Let me not say hurtful things,
Or shameful actions do.
Let my words not sow deceit,
And thus bring shame to You.
Let my words bring only peace,
And my actions too;
That I may walk with head held high,
And only friends accrue;
For there are those who look for faults,
And point out others sin.
Let me build up my fellows Lord,
And not be one of them.
Cleanse my heart and cleanse my mind.
Let me not cause doubt.
Keep Your right hand on my shoulder Lord,
And Your left hand over my mouth.
Momma knows her girl ain't crazy,
Still hearing those wedding vows,
It never ceases to amaze me,
What she's going through even now,
While cryingly she goes on...sharing mommas loving hand,
She's cried a month of Sundays,
Felt the slamming door,
Hoping maybe someday,
Love is evermore,
In the rising and setting suns...of having a good man,
She's been tried by the Devil,
Felt the upper hand,
Been so disheveled,
Trying to understand,
Now her life must go on...without that wedding band,

One hand on my britches keeps them from falling down
One hand on my cane, which keeps me off the ground
I know a solution must be found, I can’t decide just what kind
I’ve been analyzing the situation; but it rather puzzles my mind
Could be gravity tugging on them that has them in such a rush
Or is it my belly hanging out there that has given them a push
Now I know I was looking for something; I guess I’ll just look around
I am hoping that I will know it whenever it is found
I believe that I was headed out for somewhere
But must find my jacket; nothing else fit to wear
I certainly have my hands full, as anyone can see
I know that I have to get going; but damn, now I have to pee
I'm flexing a muscle that no one can see

in traffic there is an accidie and weariness
and flatness and humdrum of the road
but leonard cohen helps with that
and i think about the poor north koreans
without their fix of coca cola
and the mental health of the finnish with
their billabong of coffee and caffeine flowing
out their ears and the best brand of water in china
has the biggest market reach and woodpeckers don't
get headaches because according to a
professional content provider they just don't
and speaking of the chinese
they've found a hut on the moon
some distance away from their rover; who can tell
who might be living in that hut
i look up out the windscreen at the moon
and imagine myself living in that hut
or maybe leonard cohen is living there now
and england have lost the first ashes test
and outside the hut is a scoreboard showing
australia need twenty runs to win
the hut has become a pavilion and there's plenty of
tea drinking going on
no finnish there pal
and someone shouts howssszat! across the galaxy
as asteroid 4660 nereus misses earth
as i miss childhood
it travels on and on into the depths of the saddle
of the universe

I know everyday I love you..
Without words I feel it too..
We cuddle in our nest for the night..
And wake under each other's wings in delight..

Maybe the future will not hold a river of gold,
but I know there is something that stirs my soul.
When my world crashes down, down, down,
and I find myself flat on the ground,
