Best Heart Rate Poems

You Are, I Am

open your doors
close all the windows
sleeping's such a bore
suffocate it with pillows

psh, i'm not hellbent
shut your mouth
it's called character development
WOOPS. broke routine again
and the poem's gone south.

made myself out to be the bad guy
so they wouldn't feel as sad when i die
so many
so many damn times you told me
all those uplifting words regarding my significance
did i ever stop to listen?
now look at all this tension

i am the patient
you're the asylum
this heart rate is hesitant
unless you revive them

i'm the addiction and
you are the needle
i'm the mutilation
you're the scars that will heal

i am the stash
and you're the supplier
i am the match and
you are the fire

you are the truth
and i am the dare
you are the daydream
i'm the nightmare

i am the cigarette
you are the lighter
i am the pirouette
you're the choreographer

we all are so sad
we've both lost our thrill
that's just too bad but
we both know the drill

made myself out to be the bad guy

so i wouldn't feel as sad when i die

I want to ride a zebra

and race the rays of radiance
       through heat-waves’ sailing gradients -

     a folly wild - a mood untamed
   elated hands in bristled mane
unbridled veins uncorked champagne...

   yes! elevate sedate heart rate
I WANT to ride a zebra

stripes yin yang oasis sweet and
whimsy rules a drumroll beat as

        gallop sways euphoric roughness
crossing plains of dreamy lushness -
    steed’s exotic tender toughness
pacing thrills in state of luscious...

yes! animate to sate my wait
I want to RIDE a zebra

         savanna grass a grand expanse
            a lion’s roar - hyena's rant
          amuse myself with peril’s speed
     adventure sows romantic’s seed... so

         gestate date with fancy’s fate
YES! I want to ride a Z E B R A !

White Devil

Call it what you want!
I call it, his favorite season hunt...
Two hoofs imprinted near the riverfront.
Echoes calling my soul with a loud, ferocious grunt.

I smell it in the air, lost upon the white golden stair.
A deep frost dwelling all over his lair.
Tangled by the frozen grip of my hair.
A decision, I declare to give what he won't spare.

This man has no red suit..
Lurking in the white to recruit.
A midnight suicide clouding me with pollute.
I pause my tongue on mute, lost in a white castle chute.

Headed straight into a shivering blazing star path.
The land of snow covered like a bubble bath.
Breaking icicles like crystal glass, suck3d by the milky-way mass.
Multiplying bruises like a cascade, enjoying the aftermath.

Finding a way to slit the pain in my domain.
I grab a coat and lace my name to Mary-Jane.
Inserting the finest line to ease the drain in my brain.
I drink the icy scotch, and drop a silver nickel into the devils cocaine.

Fallen in to his bait, its too late, I got 7 lines on my dinner plate.
I'm covered up in snow, enjoying the amazing way to suffocate.
Eight beats to every minute is my new heart rate.
I'm reaching for the white golden gate, where the white devil waits.

Drowning like liquor in a frappe mixing the winter's high tide.
Death to my soul is where I hide under this white blanket neutral side.
Too heavy to uplift this storm lost in the devil's cold custard suicide guide.
Waking up in a coma, in a world where white collides with the rage of suicide.

Premium Member When I Love Thee

 I LOVE THEE
I am no voluptuous beauty nor do I live a life of purity
I can only say: I love wholeheartedly with all I am so truthfully

I keep my heart open though it gets hurt so often
I avoid to be irate as I know love changes the heart rate..

Guys tried to coo and woo, they say words as for "only you"
Yet, hard to believe it is true as I see some untrue

I give chances as my heart marks with tact entrances
I learned from various instances looking man in romances

In places where rules impede, two persons who wants to bid
Not of money but of affection, in them must be determination

I love thee not of what you have…
Not even of who you are but to how you are to me…

If I love you, don't tell me much what to do…
As me, myself will show you, I am that real and true..

