The sorcery of life has been a misery
footloose escapades, where I misstepped
my own judgements have become my enemies
I have let myself suffer for those
who are not willing to walk into our lives
by building stories and unbroken bonds
in my heart in my own idealised dreams,
whilst I became nothing more than a passing cloud,
decomposing rust, and saw dust in their fading memories.
no hope even in the horoscopes
stars too are out for their vengeance
guardian angels have left their posts
gods have forgotten their beloved son
At the crossroads of choice
do I give in or do I give up
