Premium Member Mummay Mummay

Mummay Mummay

Tucked up in bed so nice and neat
A little girl so very sweet
But all is not quite what it seems
She can’t find sleep because of dreams

Her mother sitting down the stair
Enjoying rest in comfy chair
A tiny voice comes to her ear
The story of her small girls fear

“Mummay mummay”, she faintly sings
“I am afraid of these dark things
Please come quickly my mummay
And chase these frightful dreams away”

Upon the stair a foot does tread
Then she’s beside her daughters bed
Away from eyes her hair she brushes
Red lips kisses, whispers hushes

“Now worry not you are secure
All your bad dreams I’ll endure
Come to me and let us cuddle”
Between the sheets the pair a huddle

Where golden locks begin to mingle
Faces touch and soft cheeks tingle
Hands caress to sooth away
The troubles that upon her prey

Feeling warmth of mothers breast
Against her lightly beating chest
Her eyes they flicker into schemes
Pleasantness pervades her dreams

The demons of her mind withdrawn
She’s free to slumber till the dawn
Soon from the child comes no peep
At last, she finds, her perfect sleep

Mother sees her laying there
With smile beset in golden hair
And wonders in a future day
Her little one will have to say

Now worry not you are secure
All your bad dreams I’ll endure
When in a time far away
Her babe becomes, mummay mummay

Premium Member Dear Dad

Dear DaD,
Please do not think of me and weep.
I did not die on that dim lit street.
I'm the sun that shines on you in a warm loving way.
I'm the son you'll reunite with on some future day.
I'm the young man in your car whom you taught how to drive.
I'm the little boy who looked up to you as I walked by your side.
I'm the sound of children laughing full of happiness and glee.
Do you recall how much I'd laugh when you'd often tickle me?
I'm all those Birthdays and Christmas Holidays that you never forgot.
You would shower me with presents whether I was a good boy or not.
I know that you miss me, that's why I show up
in your dreams as a child or sometimes grown up,
but after the dream has ended, you awaken feeling sad.
Perhaps this will cheer you up.
You Were The Greatest Dad I Could Have Ever Had.
You took me out camping and taught me how to swim.
We'd race and play games and you'd always let me win.
You took me bike riding every morning before school.
All my friends used to tell me, "Your dad's really cool."
I'm all of those bright blue eyed boys that you occasionally see
who all seem to have a striking resemblance of me.
So please Dad, don't ever think of me and cry.
My Presence Is All Around You.
I will never die.

Your Loving Son Always,

Michael

You Will Never Be Forgotten
You Will Always Be Loved
Rest In Peace My Beloved Son

"To the one held responsible and accountable for my son's death.
To the one responsible for taking my son's last dying breath.
To the one who caused so much misery and sorrow to your family and mine.
To the one found guilty of manslaughter who has now served his time.
If you are truly remorseful, then I've only one last thing to say to you.
If you are truly remorseful then I Forgive you."

The Path of Dorian

O' the case of Dorian
progressing through the sea,
battering the Bahamas
then shifting to a "three",
Have you seen the damage caused,
how islands lie in rubble?
Property and lives were lost
resulting from your trouble!

Now we wait so anxiously
to know the fullest measure
of this great calamity
ending in displeasure.
Soon will come the future day
when hurricanes desist.
Dorian, I'm pleased to say,
you will not be missed.

Someplace Else

A falling star met butter fingers,
  kissed the pavement rain,
scorched threadbare pocket cloth,
  dream vapour in the wet.
Dark smoke was all it brought
  to dreary eyes of pain,
and tears crept with sloth
  ancient as the sky.
Fresh bile around the grilles,
  steaming sweet purgation,
foretell a future day
  by entrails of clairvoyance.
A seeing eye fulfils
  my blind imagination,
all cats by night are grey,
  analogous charcoal shapes.
Someplace else, another room,
where I can spread like plague,
or go unnoticed, lean
  old driftwood on the bar.
Sometimes you leave perfume,
  a promise bloused and vague,
to linger sight unseen,
I sling my hook to home...
...where you supplant the reasons,
  a spell invoked and blissed,
to conjure my induction,
  becalm my raging sails.
My angel for all seasons,
  components sorely missed,
in spite of this reduction,
no less my world, my love.

Mary Disappears Pt 2

continued from Pt 1

Exactly one year and at midnight, when she turned twenty one,
Was the darkest of nights that had ever been since time had begun.
There came a great storm and when the lightning did strike,
caused that mirror to light up and begin to vibrate and hum with delight.
.
Rain was pouring and from the tin roof water was filling a drum.
The greater the storm, the greater the hum.
From the bed, Mary wanted to get up and run.
But she seem to be paralized and just layed there and watched stunned.