Yes, I am liked by many but tell you what:
I don't like this honey nor am I proud of it in anyway
One is enough to make me stay

Stand with me through it all, I give my best not to fall
My name your sweetest call echoing in every wall..

Hold me firm yet dear; allow me to move closely
We'll make it anyhow, treading smoothly on flows...

We are strong, aren't we? No one moving alone
Together we'll face phases in tune, though there will dunes..

Premium Member The Hill

On a bright sunlit morning, washed brilliant with clover,
the day was alive with complacency, as color.
The day had no reason to quiver off course.
A cat in a tree, was stalking a bird,
and people were rising, to go off to work.
No one was thinking of nuclear things.

Below, in the trenches, a watchman has wandered,
checking a gage, and turning a page, of an old manual cover.
He scratches his head, and ponders a problem,
wondering how numbers could be out of order?

His heart rate goes up, his blood pressure rises.
He is wise to a problem and soon he's alarmed
He sets off the buzzers, but knows much too late,
the tremor he felt, was not only his own.
But instead, is the syndrome, we've always ignored,
Something horrendous.........Oh, God, what will come,
of the innocent families who live in the zone?

People arising, beginning their day
who scurry their children, in a rush off to school.
and husbands who carry a lunch in their pail,
punching a time clock, to work at the mill.

Just an ordinary day, in the lives of the men,
women, and children who live 'neath the hill.
"The Hill", that will bring them the end of the world.

Living their lives, on a tightrope so thin,
daylight begins, but how will it end?
A tremble so mild, invisible wave,
has seeped from the waste, with a radiant hand,
to swollow landscape, and burn with the sun.

As heart rates get higher, blood pressure rises,
the tremor we feel, is that of our own.
Oh, God, what becomes
of the innocent targets who dwell in the zone,
men, woman, children......who live 'neath the hill?
"The Hill" that will bring them the end of their world.

Experimental Life

I'm not sure you can see this
But my life is an experiment
Where I try new things out every day

I wake up in the mornings
Most times without warning
Put my feet on the floor, then on my way

I talk with people I pass
Monitoring if they talk back
If I feel lead I'll even shake hands

With this I check my heart rate
Making sure to keep up the pace
Like a lab rat at sciences demand

I'll visit Delicatessens
Jotting down lessons
Of what I do and do not like

I do this for science
Where future generations might find it
Interesting that I always order pie

I've even fallen in love
Believe me science doesn't know enough
And I'm not sure they'll ever find that out with time

But I'll keep on experimenting
My life project I hope soon won't be ending
For the sake of science and all of mankind

A Rapid Impact

A breathless voice hissed from just behind the child’s
left ear,
he glanced back
to see no one there,
his mind was filled with the thought of death,
his chest heaving as he tried to catch his breath,
and as if he had been running,
his face in the mirror darkened suddenly,
his emotions would hide,
his eyes wide,
his mind flips,
then a silent vow seemed to emanate
from his tightening lips,
he feels his heart rate,
racing,
his emotions now pacing,
his sanity dissolving before his very eyes,
he then feels some inner cries,
the child stared,
unblinking at his reflection,
he feared,
then a ghost appeared,
with a flicker of poorly concealed distress
in her eyes,
“ Run!”
Then in a second, before it was done,
it had to be fate,
because it was simply too late,
reality displayed a fact,
and the home invasion had a rapid impact.

Premium Member X-Ray Vision

Somewhere out of nowhere these feelings came about
A lustful, yearning desire appeared without a doubt
This time it was me, which made it oh so strange
To adjust the way I was feeling, something had to change

The vision of his body, his kiss, his touch
Is thought about more than often, like wayyy too much
The feelings tend to linger as I'm trying to understand
What it is exactly I'm feeling about this man

I can sense his presence through his smell in a room
When I enter quietly hearing my favorite tune
The vision in my mind is a sexual chemistry
As I sit and lay and think the thoughts of him inside of me

