THE GANGSTER, Spoken by the popular SILENT ONE

Appreciation:
A big thank you Silent One for your splendid narration of this poem.

THE GANGSTER

Through foreboding, whispering, wintery air
A woken Heron shrilly shrieks somewhere
Reflective iridescent gem in a gloomy stream
The gangster with a poetic heart dares to dream

A living testimony to deviates and lost souls.
Where seedy worth defines unsavoury roles.
Perceiving her as a quintessence work of art
Fantasising a new start could transform his path

But his formidable foe of unbeatable might
Silently rejects him from her soulless sight
Scheming secrets spill, in the ruthless thrill,
While Angels weep for innocents who sleep

Nearer to his mark, prey to her game
Shame, oh shame! Like a moth to the flame.
Though only murder glows in her beauteous glance
The man gambles chance at a shot at romance

The bar reeks of treachery and strife
Trust is sporadic in a gangster’s life
Romantic interchange in hidden codes
Not charmed by romance, a single shot explodes

In this world of corrupt nights, where the energy dips
Between Jack Daniels sips, those sensuous red lips

The Reaper is the dealer; Destiny seals
Every gangster bends to the very last deal

 An Art film
Art films often "bear the marks of a distinctive visual style" and the authorial approach of the director. An art cinema film often refuses to provide a "readily answered conclusion", instead putting to the cinema viewer the task of thinking about "how is the story being told?

Whispers From The Stone

Verse 1

Epitaph for a Shy Guy

He spoke in secrets ,shadows said so sweet,
A murmur,muted,on the main street.
His silence screamed a story,softly,slow,
A secret sparkle scarcely seen to glow.
The quietest voice was quote,we carefully
quote it still,
His peaceful presence,a perfect,peaceful
perfect pill.

Verse 2.

Epitaph for the Baadjievanger (1)

He snared,the swift,sly,silver-tongued
salesman,
Who wove his webs, winning with wit, when
the world began.
His dreams were a dream, a dazzling dreadful
disaster,
He caught all the cash, moving closer, then
faster.
The final fool fell for fate's false flatter,
His promises proven dust, do they even
matter?

Baadjievanger-A hanger-on,a scammer,opportunist, trickster

Verse 3.

Epitaph for the king of Bling

Here lies a life lined with lovers and
loudness,
A silver sky sparkling several sounds of
stunning soundness.
He wore gold gleaming, his soul's silver song,
But glitter's gone,grandeur's gone,a glimmer
gone gone.
The final flash has faded,a silent, sober
state so swift,
His most mighty magnificence,a memory's
miserable myth.

Verse 4.

Epitaph For the Great Tycoon

A power prince,he piled profits past
the planet's peak,
He bought bank buildings and a billion
bank notes for a break,.
His grip on gold, greatest of governments,
gloomed so grand,
But all his stocks and shares now sleep
beneath the same sand.
He made millions and a mountain of material
money,
Yet mortal making means memory's most
melancholy morning.

Verse 5

Epitaph for a gangster

Here lies a life lived fast and loud,
A silent shadow in the subway street crowd.
His guns are silent,glory's grave,
A kingpin's kingdom nothing could save.
The darkest deeds now dust and dream,
only the diamond death did secretly seam.

Verse 6

Epitaph for a Drunkard

He drank the day,he drained the darkest
dram,
A storm of spirits, slurring slam,
He found his freedom in the fluid flow,
His journey's joke, the bottle's bitter
blow.
The final bar is closed, the tab is settled low,
He's now not near the nectar nor the glass's
glow

I Killed a Gangster

Until 1934 I was a barber, that used to be my profession.
Many people are suffering because of this Great Depression.
A Gangster walked into my shop but when he left, he had to be carried.
He was responsible for many deaths and I made sure that he was buried.
I usually don't brag but this time I love to gloat.
That punk asked for a shave and I slit his throat.
He dealt in Prostitution, Gambling, Booze and Heroin.
I made sure that he couldn't do anything illegal again.
I'm not ashamed of myself even though I lost my freedom and my wife.
I saved people from that animal and a judge sentenced me to life.
I'll be locked up for the remainder of my years.
I don't regret what I did, my conscience is clear.

(This fictional poem takes place in the 1930s.)

A Gangster Love

I was a thug in the streets,
Wasn’t lookin for love.
Then there you came
Like an angel from above.
You changed my way of thinking;
Baby, you touched my soul.
This lonely heart has been made whole.
To the ends of the earth I’d go for you.
I prayed to God so long to send me an Angel,
Someone that would love me and I could make
my KING.
And he sent me you.

In Love With a Gangster

His life is reloaded with indomitable passion
Thirsty for power and lustful enterprises
His love bleeds on the filthy streets
In dreams he haunts his enemies
Committed for no commitments
he whispers into my ears
his dynamite lips explodes my nerves
I break down in his heavy arms
He believes in detached love;
Sex with no strings
Inwardness never ruled his heart
He seeks pleasure in breaking rib cages
For gangsters are born to kill
He has survived the darkest prison
Hell and heaven far from his reach
A brutal death awaits his arrival
Graveyard will smell the flesh
Of this giant monster
My life ends in love with a gangster…

In Love With a Gangster 2

Thousand pieces of my broken heart

writhe and sings the tale of bedevilment[ torture]

love kills when faith turns delusive.

Innocense is masscred

promises are shattered

I have lived with the darkest truth,

a killer behind the beautiful face,

his ugliest secrets.

A gangster only knows his gun

traitorous to even his own mother and son

I am one of those fallen angels,

 a blood splattered mistress,

under his satanic grip.

my beautiful body now bruished

damages are irrepairable..

Graveyard will surely smell this monster

My life ends in love with this gangster…

To be continues….

