Best Frontage Poems
I dwell in a high-rise apartment dwelling
That faces a gigantic air travel bureau building.
A bureau building with a mega mirrorred front,
thus its frontage a gigantic jumbo-sized mirror.
In the twilight hours of violet dusk or dawn,
the entire huge apartment flats
reflected on its mirrorred walls.
One can see the reflections
of the whole neighbourhood
All the faces peeping in from their windows
All the people hanging around
on their balconies and terrace
And if doors are left ajar
whatever is going on inside
their flats reflected indiscriminately
on the travel agency's massive mirrors as well!
It is quite a sight to see
esp for idle peeking, prying eyes.
Folks thus have to be conscientious
about their doings in full view...
But at midnight if you chance to wake up,
the giant mirrors reflect a spectacular sight!
The moon on a moonlit night
or starry heavens as
diamond specks of light!
Thus a huge patch of heaven
itself reflected upon it
Novas, supernovas, nebulas,
ooh, the shooting stars in God's Galaxy
all reflected magnificiently
upon the mirrorred walls!!
Fine shine, O' giant mirror, mirror
literally on the wall
But I'd rather you don't reflect
my unveiled form at all.
For I prefer being the invisible
belle of the hall....
Today might be "that day"
When playing the victim
Might have to end
You need to face the challenge
Head on
Hiding behind the frontage of 'I can't'
Uttering the words 'I am not ready'
Won’t always work
Somehow you need to try again
Somehow you need to want to move on
You need to want to go beyond yesterday's mistake
Placing yourself out there again
Will bring a different view
Will open you to other possibilities
Then the ones your mind's
Awakening is showing to you
Do not stare blindly at your situation
Temporary halt
Does not define
Ultimate destination

Young as just a week,
He was wrapped in a flannel.
His tender feet were shoeless -
Today was his appointed time;
His feet must dialogue with gods.
The frontage was kind
To the pews and table.
The priest stood before the gods,
His grey hairs vouched for his age.
He opened the dishes one by each
And accredited their celestial contents.
Then he lifted the dish of water
And splashed the water on the ground -
The gods must drink before the man-
He filled the baby's mouth with drops:
Today you have quenched the gods' thirst,
May the gods reward you with comfort.
Drink the water of life and live.
....and the people said,'' aseee''*
He stepped the baby's feet on the ground
Where exactly he poured the water:
You have poured cold water on your path,
Step on every soil unburned,
walk in the coolness of gods.
... aseee
Then the next and the next :
A bit of fish, a bit of rat;
These are what we eat to grow,
Today I fill your mouth with them,
Eat and grow in life.
...aseee.
... And the next three:
Salt, honey and sugar -
The sweeteners of life border no bitterness;
The gods feed you with sweeteners today,
Dwell in the sweetness of life.
....aseee.
And alligator pepper;
He dropped some seeds on the ground
And put a seed in the baby's mouth:
The day alligator pepper built its house,
It filled it with seeds;go with its potency
And fill your house with fruit of womb.
....aseee.
Then the red-oil -
He poured some on the ground
And fed the baby with drops:
Oil is the antidote to the hotness of pepper,
I cover you today with its potency;
Go and triumph upon every challenge.
...aseee.
Go and triumph upon every challenge,
Fill your house with fruit of womb,
Dwell in the sweetness of life,
Eat and grow in life,
Walk in the coolness of gods,
Drink the water of life and live.
Aseee.
aseee* means 'so be it''
I tapped into my messages; the gas
company wanted a piece of me, and
my ex wanted to know when the
month’s alimony would be arriving.
But it was the last message which
caught my attention the most; Big Foot,
the wrestler, wanted to meet me for
lunch the following day, at The Big Burger,
on east 14th street at noon.
Who was I to turn him down? A 50 caliber
showman with a WWA win list as long as
your arm, and a five million dollar contract,
with a major west coast TV station.
I cleared my appointments for late morning
and early afternoon, the following day, and
laid out my jeans and WWA T-shirt and a couple
of indigestion tabs, with BF’s appetite in mind.
It was about 11.45am, when I drove up to the
Big Burger’s orange and purple frontage and
past the helium-filled, giant airborne, polythene
burger, floating forty feet up in the clear blue,
summer sky.
The place was quiet, a few truckers and an old
couple, talking and munching their burgers and
fries, off their plastic, melamine plates.
The air conditioning was welcome; the sweat
slowly froze, then disappeared from the middle
of my chest: but it was a news report which
caught my attention, on the overhead TV.
“Bigfoot announces retirement and unveils plan
to open shelter for bigfoot families and abused
bigfoot wives in Alaskan wilderness.”
Then the main door swung open and he walked in with
the biggest grin I had ever seen, and approached my table,
all seven feet of him, took my hand and shook it.
”Well kid, it’s all go from here,” he said, thumbing at the TV.
“I’m giving you across the board publishing and screen writing rights.
I‘ve never forgotten how you helped me, get where I am today,
partner.”
I closed my eyes and mumbled inside, “Thank you God.” And we ate
our burgers, he ate five, and spent the next two hours making plans for,
“The Return of Bigfoot to the Wild”

