Glistening Gokarna

GLISTENING GOKARNA

This scenic beauty, a grand temple town
Seated in the Arabian Sea like a golden crown
Bedecked on its bosom the blue beaches festoon
To name a few- Kudle, Paradise,Om and Half moon

Plays host to a galore of global tourists
Adventure enthusiasts and also motorists
Its a Sanskrit hub; has temples ancient opulent
Spirituality, Vedic chants have sprayed its sweet scent

The gracious mountains line the beaches pristine
Verdant vegetation like emerald has draped it green
Coconut fronds along the shores sway in gentle breeze
Colourful narrow streets and shacks to you please with ease

Savoring the magic of Sunrise and Sunset on the yellow sand
Makes you get lost in trance attaining bliss with its magic wand
In the twilight’s crimson red a natural painting of the retreating birds…
And fishing boats dancing with waves cannot be explained with words!

Notes:
Gokarna is a small temple town on the western coast of India in Uttara Kannada district of the state of Karnataka. Gokarna in Kannada language (my mother tongue) means Cow's ear.

Vedic chant-The oral tradition of the Vedas (Srauta) consists of several pathas, "recitations" or ways of chanting the Vedic mantras. Such traditions of Vedic chant are often considered the oldest unbroken oral tradition in existence, the fixation of the Vedic texts (samhitas) as preserved dating to roughly the time of Homer (early Iron Age).UNESCO proclaimed the tradition of Vedic chant a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity on November 7, 2003.

Autumn's Fall

Two silhouettes together,
Under the light of the moon.

The hooting of owls
Is singing a scary tune.

Dark shadows fly past us,
But your arms hold me tight.

With thoughts on your love,
I lose fear for the night.

The pumpkin that glows
On the steps by my door.

It seems to be smiling,
Makes me longing for more.

The moonlight in the sky
Shines down on the ground.

Glistening the leaves,
That covers the ground.

Premium Member O, Dry Your Glistening Tears

God has them in his arms
All the children and their heroes
O, the tragedy of New town
My heart is broken . . .

I weep and pray for the little ones
And those who died with them
And even those who survived
Each day a reliving pain . . .

Mourned throughout the world
The grief and suffering unbearable
God, it is so hard to fathom the evil
My heart is bleeding tears . . .

All those babies and the adults
Safe within Heavens gate now
Each with delicate and beautiful wings
Angels shining bright . . .

I pray for their families and friends
There is no answer to the question why
You can ask forever and never know
This existence borrowed time . . .

God, is our world so hopeless and evil
That our babies must die, needlessly
And those who try to protect them
O, dry your glistening tears . . .

Emerald Crystals Glistening Under Foaming Tides

Copyright 2014 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
Poetic Lyrics By Thomas Lam Hsi

Billowing clouds...of...rainfall....puffing down...as a Winter blanket!

Winds...traded down...as...nomads...circling 'round...Island swells!

An ancient...lantern...an orb...of dispersed...graying...eyes!

Starry nights...in the midst of...receding...mid-night veils!

A sailor's dream...a beacon...of faceted-jewels...descending down...as an
Avalanche...of a blanketed...waterfall!

The gentle swaying...of a love song...as a symphony...between the trees...
And the wind!

The chant of aloha...an ancient land...of love...and legend!

Flowers...as a...misting rain...of glorious...and...varied...puffing clouds!

Rain-forests...cloaked admist...the trickling sounds...of pebbled-ebbing...
water-flows!

A cacophany...of feathered...flight...swaying as the silken hands...
Of the tender...billowing clouds!

Endless beauty...magnificient...to behold...a trail of legend...and lore!

White sand beaches...pitched sands...softened...by Pacific Island...swells!

A voyager's...storied discovery...of an ancient...royal land...of peace...and love!

From chalked...and hued...canyons...to bluish...green...waterfalls!

Emerald crystals...glisten-ing...under...foaming...tides!

The land of aloha...a dream...a lover...and a...friend!

Never...to leave...a heart of diamonds...and a...soul...to live forever!

My Hawaii...my...lover...of old...and...my children's...children...forever!

Poet's Own Notes:

Royal Ohana of Kealoha, a 'crested' motto, "Spirit and soul...mind and body...
forever vested in the character and nature of the Hawaiian Islands and people!"

THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE GOD...THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY...WHO ALONE CAN
SAVE FROM Satan...who plays 'all' roles...the devil...the 'Lord Jesus'...
the 'Father'...the 'Holy Spirit'...all 'Other Gods'...and 'alien gods'...HE...THE
LORD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF IS FULLY GOD AND MAN...AND HE ALONE...
IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD THE FATHER...and to an Actual Heaven!

Glistening Water.

Glistening water
In the silver moon-lit night
watch natures beauty

Glistening water
upon the brightness of day
watch the silver fish

-glistening Time-

Not cut or polished
nor facet shaped
neither carat weighed
but a Diamond, none the less.

Jagged rough
hardened tough,
Laying in wait
on gravel ground.

For the Sun's
touching feel,
To arrive at just the right time
from any which, point of view.

With patience, enduring
to display it's glistening shine
in radiating, far afield
to the attracting eye.

Glistening Pastures

Morning dew glistens,
Illuminating the plains;
Sparkling scenery.

Glistening Snowflakes

Glistening snowflakes on watery springs

falling down from heavens stage

making a chorus as angels sing

Heavens open to hear the sounds

of people singing all around

sheltering tree's help critters shield

their baby's in the winters field

calling out to nature's door

hoping snow will fall no more.

But spring appears in one days time

opens up the weltering sun.

Glistening Light

Glistening mantras of light
                            ......shining
         Falling
                        ........on blankets of fresh snow
Becoming a frozen tundra of
                                 .......miraculous gems

Nature's plethora of snowflakes sparkle
                                          .....Refracting light
                     ........forming a shield

How generous is our maker
                          .......meticulously thorough
Nebulous heaven appears
                  .......knowingly unseen

Releasing light from shining sun
                                 ......and moon

Earth forever full of lights and truth glistening
