Best Holly Poems
Oh, holly tree, friend to me,
with scarlet berries to see
that delight my eyes to feast
as winter’s dearth so released.
To rest my head upon leaves
of evergreen, glossy sleeves -
spiny foliage shall seek
to hide ruddy breast and beak.
Melody of song I call
for you with snow’s silent fall,
and I, messenger of hope,
shall brighten days of white scope.
Sacred for peace and goodwill,
bringing warmth to season’s chill,
forever so shall you be -
Oh, holly tree, friend to me!
As she walked across the sand,
receding waves made graffiti
out of the footsteps of a Valkyrie.
An ocean’s city let go of her hand
as we passed under a tree –
her hair like the gold of Valhalla’s marquee.
It was there, in another god’s hall,
the raven flew under a ceiling of shields,
and her grace lived in every swan.
It was then, when I first met need,
thirsting for wine but settling for mead.
Baldr’s death carved into a stone wall
moved me west to the mistletoe.
Her face held by another, his fingers
the lightening that tore open the skies
and bled the blue into her eyes.
My first loss and left out of place,
to learn what can’t be taught.
Holly greens year round
Remind us of Christmas cheer
Even in summer.
Jolly holy Christmas.............
The white season is around the corner
and the snowflakes will start falling softly on our heads
Its a month for celebration that's welcome the Christmas
and the best time of the year to enjoy merry Christmas
Chorus.....
Wish you a jolly merry Christmas
and have a holy merry Christmas
It’s a day of our Savior King Jesus Christ
was born to save our world
The Christmas trees are decorated and illuminated
and the gifts are overflowing under this beautiful tree
The carols are sung in every corners of the streets
and the kids are dancing and singing in the town
Chorus.......
Wish you a jolly merry Christmas
and have a holy merry Christmas
It’s a day of our Savior King Jesus Christ
was born to save our mankind
The silver bells are ringing in the churches
and Santa is on his way with loads of toys
All the children are waiting to spy
to see how the reindeers are flying in the sky
Chorus.......
Wish you a jolly merry Christmas
and have a holy merry Christmas
It’s a day of our Savior King Jesus Christ
was born to enlighten our lives

Jolly Holly wanted nothing more than to fish
In her entire life, she had made only one wish
All I need is a boat
One that will stay afloat
She had never been described as a sexy dish
Holly had other attributes. She sure could cook
And no one else was better at baiting a hook
With minnows and grubs
She stayed out of pubs
Because most men never gave her a second look
There was an air about her... not a pleasant one
It was a fishy smell that fellers liked to shun
Then one day she met Gus
A man, big as a bus!
He looked at Holly and said, "Take me fishin, hon."
Wasn't long, 'fore Gus moved in with Jolly Holly
The fished all day and made love each night, by golly
He married that lil lass
On a boat, catchin' bass
Got a collie and twin girls, Molly and Polly
A grand holly tree
invaded by squirrels stealing
all its red berries.

At quarter past eight, I thought I would be late
Yet it was still early in the morning
Become what may, of the school holiday
My grandfather Joe was still yawning
At quarter past nine, I really took my time
My bowl of porridge was awaiting
At five past ten, I woke up from my den
My grandmother Sue was still debating
At half past eleven, we reached the River Severn
The ducks on the bank were astounding
At twenty to twelve, we saw a Mr Melve
He fell into the river, heart was pounding
At ten past one, my joy had nearly gone
My very tiny belly was to grumble
Yet five minutes later, we saw a kind waiter
The best meal ever, rendered humble
At twenty five to two, we visited the zoo
Gorillas were looking at me strangely
At five past three, birds surrounding me
They seemed to want to re-arrange thee
At quarter past four, we reached the zoo door
Grandmother left the shop so jolly
At half past five, her smile had come alive
She had bought me gifts and holly
At ten past six, my bike he had to fix
The shining glare was less appealing
At half past six, I was really in the mix
Dinner time coming was the feeling
At five to eight, they thought I couldn’t wait
Bedtime stories were commencing
Laughing in the night, a glorious sight
Grandfather talked about fencing
By quarter past eight, at a splendid rate
Grandfather saw me looking sleepy
Into the night, switching off the light
Twinkling stars will surely greet me

Blow me holly spirit
Blow me with vigour
Blow me like a whirlwind
Blowing a piece of paper
Blow me far away
Away from the devil
Blow me i say
Away from his temptations
"Allah, kiss me once more
Fill me with song."
-Donovan
Allah my bugs, Allah my pimples
You don't know what lurks in my dimples
Oh boy, when you kiss me
Oh joy, you get a weird disease
That all the world will see.
Allah my dogs, Allah my kittens
You don't know where I've been a-spittin'
Oh boy, to Hell and gone
Oh joy, at a Furry Con
Where you're the cat for me.
Allah my gloves, Allah my mittens
You don't know by whom I'm smitten
Oh boy, could it be you
Oh joy, it's a heady brew
I think that you'll agree.
Hopin' and flyin' high
Still somethin' was amiss,
Just you know why ...
It had to end like this
Not fade away a shining star
With three million records sold,
Yet, silent fell his guitar ...
And, glasses rest infold
A sound never to be heard
Soon after that final show,
Boy, give us a clue, a word
Maybe one day we'll know
What happened that dark night
Over a quiet field of corn,
Lost in a flurry of white ...
Then found early the next morn
Ever altered by what he gave
Things change and time flies,
Rock n' roll, rant and rave
And still the music never dies.
slick shine of a leaf
luxurious red berries
winter holly bush
The Holly Bush
The green leaves are shiny and bright
The red berries catch the pale winter sunlight
The blackbird sits underneath the great bush
Plucking the berries off, he’s in quite a rush
The robin sits on a branch close to the holly
His red waist coat stands out and looks so jolly.
He watches the blackbird plucking at the berries
Some drop to the ground and make the robin feel merry.
He knows the worms will come to investigate
And when they pop up it will be too late
Not only will the blackbird eat up his fill
The robin will feed on the worms, but still
That is the way things have to be
Be glad you are at the top of the food chain with me.
Holly love's treasures
minds keep busy with children
hearts' part and parcel
Oceans never dry
being mothers always cry
when children get hurt
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL MOTHERS OF THE WORLD FROM BL DEVNATH
sun brings holly shrub
out of night's dark shadows
Mosquitoes swarm
Holly
As I look deep into her eyes. I see the love waiting there.
Like the most beautiful sunrise. It warms my soul and removes the chill from the air.
She lifts my spirits with just a simple smile. She heals my heart with her warm embrace.
She helps me forget my worries for a while. She does all this with her style and grace.
All too often I let the world get me down. She seems to share all the pain I feel inside.
It breaks her heart to see me frown. She’s the only one whom I can confide.
She found me in the dark. She led me to the light.
When my world was torn apart, she held me so tight.
She is my Reason
She is my Purpose
She is my Life.
In fond dedication to my wife Holly ^^
