Old Poets

Old Poets Poem Lionel Derbyshire Old poet's never die They keep us going All the time Stirring up the mind We refer their chaste Clerk people who Keep their trademark Mentoring accross a divide Slapped on plain paper Without blog and android Penmen who keep the world going Giving inspiration in ode or sonnet Their verses strikes the chords Which rules this universe To invent new thoughts And made us all the enterprise How great they are saving Wretch and raider all the time. They tell us how to mint a dime And the value of the honeybee. They periscope deep in our souls So we can talk of horoscopes They wind us up when in dispair To look out for a breaking wave And make us happy in a shallow cave. These are seers of the crystal ball Who let us plan another day Old poet's never die .. We read them all the time They are hardworking wordsmiths Improving this berserk world all the time.