Katrina Waves
Draws her strength internally
Boasting strong hosed waves ashore
Headed inland she sweeps all asunder
Vanishing in a breath’s count
‘Frontage’ lays flattened now
Waved ‘kaput’!Katrina
Drawing her core strength
Boasting strong hosed waves ashore
Head inland she sweeps all asunder
Vanishing in a breath’s count
‘Frontage’ lays flattened
Waves ‘kaput’!
Building a House on Sand
By Elton Camp
Alabama has some frontage on the Gulf Coast
Where the risk of storm damage is the most
People with money will build right on the beach
Instead of where a hurricane isn’t likely to reach
Then for all of us, house insurance rates will rise
Because they have acted so foolishly unwise
We live way up north, a long way from the shore
But due to those dolts we are forced to pay more
I’d also enjoy having a beach and ocean front view
But don’t as it’s a totally irresponsible thing to do
On such construction there should be a total ban
Or else let insurance rates there rise as they can
Now, when a hurricane comes and blows them away
At our expense rebuild so it can happen another day
Life insurance to a skydiver might rightly be denied
To some houses, that same principle should be applied
Maybe for existing construction exception can be made
But building new houses on the sand should be forbade
A beach dweller reading this may scream and curse
I don’t care as I’m tired of your reaching into our purse
February 28 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Joshua 7-9
Key Verse – Joshua 7:13 Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you..
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY SANCTIFIER
Lord God, You are my Sanctifier against accursed trespass and unholiness
Thank You for forgiving my confessed conscience-smiting filthiness
As I repent from neglecting Your warning for unrighteousness…
Deliver me from corruption-destructiveness.
Lord God, You are my Sanctifier against backsliding
Thank You for correcting my wayward environ-treading
As I learn from Your Word, gaining biblical understanding…
Drive me toward prayer altar-building.
Lord God, You are my Sanctifier against sin-spoilage
Thank You for purging my self-inflicted trouble-bondage
As I come to You for freedom-flight, surpassing temptation-frontage…
Draw me away from covetousness-rampage.
Lord God, You are my Sanctifier against pursuit for vanity
Thank You for hindering my ascent to secularism-liberty
As I avoid craving for materialistic security…
Direct me to Your will of spirituality by Your reigning authority.
Lord God, You are my Sanctifier against pride’s destruction
Thank You for guarding my heart from arrogance-caused isolation
As I participate in the fulfillment of Your great commission…
Deter me along paths of haughtiness’ curse-abomination.
Lord God, You are my Sanctifier against false religion’s insight
Thank You for admonishing me to conquer pull of humanistic flight
As I journey upward stewardship-servanthood height…
Deal with me according to Your counsel delight.
Lord God, You are my Sanctifier against murmuring’s grievance
Thank You for reminding my oath of vow-perseverance
As I overcome tendency to succumb toward troubles’ disturbance…
Discipline me from engaging in carnal encumbrance.

A Well Balanced Beer
A well-balanced beer may cost this gal dearly
It’s a cabaret act the tax guys said clearly
They caught her “act” in a bar late one night
And the way she poured beer they said was “all right!”
She would balance a glass, sometimes 3, sometimes 4
Right there on her frontage and then she would pour
They said it’s an act, she said it’s my job
It brings in the tips from the beer drinking slobs
They took her to court, they said she should pay
Over 44 thousand and she said “no way”
She knew the law, she had been there before
For indecent dress and a little bit more
When the judge threw the case it was greeted with cheers
For they too had enjoyed a couple of beers
The clad ivy charms, warms the walls,
The frontage that welcomes the fold and their outsiders,
Specifying age and strength of delicate beauty,
Which accounts for that non-existent love:
History sides with them, is by their shoes,
Shows no retrogressive signs or playbacks,
For the aestheticism in which they pray and hear,
To live purely and submit to god’s will.
Massive old stones consummate the building,
Mark the sentinels of theology and doctrine,
The concept of god masoned out unchangeable,
Resistant to space and time:
Indestructible by humankind,
Unbreakable and long-lasting,
Toughened by independent and culinary monks,
Near to their hearts quandaries, contemplations;
Their pontifications ring true, bold and sold,
As the solid building structure imposes itself on nature’s garden.
Freelance lawns embrace the abbey,
Set the monks with their own position,
To roam, regenerate, prune and prime,
Sing within the vastness betrothed.
Still they go on in routine and consecration,
Chants, strings and accords of beauty,
Unwilling to journey out with themselves,
Steadfast by blinkers on life’s dynamics and rhyme.
Does god exist here as effectual,
Or is it not just the building and its surroundings?
Setting the seal on their mind thoughts,
Enabling that peace of mind,
Exemplary of that security:
That supreme veto of homelessness and weathering,
Absolute with promise of brotherly abode,
Proficient in giving freedom to make living and home,
As the construction would never make your life for you,
Against your free will, your right and personal pride,
Always proffering your dexterous gestures and movements.
GOD's SPECIAL LOVE
During mix up of this recipe
My ink freeze carrying a fragile
Destiny.
Sending songs of hanger to
My Lord,
I need to be part of this conventional
list for all His special Love,
Father Benjamin Franklin and
Pa Da Vinci,
Nelson Mandela the political
Dealer,
Leaders I search for resembles.
You know Islam sees Unity
Rusicrusian is purity
Christianity loves vigils to preach
Virginity, all of the spirit being.
Good Lord fix me among this
Victims,
Tagged into victory.
I pay every thanksgiving, am
Aware this amounts to nothing,
As an ordinary pilgrim
Immortal soul that believes in
Evenings.
Combating for wisdom with
Maximum understanding,
Discipline is the seed I lick before
Sleep,
Good Lord descend every special
Love upon my living
I will serve man to forever remember
You my Great King
Owner of every meaning.
My sick brain begins to drain
Energy enriched with pain will
Only cut my vain,
I sit and pray, painting the Mon alisa's
Frame,
To rearrange any artistic page,
Electricity isn't a mistake, as I fear
The dark,
Meaning man will permanently fail.
Freedom is wilder than age,
This a free lane created by no name.
Good Lord rise me above the hills
Make me run underneath the sea
I need the clouds to clean my feet,
Let my heavens be for real and
Sickness should be dumped in a bin.
Good Lord lead me to the class of
The Most High,
Where Angles sing in Your Frontage
I need to see your Tongue and sliver
Taste.
Good Lord I post this on Monday
Evening
By Tuesday You would receive,
Please open and read, these are not
Wishes neither are they dreams
These is me hurting to win.

