Best Frolicking Poems
It is good to be a fool once in a while,
What an extraordinary feeling to be a fool!
To know nothing,
To know everything,
Yet not convincing your heart—The most brilliant buffoon,
Letting your heart float like a boat
Without an anchor
In the middle of a lake illuminated by the half moon that looks like a piece fallen from something ethereal,
Vision yourself in that boat, dear reader,
Doing nothing but just letting that moon’s love
Lurk on your lips
While you yearn earnestly
With your eyes closed like the petals of a timid lotus,
I encourage you to be a fool with me.
The river of reverie might reduce the roughness of abrasive reality of existence,
The vastness,
The long blank whiteness of life—
The 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s
Of age are indeed agitating,
Colorless at times,
There are rainbows too,
But mostly it's white, serene and quite like a pearl or a marble.
Some people ensnare their hearts,
They think heart is some petty prisoner,
But when the boon of life comes to an end
The truth hits them in the chest
And the chains ensnaring the heart
Come gushing down with a roar like a waterfall,
Sudden and loud.
Chained hearts often become hoarse hazards,
Chained and always chasing,
But chasing what
You never know.
Heart is a bird,
A brave one
Like all birds,
But let me remind you something, dear reader,
Do you ever notice the birds looking at the sky and singing soft melodies,
The melodies they don't sing when they are soaring high in the sky?
Birds need a bower too to rest and rejuvenate,
They don't have to adorn an armour on their chiselled chest all the time,
It's just not natural,
It doesn't seem right,
So take my hand and come be a fool with me
Or just be a bird and fly freely.
Your soul is nesting your heart,
Let down the gloomy guard,
Nurture the nest
And give it a rest.

Both beautiful bright butterflies and bees
Fluttering over flourishing flower fields
In sustaining space and symmetric ease
All the gentle joys a wonderland yields
Fluttering over flourishing flower fields
My persistent sounds are softly heard
All the gentle joys a wonderland yields
As a calico kitten, I meow and purr
My persistent sounds are softly heard
Rolling and frolicking on God’s earth
As a calico kitten, I meow and purr
Slipping and falling over plants and dirt
Rolling and frolicking on God’s earth
In sustaining space and symmetric ease
Slipping and falling over plants and dirt
Both beautiful bright butterflies and bees

SERPENTS’ TAIL POETRY – LAMBS FROLICKING
LAMBS FROLICKING
Lambs frolicking in the meadow,
learning adult skills, never
picking up on the farmers true
wills, the slaughterhouse,
Louse, ticks, all manner of tiny
beasties, the drench, the paddle,
the farmer knows what he’s doing,
the ewes not given any clues.
Ewes live a full life, not knowing
what is hiding around the corner,
until that day they’ll play, follower
the leader, a game one day they’ll rue
True for some, they will not know
that that lorry will take them
to the market where they will be sold
for meat, for their lambs same plans.
Lambs, now segregated, rams are moved
On, new pastures their destination,
If lucky, those that are left behind,
The ones you see now, are those
Lambs frolicking in the meadow.
This was written as a Serpent's Tail and does end as one, but instead of the next line starting with the last word of the line above I somehow got it into my head it was the next stanza, hey ho.

Friendly goats are holding me hostage today.
They are hop-dancing in my yard; they want to play!
I looked out at 6:30, I said, “no way!”
“Come on!” shouted the big brown one, “We plan to stay.”
Watched them frolic and skip, they made me smile.
I guess I could go out for a little while.
Husband did not know, picked up phone to dial,
Announced they would be picked up with some guile.
Yes, I had to move fast. Time was running out.
My soul entranced, I pranced and hopped, I skipped about.
Was the best day of my life, without a doubt
“Goat Services are here!” My husband, inside, did shout.
The goat herders came out and took us all away.
We were all crammed inside a wagon, blue and gray.
We sang “Red River Valley” as they took us away.
My husband came to claim me at the end of the day.
It was the best day so far I have ever had.
When I went back home I was truly quite sad.
I sneaked back later and the goats were all glad.
I took them home, making my husband a tiny mad.

The horses are playing in the field
Their cadenced hoof beats pound the earth
Running and bucking and kicking their heels
Frolicking in the pasture below
I love to watch them as they play
Such power behind their dainty movements
Grace that their size shouldn’t possess
Tossing their manes to and fro
Prancing now with noses turned high
Tails blowing in the wind
Then snorting and spinning to run the way they came
Making a fuss at nothing at all
Just being silly cause they’re feeling good
Rain on the horizon makes them that way
It’s blowing this way now, but still they play
Without a care in the world, Free!
~My parents horses were all playing in their field
yesterday-They are truly amazing to watch!~

Four fluffy fat frolicking friendly bumble bees
On a mission to make music for mice to make them sneeze.
Liked the idea of stealing off with their flowers and cheese.
Without having to be polite, use manners, or even say please.

The children are jumping in the leaves
Last Autumn frolics before the cold
They’ve rolled up their long sleeves,
Overheated, they are sweaty, I’m told
Covered with leaves, brown and gold.
The coming rain will create a soggy pile
No longer suitable for fun and game
Children will prefer to dance with style,
Indoors, until they are tired and lame,
Preferring to watch the fireplace aflame.

Frolicking friendly fricken floppy fish
Splashed with contentment in his glass bowl dish
It’s time to make a wish, make a wish, make a wish
Said faerie godmother of this cute little fish
I have more than enough, the fricken floppy fish said.
I am happy with my home, this coral reef is my bed
You must make a wish, the faerie godmother insisted.
Ignoring excuses and feelings that showed he resisted.
I am totally happy, he said, I have this, that and the other
Surely you can think of something said his nasty stepmother
If you could turn her into a statue, it would be nice.
With a wave of a wand, the godmother did, without thinking twice.
And so, his almost perfect life was even better now.
He swims all day in peace, and sometimes takes a bow.
His father is happier these days too.
His wife had been kind of a nasty old shrew.