Oh the things she saw would have made your hair rise.
Maybe even caused you to go blind in both eyes.
It seemed like hours but was only a minute, then Mary felt very strange.
What was happening? She was floating and the mirror was in range.

As she neared it, it seemed to open it's arms and embrace her.
She was disappearing into the glass, looking into the distance far.
And as she left, she felt the most wonderful peace she had ever known.
Mary disappeared and no one knew where she had gone.

Her twenty first birthday, people came to celebrate.
They couldn't find Mary and they were all in a state.
They looked in her bedroom and her bed was in place.
But her new mirror was gone and there was no trace.

Speculations were that Mary longed to live in a future day.
Maybe even travel through space in the sun's ray.
But wherever Mary went that mirror's there too.
And maybe someday it will bring her back when her traveling's through!

Clear As Day

When I met your beautiful soul,
it was clear as day
That you were meant for me,
I saw it no other way
When I persisted and you relented,
and gave me a first date
I knew from that day forward,
it would end no other way
When I groomed you to be my bride,
you were in blooming resignation
But you kept all your reservations inside,
and showed only joy and elation
Whereas, I had no doubts that day
When I said I do ... then kissed you,
your eyes opened wide, and you knew
in an instant
It became clear to you,
so very clear to you
Clear as a ringing wedding bell,
that I pursued you across time,
to meet you at this future day today ...
This showed you how deep my love for you would always be,
it revealed to you how my love for you flows endlessly
You now knew how much my love for you shines radiantly,
as bright as a sun swept day
Such a fine, clear day ...
we were always destined
to begin our life together this way
Us being able to see so far
into each other's heart,
on such a beautiful clear day

The Tongue
Written: by Miracle Man
January 21, 2021

Has power to influence, good or bad,
not always creating feelings of rad.

Idle threats, we've intended as token,
bite us later, they can’t be unspoken.

Often, with harsh language, others we rape,
technology won't let one slip escape,

By guarding our tongue in each thing we say,
we'll not rue that moment some future day.

It betrays the intentions of each heart,
this tiny member is a huge mouth part.

James ch 3: 2 & 5
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
5 even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

Redundancy

I had a little job once
it kept us all alive,
although we had some awful bills
just trying to survive.

Was not a life of luxury
I didn't earn a lot,
but we survived quite happily
and knew that some could not.

Then one day came the dreaded news,
“your jobs no longer there,”
I'm sure you know its for the best,
you see, "we really care!".

If we don't sack just half of you
there'll be no jobs for us,
so take this money, go away,
try not to make a fuss.

The package paid off all our bills
and now we're left with nought,
except a mortgage and two kids
plus several things we bought.

I'll get another job I said
I try both night and day,
but until then we must survive
on my wife's part-time pay.

And so we battle onwards
now accustomed to our plight,
I'm sure this winter of despair
must turn to summer’s light.

If you're contented in your work
and coping now quite fine
be ready if some future day
your job expires; .....like mine.

Premium Member Me the Fool

Innermost visions beckoning
That their would be a future day of reckoning
In their souls I felt their fear
As these mothers held their children dear
Hiding from what was near
I could not grasp
Why I could feel their pain
A image so frightening
My days became harder to maintain
I Knew it was my task...
Who could I ask...
I put it on paper
An prayed to my Maker
Why give me this tool
Me the fool
I offer to you
My love which is true
And
~Morning Dew~
My Lord....
Lead my way ... Bless my day....

Premium Member The Poor Little Black Girl

She sits on a street corner with a teardrop in her eye
Wishing she were in the cars of the people driving by
Her mother left with some john about two months ago
The man with the eviction notice didn’t care she had no place else to go

She carries in her small backpack everything she owns
The coming of the winter colds is in the winds that have blown
The bed she made on a City Park bench can comfort her no more
Her absences in the public school do not entice anyone to go looking for …

… the poor little black girl that nobody cares about

She has potential deep inside of her buried beneath the hunger pains
But nobody in this busy world recognizes what there is to gain
She is doing everything she possibly can to stop from turning tricks
But the only thing her mother taught her was how to hide the bruises from her kicks

The Styrofoam cup she holds out to strangers hasn’t collected any coin
People just leave her looks of disgust as if she is at fault for being forlorn
Shadows cast by the high-rise buildings grow longer with the setting sun
As commuters begin their journeys home she stands up in front of everyone …

… and the poor little black girl lets out a booming shout

“I don’t do this because I want to; being abandoned was not my choice;
I tried quietly to ask for help – but today I will use my voice
I turned thirteen years old today – the anniversary of another girl’s mistake
Is it too much to ask for, just once, a piece of cake?”