Plate Glass
The plate glass frontage of the hotel
offers a sea of indigo and ink
to the full moon
to float her wavering disc
of opal and milk.
Now tower is dark,
now spire is silver-sword-sharp,
now pearl is dome:
Valletta in black and white,
Malta in monochrome.
Margaret Clerici
from "Glass:Glimpses of Malta"
... And the bride came out
With a velvet wafting above her head
At her mother’s feet she knelt ,
She looked at her face and wept :
Mother : daughter of massive rock
In frontage of the envious ;
They wake up and can not headbutt it.
Today I will leave to join my groom
Bless me that I shall multiply
With the fruits of the womb.
Your love and teachings I will not forget;
You taught me godliness and cleanliness
You lavish your love on me and call me jewel;
Today I will marry my love , my man;
Pray for me that I will not meet trouble
In my next place of abode.
Oh mother , sweet mother
How can I forget my source ?
How can I forget you mama ?
In the year measles reigned
And thousands of my mates
Left for the place beyond,
It was you that salvaged me.
When knowledge was in sky
You disposed all for my sake;
The year vampire attacked me
Continuously I cried out from my sleep,
It was you that fought ; running helter skelter;
Oh mama, if I had not drunk you would not,
If I had not eaten , mama you would not either
But today I must leave to build my home
Bless me that in love I will dwell.
How do I say farewell ?
How I wish I could say no
And stay glued to your caring hands
Where all my errors count not at all
But marry I must mama , pray form me
That poverty shall not be my portion.
The hour has come
When mama and daughter must part
Though I leave now in body
I leave behind for you my soul ;
Wherever this union will take me
I promise you mama , I will not,
No , I will not forget the child
Of who I am.

My Persona
Today I built myself a Persona,
My Identity has become a façade,
I thought it was time I had one,
Concealment shouldn’t be too hard.
It’s a kind of portico, facia or frontage,
A cover-up or clever disguise.
Smoke screened by veneered pretence,
You won’t see what’s in front of your eyes.
One day a semi colon met a comma under a bridge. So to speak is to shroud and to silence is to say. State nothing. And there is no saliva in a dust bowl. Stake not a steak. And in a paragraph dance with the suffix. It is imperative to peel prawn correctly when prawn has a capital letter. And dignified digging is done. Great. Draining doing diving dredging dogsleds. And the curvature of a letter b. Wow. Sanctimonious c and a large d frontage. Deepen not the ideological wisdom of a wind in a glass tea cup. Xxxxx vaporisation version. Xxxx clap. It's going to be another hot Amarillo day, but as I emerge from my car, the morning is still only warm with a gentle breeze blowing. I quickly cross the frontage road and head down the packed earth path. In the distance, I can see my destination, ten Cadillacs with hoods buried and tails sticking out of the ground. The last time I had seen Cadillac Ranch the cars were shiny and recognizable. Now, they are merely metal shells with their insides worn away, spray painted a gallery of colors. Hoping to add my touch to these masterpieces, I am disappointed to find the cars are surrounded by a pool of soggy clay mud, sure to adhere me to the ground as securely as the cars if I step in it. So, grabbing a purple spray can, I add my initial to the alternative works of art on the packed dirt, a small part of myself left behind until man and the elements wear it away, too.