Being around him makes me want him more
As the adrenaline builds up like never before
The stimulation is felt as my heart rate increase
And I am longing inside for these fluids to release
But to put out this warm, feeling of fire
Cannot be done with only one desire

I tell him what I'm feeling as it's difficult some days
He tells me I'll be alright and I'm just going through a phase
He's patient and he listens and this helps me get through
During this time of uncertainty when I'm not sure just what to do

In many ways we are just alike and would be a perfect fit
But I understand the reason and he helps me deal with it
I know it will never happen, the vision inside of me
For what I was experiencing was my personal fantasy

Premium Member If I Were Your Love

Get rid of the ice, pills and hash.
I wouldn’t hide your stash.
Down the toilet it would go.
If I were your love, if it were so.

I’d lock the door, hide the key.
We’d do it together you and me.
No use you wailing or screaming.
I know this is just me dreaming.

To be right there with you,
I know I could help you through.
Through anxiety and muscle aches,
I know I have what it takes.

Withdrawals aren’t that easy to take.
If I had your love, a change I’d make.
Paranoia and irregular heart rate,
Together we could seal your fate.

I’d make you eat and exercise.
I’d hold you when you fantasize.
Change the habit of your sleep.
My feelings for you are so deep.

Til withdrawals subsidence begin.
Should fever or seizures set in,
Caring I will make that fever gone.
You will start to want to go on.

I would stay and be right there.
Always with you cause I care.
Together we’d beat this thing.
If I were your love, joy I’d bring.

But I am not your love, it’s not me.
She has your heart, its plain to see.
I adore you with conviction.
And she will still aid your addiction.

Premium Member In Winter's Slumber Land

Cold winds, the assassins of startled vegetation,
blow in with late autumn. Snow arrives
to cover the terrain with blankets
of white, pristine feathery snow; meanwhile,
some bodies of water turn into ice.
As the sun hangs low in vales of shadows,
December silently creeps in.

Skunks, raccoons, squirrels and other small mammals
also have crept in silence . . .
to hide inside secluded spaces against the cold’s encroachment.
Their breathing, heart rate, and metabolism slow down.
Waking periodically from their torpor,
they feed and then go back to sleep.
As cold-blooded as the enveloping snow,
snakes slither instinctively into crevices of rocks
as turtles and frogs burrow into mud.
Bears, having feasted in the fall,
now hide in their dens in a state of deep slumber.
How silent and tranquil is the realm of nature’s creatures
hidden from the prying eyes of us humans.

Some of us become almost as sluggish as the animals
squirreled away in their nests of twigs and leaves.
We feast like the pre-hibernating bears.
In a festive mood or perhaps feeling sadly forlorn,
we are more likely than in any of the other seasons
to hide away inside our own abodes,
especially when soft pearls twirl from twilight’s sky
and winter lays down a thick quilt of snow
beneath a canopy of sparkling stars.
We waken, at times like this, to our world abloom with snow,
grumbling at times about having to shovel our driveways
or to travel on roads slick with ice or snow.

Like the hibernating bear, I prefer in winter
the tranquility of comfortable slumber.
Nights in winter stay dark longer.
Our heart rate, breathing, and blood pressure drop low
as drifting into the deep of dreamy sleep we go.
Ah, winter, let me sleep in your quietude
as though I were being buried in the wondrous snow
of your slumber land.

Premium Member Commandements of Love

To love is to be romantic,
From Gay Paris to the Antarctic,
Without romance there is no love,
Watery, lukewarm, a sort of!
Never take your partner for granted,
Or distance allow you to be parted,
For these love affairs are risky
Have your love near, and act briskly,
The two of you are an item forever!
Never go to bed angry,
Don’t want to be love hungry,
Be trusting and be trusted,
Don’t be unfaithful, you’ll get busted,
Lend an ear to a problem,
And your heart rate will blossom,
Have a picnic in your garden at night,
Whilst the moon is light and bright,
Go skating if young, bowling if older,
Do things together, becoming bolder,
Keep in touch with family,
They form a foundation for harmony,
Never think you will change him or her,
Be assured of that,
Right from the start!
These love commandments you must keep,
Your love will rise and definitely creep
Beyond our universe, infinitely steep!