A Gangster Life

A Gangster Life

To live a life of no regrets started from the life of cigarettes
The life of a gangster, or you can even say gangbuster,
For him no cares, and to understand him no one dares
He's just another Oakland thug; society will crush him like a slug

There's no doubt that he claims blue; he tries and tries to stay true
One day driving a stolen Camry, he got pulled over and thrown in jail
He was charged with felony number one; he's neither shocked nor stunned...

But the lesson is never understood, soon he returned to his hood
He met his crew in the avenue and the life of sin continues
He had no dream of kids or wife, all he understands if thug four life
One after another his partners die; he would leave all this pain if only he could fly...

He struggles day after day telling himself everything is okay
Soon, even his best friend is dead, and an empty future lies ahead
There's so much love that he needs, he screams as his soul will bleed...
Now everybody is gone; his crew is no longer strong

He chooses to rebuild his life even though it could end with a bloody knife...
To school he goes every day; he tries to listen to what the teachers say...

He's finally living in the right way; he feels the future is light
He doesn't even think of the day he'll be dead
All he sees is a strong future lying ahead

Gangster

Gangster

Gangster, Gangster, ruthless cold-blooded killer,
Destroyer of life, take no prisoner for bountiful gain.
Business Man, Protector, racketeer of feared innocents,
Taking what you will, secured with violence and pain.

Who are you, what are you, who gives you the right,
Building Empires, from untold misery and blood.
Strong of character, fearing nothing and no one,
Victims revenge is weak and will do them no good.

Persecutor, executioner, henchmen do your bidding,
How can a small, malevolent Man, gain such command?
How many will stand together, to take him down,
None I fear, his domination has infected your land.

Gangster, Mobster, hoodlum or plain villain,
Are you a Capone, Luciano, a Blinder, Mafia or Triad?
Will your name be remembered in glorious infamy?
Or simply a cruel hearted crook gone mad.

Blatent, Gonzo, Gangster Poet

I wish I had the balls of Bukowski,
I wish I had the genius of the Gonzo HST.
If I had the style of Gotti mixed
With the drive of Capone, left alone
To simmer with Lanskey, I'd be
The newest of new in the melting pot.
You either got it or not.
Mafia prose mixed with noble booze
And a refuse to lose, matched by who?
Nobody knows. Uncontested, irreverent,
Insignificant, insubordinate, yet,
Undeniably the truth, and proof that
No matter what the day and age,
No one can ever be the slave
If they pick up the definer of men...
...The Violent Pen.

Gandhi and Gangster

"After Gandhi there are left anyone for speaking honestly"
                                  V. Putin

Yes, I know,
how help you
and save yours teflon image
of steep national leader
in eternity.

You must start reforms
immediately
in all post-soviet area
where you so busy and artfully
have kept stagnant regimes
for own benefits and glory.

If you could not do that,
people told about you tomorrow:
he was certainly steep old boy,
but better not born and our time borrowed.

American Gangster

In the movie Denzel said Bumpy Johnson was just as important as Martin Luther
King
"Meditate"
Think about what that statement really means
American Gangsters are idolized as Kings
And what Martin said is just a dream
Unfulfilled
Because to the child of the ghetto its not real
Hustlas admired while customers dispised
To acquire clothes, cars, and women is the drive
American Gangter is how the youth want their lives defined
But every gangter isn't a Frank Lucas and survives
Some are locked up and doing time
While others were victims of homicide
Either way someone loss a relative and the family cried
Old hustlas say they had to do it
But that doesn't have to be our reality
We don't have to do it
Its a new day, new time
I know we still have the same crime
But lets approach life with a different mind and not admire the success behind
the crime
Cause in the end most got played
Because none of the gangsters took any of their possessions to their graves
Did they really have it made?
If Richie Porter, Karlton Hines, and Felix Mitchell could talk
I wonder what would they have to say?
They would probabily say "Follow Martin's dream of peace and equal rights
And seek to make money legally because making money illegally isn't worth
giving up your rights.
The fast life is fast and you can't keep up
And don't worry about earthly possessions you can't keep that stuff
So for money don't sell your soul
Cause no matter how much you acquire you can't fill that hole
I wish we would've known all that before they dug our hole
Then maybe we wouldn't have sold our soul
But for y'all youth there is a better way
y'all can live a life a better way
And if you don't listen to nothing else, please listen to what we say
In the end crime really doesn't pay."
Thats what the dead gangsters would say
Crime doesn't pay
Thats what they would say

To Be a Gangster

One needs to represent
And fly their colors true

One needs to be tough
And have what it takes

One needs to deal & sell
Meth, crack, heroin, coke

One needs to be
Heartless, ruthless
& have a holier then thou attitude

The gang life style
Is far from pretty
And no way to live

Going Gangster

I never got to know you, but you broke my heart.
The look on your Mothers face, that tore me apart.
You were everybody’s dreams, and nightmares too.
God, going Gangster, what grows inside of you?

Your beginnings, Momma tried, was a whole lot rocky.
Good kid ‘till Junior High, then you got so darn cocky!
Rebelled against everything anyone tried to do.
God, going Gangster, what grows inside of you?

Maybe, this life, you couldn’t see anything so great.
Your Momma died, when you went through the pearly gate.
Didn’t you know what a keg of dynamite could do?
God, going Gangster, what grows inside of you?

Did you think you were just in the movies?
Wearing red, flashing signs, was fresh and groovy?
Shot off your “high horse”, nothing left to do.
God, going Gangster, what grows inside of you?

Negative Image

I have lost faith love and respect for the institutions
We should have the grit to face our negative image
I am saddened by what is happening today
Why do agencies support elite class mafia?
I am extremely disappointed by intelligence
What they are doing is condemnable
I have lost faith in Judicial System
Guardians and protectors are foes.
