Rows of heavy snow flocked pines
In varied heights stretch to touch
White cloud dappled azure skies.
Their blue-gray shadows cast across

Pristine snow and swift river's flow.
Steep hillsides lure camera lenses
With picturesque clear alpine air,
Sharing serene senses with dawn.

Shimmering bright in solar light,
Powdered snow in angelic glow
Captures diamond crystal auras
Reflected off the drifted mounds.

Rounded river rocks dressed with
Snow covered marshmallow tops
Greet the beauty of the celestial sun,
In divine display of this blessed day.

Hear the whispering voices of our tribal ancestors,
Echoing against the rough rock skin of Chacoan Canyon,
Telling the outsider white devils, that this is sacred ground,
Do not dare to tread here, for your own salvation's sake,
Lies at risk.
Can't these intruders hear, the rattling bones of the dead,
Beating against the native drums, calling forth the guardians
Whom protect these revered mountains, and ancient?
Forgotten ruins.
It's a presence of malevolence, given off by shadow stalkers,
Whom elude detection, spiritual chameleons these the unseen
And the unheard.
At dusk's twilight hour, does blood's mountain so flicker
Crimson red, for within dwells the beast, whom feast upon
The forsaken, those who have desecrated the purity
Of this sacred tribal land.
Weeping women of generations plead for mercies
Leniency, but the creature knows only basic instincts
Need for survival, and this is his native hunting grounds
Territory.
Can you not feel its eyes watching you from above?
Does not the hair stand up straight on the back of
Your neck, flee out-lander to a different venues location,
Before it is too late.
No medicine man's enchantment, or incantation's spell,
Can save thee, the sacred right's ritual is older than the
Desert sands that blow against these rock canyon walls.
In this arid arena the fallen are taken prisoner, by a dark
Phantom gladiator, who seemly is made of vaporous mist.
But the chieftain elders praise his existence, for he is a
Guardians sent by the power of the Great Spirit,
To protect and guard this land of native wonder.
Many thrill seekers come here to behold nature
In its raw state of brilliance, and few leave
Unscathed, for they have been touched by
The presence of the supernatural.
In chacoan Canyon, where the Colorado River
Still runs wild and free.
A killer crouches in a stance's freeze, waiting
For his next meal to step forth onto his sacred
Feeding grounds, welcome tourist, unto the ritual
Bloody feast.
The beast does smile, with fiendish delight, come'
Any further my friend, the creature speaks, and
You belong to me for all eternity.

Ancient Guardians

Primordial wood
Sheltering the cells of life
That shall sustain us

They guard lost gardens
Criss-cross forgotten rivers of solitude
All future seasons they rotate
Absolving rage with mute and gentle grace
Sweet angels
Blind to reason they spark rainbows
random, silent arcs that transform space.

They are constant, strange, eternal,
the very breath, and brain of God.

Kaitiaki (Guardians) of the Land

Thy Earth givest unto us
We shall return respect with thy dust
All thine years walking upon
Looking for Kaitiaki(guardians) who right the wrong
Nature is freedom pure and true
Staying grounded through and through
Next generation wait with thou respect
watching thy Kaitiaki(guardians) interlect.

Guardians of the Third Sphere

Electromagnetic swirling exploding gasses
The watchers watch the nomadic masses
Since time immemorial this has been done
Master Guardians on the Temples of the Sun

Majestic giants who show their might
Protectors of the realms and infinite light
Photons of Love that cascade to earth
Plasmatic radiance creating life and rebirth

Morning sunshine in fields of blue
Autotrophic organisms are praising you
Their Love through light in all the places
As we feel their warmth upon are smiling faces

Ultraviolet luminance that has become
Spiritual Beings on the surface of the Sun.

The Guardians of the Light
David J Walker

What is it,
This thing that parts
The natural darkness
In the eternal night

The strike of potassium and
Phosphorous, igniting
The only light
The only bright thing ever known
In this unknown universe

Parting the darkness from the light
As if parting the land from the
Storms of oceans

As if parting fractions and integers
And the body forms of
Men and women

Creating a need to name the dawn and dusk
And the lusty fractious musk of
Attractions of opposites
In flight

A fearful world that swirls
Around as
As if a terrifying carnival ride
As we become the
Guardians of the light

Guardians

My teachers hold me in when I need to learn they are there
When I am with them I am safe from the darkness for a time
The dragon ,
The succubus ,
The fae queens,,
The slyph,
The wolves,
These are my teachers
And my only friends

Silent Guardians

You stand there, silent & watching
each of you in turn holding a bank of memories
That are mine to draw from each day

To the North, the Catalinas
Draw me back to childhood days
of breakfasts, camp fires & snow ball fights
teenage drives & love's first kiss

To the East, the Rincons
Where I have wiled the time away
I've hiked your trails & greeted the moon
watched storms roll in & lightening play

To the South, the Santa Ritas
Long forgotten roads & ghost towns
hold my grief & pain, sorrow & tears
when from adulthood & its trials I ran

To the West, the Tucson Mountains
settling low & wide, hold a poet's dreams
Just me & a cactus wren serenade
as day gave way to desert night

You stand there, silent & watching
welcoming me home & drawing me close
At every turn I find you there
Solid & watchful, ever the Silent Guardians

Third Place

Of Guardians Gods and Freedom: the Drive of Thought

I contemplate my words with caution
i forge my stand with speedy resolve
as my student appears lost in time..
in a secret place of daydreams where
my surreal lecture boring penetrate in

My students eyes light up and i can feel
feel the rich beat vibrating in his essence
but today were teaching discipline..
and focus to master navigate life's hurdles
am teaching the soft navigators skills

I speak in manner devoid of flattery
for unto man the path is laid ahead
and pilgrim you have to take it..
its the only jail.. the journey of life
with discipline you attain destination

A times when i yearned to achieve
A times when my future was bright
A times when i was a servant of time
i yearn to tell my student.. freedom
is freeing yourself from the jail of time

I yearn to tell my student not be
fooled by the three dimension illusion
i yearn to explain the flaw in time..
i yearn to free him from the false mindset
i yearn to point the way to liberation

Yet the beat keeps radiating from
my young student... the unconscious
booom boom radiates back and forth
its the of the joy of parting the elixir..
of freedom without knowledge of it

There is freedom in the beat my friend
there is freedom that frees the mind
and there is freedom to partake all..
the good things in life.. i teach discipline
for with it you rule the world you rule you

The path of discipline seems like a punishment
but it's whats makes you victorious.. feel..
the restraint of the bond.. restraining a free soul
adorn your soul in music but restrain your excesses
it the key to overcoming the time prison..

The time warped concept of viewing life in three dimensions
the warped context of material visualization of the divine..
an ascension of thoughts as you overcome the time constraints
and achieve peace in servitude to the divine will.. the only duty..
worth of a mortal.. worth of a god.. worth of a great mind.... sage

Guardians Among Us

In mists and shadows we do abide.
And keep your secrets that you confide.
To protect you and keep you safe from harm.
From whatever assails you - we sound the alarm!

Sometimes you see us - if you know where to look.
In mountains, valleys, by a stream or a brook.
We'll never forsake you or lead you astray.
Whether you're sleeping, working, or just starting your day.

We're Dragons, Druids, Witches and such.
Guardians of Magick - we've got the touch!
Serving the Ancient Ones - with harm to none.
It's how we've been doing it since time begun!