Love, longing, sorrow and mysteries
It is the figurative star you should look for
dreams and fantasies in an absolute reality
spices of life in a positive and creative way
liberate the mind, with lowered shoulders
In the light of the stars you will find back

                                       No matter how you feel
You do not must have a special experience
                                      or feel something strange
The stars dance in the sky
they shine in the golden luster
                                   A calm and harmonious phase
                                    the inner perception of peace
                                     The happiness we all seek
is not mentioned in gold letters
                                         Time to light candles
                                        and time for reflection

Premium Member My Bicycle and Me

MY heart rate raced as I sat and marveled at
this machine. A Cervelo S-5 carbon Bicycle.
This must be a dream!

So Aerodynamic and efficient with a stream
lined design. With a DI-2 shifter that shifts
precisely and is so divine.

I'm sitting here for several hours on my new
racing bike. They're tweaking it perfectly, and
making it right.

A true masterpiece that is designed for speed.
Which every adrenaline junkie definitely needs.

I quickly fall in love with the way that it feels.
At ten thousand dollars, its quality revealed.

As I get on it, it fits like a glove. I shift it quickly
as I start to take off.

I race with an accelerating rhythm, at maximum
speed. What an experience, a euphoric feeling
that overtakes me!

My heart pounds with excitement and my thighs
start to burn, as lactic acid builds up, rounding an
apex of a treacherous turn.

I glanced at my Garmin , peddling quickly in this
competitive race. Twenty-six miles an hour, I
average, pushing myself, at a grueling pace!

My heart pumps as I spin up this hill, anticipating
the descent, oh my what a thrill!

I try catching my breath as my lungs cry out for air.
Reaching a pinnacle point of exhaustion, and
borderline despair!

I'm pushing my cadence with everything I got.
Failure is not an option, like it or not!

I'm shooting for King of the Mountain, in this heart
stopping mile. Thank God it's all over, as I stop and
relax, for a while!

It's all finished now, as I check out the Strava on line.
And much to my amazement, I am the fastest, of all
time!!

I wish I could take credit, and be solely responsible
for this great feat, but I know in my heart, it was a
great effort, made by My Bicycle and Me.

SOUL MATE

For you I will change my life.
Someday I will become more than just a wife.
Not every passerby means something.
Around you, my heart will jump and sing.
I will always be around, like an air balloon.
While your air blows away the gloom.
Even when we are mad, or the times I made you yell.
My heart is lock behind your midnight jail.
Despite the times, life does not go well.
I will always be your soul mate.
Our love is entwining with the best heart rate.

Your soul and my soul will entangle together.
Creating a tangle, that makes things better.
I will reach you in every level of your weather.
I need you to feel me in this poem or letter.
The fascinated kisses where meant to last forever.

My heart is torn with the thought, I am not suppose let go.
My fate was drawn out to meet you down by the "RIVER POE."
Where we connected fast with my pink and green flow.
With you I will dance around the fire "NAK*I*D!"
With no bad intentions that are wicked.
Store the innocence of them eyes for safekeeping.
I do not care about all those dots, which have you tripping
Down in Mandalay, where you are in a world of sleeping.

I will clone our dreams to retrace the smiles on my face.
The one dimension that collides us in to that special place.
I want to reach you when you are low.
Reaching farther than I could ever can go.
There for you’re my one true soul.

I will always be there for you with open arms.
A reality that does not come with harm.

We are each other’s destiny.
We will have a life pass eternity.
With you, our numbers exceed beyond infinity.

You are my one true soul mate.
No matter how long we both have to wait.

Our journey will never end.
I can choose to be just your friend.
However, you are the key to my empty space of lost faith.
Moreover, everything in me tells me you are my SOUL MATE!