 “You can pretend that I don’t exist; you can pretend that you’re better than me;
You can long for that future day when I am no longer here for you to see;
You can hate me and fear me and just turn your head the other way;
But you will see me again, sitting by our Father to hear your excuses come judgment day”

Businessmen and businesswomen stopped for just a minute
They looked around at one another not sure of the message or how to spin it
Then continued towards their taxis, subways, ferries and their cars
She stood alone after the sun went down beneath the twinkling stars …

It is up to you, now, to determine how this story turns out

Premium Member Farmer Father's Words To Beloved Son

Farmer Father's Words To Beloved Son
(LECTURE, WISDOM, PRAYER PASSED ON)

Hold your horse my son, lets pull in tandem
united is better than single and random
You feed the mules, I will sharpen the plow
later you may rest, while I start milking the cow

With that done, we feed the chickens and pigs
then you carry dirt away as my shovel digs
Next we rest and have our noonday dinner
morn was great, we shall make afternoon a winner

Supper will call, come and enjoy a meal
thus we can know true, how fantastic life can feel
Day done, with pride we can hold our heads high
before we sleep, pray our Lord our souls should we die

Dawn comes, rise to enjoy its great blessing
say another prayer before we start dressing
Back to work well before the first cock crows
this my son, is farmer's life everybody knows

Cherish time together for life will end
know my deep love and know I am your best friend
Hold that thought in true faith, the live long day
all we say and do, we must some future day pay

You are best fruit of our family tree
this family's love and our farm-work sets us free
You feed the mules, I will sharpen the plow
later you may rest, while I start milking the cow

Note: I was born and raised on a farm. I am keenly aware of its positives and its negatives..
Much can be said about both, but I know this, the hard work, long hours and
low pay(if any?), did not kill me and certainly taught me responsibility and to be a better man when making my own way in this dark and cruel world..

Pisces, The Fish, Living Waters

Swimming in cool blue waters so deep
rainbow fish , so pretty the stars weep
Oceans filled with great hope and pride
on celestial waves greatness takes a ride

Constellations shining brightly to see
lights glowing in the past and future be
A sign to speed life on it's merry way
guiding our spirits into a future day

Neptune stands his mighty waters so well
holding back the monsters from deepest hell
Comets bring in the joy of desperate relief
washing away anguished pains of epic grief

In a bright galaxy so very far, far away
Seas of life exist, love and sweetly play

Premium Member Go Away

No precipitation the weatherman said
but the snow is falling on my head.
Shoveling , clearing, its still here.
I wonder if the sky will ever be clear.

The snowplow comes by to clear the road
and in front of my car leaves a big, icy load.
Shovel some more, so I can get out
to drive on the ice, slip sliding about.

The nicely dug out spot I left in my wake
is an open invitation for another to take.
Home again, dig out a new spot
(since the other one now, someone else has got).

Winter, I hate you, please go away
and don't bother coming back on some future day.
I hate the cold and I hate the snow
and I really can't wait for this winter to go.

Global warming where are you now.
Melt this snow and take a bow.
A warmer climate would be welcome here
but this is just the start of winter I fear.

Premium Member Peace

In Sixty nine, I was eight years old
With no idea, how life would unfold
That pretty young girl, who caught my eye
She had a peace sign, tattooed on her thigh

My parents place was called the Coffee Cup
She was their waitress, I was just a pup
I was intrigued, by her lovely blonde hair
With that Peace sign, I kept looking there

I couldn't get her picture, out of my head
I drew a big peace sign, over my bed
My peaceful dreaming, her lovely blue eyes
Hoping she'd choose me, above other guys

I found the courage, to express my love
She was more gentle, than a soft white dove
She said "Don't worry it will be okay,
you will find your true love, some future day."

When I see a peace sign, I have to smile
I picture that girl, with her lovely style
My very first crush, she awoke my heart
A special memory, a pretty good start

Premium Member My Recurring Dream

For years I’ve sadly known of one who dislikes me—
A member of my family, whom I do love.
No matter how I’ve tried—solution not to be,
My fervent prayers unanswered by dear God above.

Except I’m granted a recurring dream, so real,
Whereby the two of us are friends and get along,
And in my dream, I thank dear God that my appeal
Was heard whereby he helped to make our kinship strong.

This haunting dream recurred for many hopeless years,
And still, invades and stirs my sleep at present time.
In it, my heart accepts apology with tears—
Rejoicing, we embrace and kiss in scene sublime.

What disappointment when I stir and then awake
And realize once more it was this same old dream—
My morning seems less bright, my heart forlorn with ache;
If only this were true, not sleep’s nocturnal scheme.

However, I do feel that God sends me this gift
As his firm sign of things to come some future day.
My hope is strong, my heart wanting to mend this rift,
And make my dream come true—take this heartache away.
