Best Grudges Poems
I held a grudge 'til four o'clock
And then I watched TV.
Remembered it at nine.
It very much hurt me.
Took grudge to bed and nurtured it.
Next to my favorite pajamas and pillow.
Added a bit of exasperation and sass to it.
Bigger now, it scratches me rough like brillo.
Took it out and shook it every hour.
Woke up in a terrible bad mood.
Sad I had allowed it all this power.
Glad I fed it no food.

I suffered,he laughed
I filled up his voids, he created mine.
I looked for roses,he gave cactus
I looked only for his heart,he focussed on my body
I healed all those stitches,he gave me wounds..
I ignored him,he started following
I left him,he cried
I didn't hold any grudges,he holds guilt.

Ballad
...They sent a copy of an old tin-type,
a picture of Milton and his bride,
one look at it and I knew the whole truth,
Small Doe in the fighting had not died.
A DNA test confirmed what I thought,
and I resolved to bring this all to an end,
Blue Hawk deserved know death’s sweet peace,
so out into the crisp night I went.
As expected Blue Hawk did appear,
fixed his eyes on me and drew his bow,
I threw up my hands, shouted out “Wait!
There is something that you really need to know!
The Indian hesitated at the words,
so I nervously took a deep breath,
said,”If you shoot me than you should now
you’ll be sending one of your own to death.
“Small Doe didn’t die all those years ago,
with her lover to the west she fled.
She married Edward, who went by Milton,
and a family of six children they bred.
“I descend from that big family,
which means your blood is running through my veins,
Herbert Blake was my great-great-grandfather,
but Blue Hawk of the Sioux is the same!”
They ghost before me seemed physically struck,
the bow dropped silently from his hands,
his form seemed to flicker in the darkness,
then he stalked forwards from where he did stand.
He came close, then peered right at my face,
at the eyes and the curve of my jaw,
anger in his look softened to acceptance,
something familiar if my face he saw…
With that Blue Hawk turned and trudged away
fading slowly as he went into night,
he’d gone completely before sixty steps,
and I turned back to see my scared wife.
She stood in the doorway in her nightclothes,
but would not take a single step out,
I walked on back, and took her in my arms,
said,”I think we will be left alone know.”
She asked,”What was it that you told him?"
I said,”I just let him know that he misjudged
what happened here all of those years ago…
far time to settle this age-old grudge.”

Narrative
Stormy clouds are traveling through your heart
And bitter grudges are ruining your happiness
Hate destroys and love builds everything which
Is beautiful. Get a grip on yourself while the midday sun
Shines on the neighboring hills and on the blue sea
Being angry, day and night, is bad and dangerous
Start by gathering a myriad of beautiful roses
For your life. Sometimes one must stop for breaks
You are the only person in the world who's perfect
What will you do, dear friend, on your last birthday?
Because you must weed and burn the grudges and excuses
You need more light; it's time to change the fuses
Humility is a divine gift. You must drown the grudges
That block you from living under the light of beautiful moons.

Nameless hurts evolve within the galaxy of the heart,
breaking the soul's grasp of eternal delights.
Bitter voices stir the brewing poison of judgments,
bringing hatred to the human mind's faulty sight.
Blame's lies escape each mortal lip,
hissing with a belief's fractured thought.
Pain drowns the songs of truth,
making waves from the tears so easily bought.
Grudges block the entrances to peace,
letting hate grow within the human shell.
Souls bathe in misery's dark glow,
leaving love trapped in despair's cell.
Anger carves sorrow into the fragile spirit,
hollowing out the breathing breast.
Tempers erupt with selfish passions,
as human egos fail compassion's test.

Holding grudges shouldn't be
Part of you or part of me
It just makes you really sick
By building up a really thick
Layer of hate deep inside
Because of our stubborn pride
No one saying sorry first
Even though we're gonna burst
Into a fist of hellish rage
Getting on the same darn page
Isn't easy when we are
Taking this grudge way to far
Lets sit down and straighten out
How this hating came about
Talking so sincere and freely
Opening up honestly

If only tears could talk,
They would surely be cutthroats.
If only fear could walk,
It would blindly go toward you.
And if only grudges are strong,
It would hold you forever.
If I would be honest about what I feel,
and follow the lead of my freewill,
I will unquestionably end up in hell,
And yet I will still say that I am well.
This ain't just poetry or one of the romantic passages.
This is mind and heart unleashing the damages,
When the mind says no and the heart no longer says yes either,
Neither yes nor no, it no longer knew what to say, for it has withered,
And the soul that aches is silenced by the guilt of morality,
Tell me you will be there for me in another infinity.

People tend to hold grudges.
Why not forgive, God surely does.
Take more time to really listen.
Because every story has to end.
When a loved one passes, you can't go back.
To say what you wanted, and to see them react.

The ABC’s of Grudges
By Dane Smith-Johnsen
Argument begets contentious disagreements.
Endlessness forever grinds. Harrowing.
Illusion, joyfully keeps laughter minced.
Nonetheless, ominous paltry quarrels revile.
Scorn traverses unquenched.
Victory's wailing xenagogue- (guide)
Yesterday zaniness.
(Simple solutions: Love one another and forgive as God will forgive us… or not.)

I once held grudges but I’m done so it’s over
Finally, you can stop looking over your shoulder.
Wisdom came as I got older.
The hate is the weight of a bolder.
It won't take my pain away, it only makes me colder

They are so overrated
Yet commonly used
Many of Which
Never quite diffuse
What is the purpose
Egotism and gangs
Fighting and rivalry
Hate and shame
What happened to that saying
forgive and forget
Let go and let live
Carpe diem never fret
Get over the problem
Shake hands and move on
Regret is the worst
When the victim is gone
Being sorry is okay
Showing you care
Admit you were wrong
Climb your next stair
Life is too short
As we all now realize
Never hold grudges
It's ruined many lives

vexed to gall
no anchor for rancour remains
no safe harbor for grudges on crutches
nor bitterness born of regret's aftertaste
for we agreed to differ, with our bygones forgone
to move on to settle on a calmer, sheltered shore,
where rancour's chains and anchors hold fast no more
and we'll ride out the tempest with sails lee-bowed or on ashore
let it be, let it be,
let the rancour
be done!

Your heart deserves great
And you should give it a try
Who says you can't be happy,
Happier than before
People shed off all your confidence,
Courage and trust and now,
You feel like your heart is empty
The truth is that you are strong,
Stronger than before, strong enough
To rise your flag and stand in your place,
Place those in your place in their place
Whom you trusted betrayed you,
And you are now furious at them
But your heart deserves great,
Greater than holding grudges
You are kind hearted, that's who you are
And everyone sees that in you,
Just as in the old days
All who looked upon you as their model,
Their chins are now down as you are
Their hope and not a legend as other stories
But you do exist then show them who
You really are, lady legend
Your heart deserves great,
But not all people want you getting better
As they bitterly want you down, onto,
Onto their feet
Feel yourself and fill yourself
With what you feel is great
As your heart deserves greater things
You are not alone in this
As many of us watch your back, limitlessly
And we do believe that you won't let us
Down as we believe in you, lady legend
Be brave and bless your heart
With a greater gift it deserves,
Courage and determination

Grudges are the easiest thing/
To acquire/
But the easiest to let go/
Easier said than done/
Learn how to let go/

In the ruts you have created/
Soon to see yourself/
Dig your own hole/
Only to comprehend/
That you're unable to climb out/
Of the grudge hole/
To lose your thinking ability/
Unable to let go/
Of petty grudges/
We thought/
Were important in life/
