Best Flight Attendant Poems
She rides on a sailing ship high in the skies
embracing creation of her wandering star
cheerfully greeting her guests.
Some pleasant and chatty,
some on occasion she may ask,
“Please don’t fall over me.”
Hawaii is where her heart lies;
and island of poetry that inspires her soul,
of orange sunset against sublime radiant blue.
She strolls up and down the tan beach,
enjoying the feel of warm grains of sand between her toes,
breathing in the whole innocence of beauty
as tears of joy blend in with the cool briny sea.
A place of timeless harmony
her peace of heaven

A tribute to Connie Marcum Wong
Her poems are inspiring
This was a comment written by a friend; I know is if a fight breaks out on a plane and I'm your flight attendant please don't fall on me during your altercation ??
The sky shone gaunt gold
on the lip of the storm
before the anvil shaped clouds advanced
upon the burning margins of the world
Like a dream
the thunder rolled away
leaving cotton candy swirls
before a spreading dawn
Gentle white horse clouds appeared
pulling pastel chariots
bearing angels -
rainbows, tinted on their snowy wings
Down they plunged
gilt-edged, into a pit of pure white
popcorn clouds
Feeling God-like before
the breakfast service
I watched delicate washes of pale lavender
mist into daylight.
Dedicated to Connie Marcum Wong who worked as a flight attendant for many years.

Talk about a frightful flight
I think it was last Thursday night
I was heading out of town for work
Our flight attendant went berserk
Instead of the normal spiel they gave
This lady starts to rant and rave
Her own airline she really trashes
Screams about bad luck and crashes
No, it was not the friendly patter
She came across as a Mad Hatter
The other crewmen try to stop her
Eventually we had to hop her
Hold her down, call 911
This all before the flight’s begun
We had to taxi to a gate
As on the local cops we wait
Something had snapped, she couldn’t hack it
They took her off in a straight jacket
They took our numbers, took our names
Loaded us on other planes
No explanation of what just happen
Perhaps recruiters once were nappin’
All in all I now surmise
Unfriendly fly the friendly skies

The flight attendant asked;
"Can anyone fly a plane?"
She received no reply,
Her search was in vane!
The cockpit was empty,
The pilots couldn't be found.
Those left on the plane,
Were making a terrible sound!
The more they searched,
Their fear began to grow.
They noticed more empty seats,
"Where did those people go?"
The passengers couldn't believe it.
"Where can these people be?"
"Please help us God,"
Was their fearful plea!
Down the plane went,
Bursting into a fire ball.
No one was left,
The crash consumed all!
Just where will you be,
When it's your time to die?
Will you be with Satan,
And wondering why?
You can be with God,
Asking Jesus into your heart!
Confess you sin to Him,
Then from Him never depart!

As the flight attendant made the accouncement that this plane is going down
I took one last look at him
Not knowing it be the last time I see him again
My feet froze to the ground
but in my mind
I want to get up and run run run
but where where where
I look up to the celling and look out the window for the last time
I turn and looked at him in his eyes and told him I love you
and if either one us don't make it
don't you grieve
don't you die
don't fall apart because I'am not near your side
I held his hand tight as we went down down down
I felt the loud crash as the plane hit the ocean floor
I closed my eyes
I felt my life fading away
I blacked out
My hand slipped out of my partner hand
I try to gasp for air but nothing
water filled my lungs
I knew this was it
My life flash in front of my face
things you see before you walked into the light
I was hoping the hand of God would catch me and my man before the final breath
But if it's time to go
Then it's time to go

Today I boarded an aeroplane for the very first time
but things didn't go too well...
As I stepped into the entrance
I stumbled , I tripped and I fell,
as I crashed to the floor,
it made an almighty sound,
when I looked up
there were faces staring from all around.
More embarrassed I could not have been,
with my legs akimbo,
all must've seen.
there I laid in a heap in the middle of the aisle,
must've only been a minute or two
but it felt like quite a while.
The more I struggled to get up,
the more embarrassed I became,
I finally made it to my seat
and could have died from all the shame.
The flight attendant came over and whispered ...
" Are you alright "?
She handed me a Brandy and said " Relax and enjoy the flight ".
Before I knew it,
I had knocked back the drink...
So I ordered more,
quicker than you could blink.
The booze wasn't helping,
so I took the Drs Pill,
I'd got for good measure.
because it was then that I freaked out,
thinking that we'd lost cabin pressure.
Then I swear I saw a creature jumping around on the wing
but that was due to me nodding off
remembering a film that I had seen.
When the pilot finally announced
we were coming into land,
I got that excited ,
I grabbed the person next to me's hand.
I dont think I'll ever fly again,
especially on my own,
instead I'll watch travel shows
from the safety of my home.
I fly JetBlue for their snacks, TV's
And lots and lots of flights.
Doritos is my favorite snack,
Providing yummy bites.
The flight attendant just revealed
That, in this airline venue,
These Nacho Cheese delights
Will soon be taken off the menu.
Though Cheez-its will replace them
(Both have Cheese within their name),
Every snacker would agree that they
Are nowhere near the same.
To the top execs of JetBlue -
Word of mouth might cause a break
For your loyal Frequent Fliers
Might just switch for your mistake.
Do not sacrifice our Nachos
Thinking it could help our health.
If we start to fly United,
It just might affect your wealth!
I always wonder at the folks
Who do not follow rules,
Who violate the status quo,
Think followers are fools.
A traffic light that’s red? Who cares?
No motorbikes allowed?
Let’s speed along where people walk
And blast our music LOUD!
A flight attendant wanting me
To sit here with a mask?
I’ll knock her teeth out; maybe then
She’ll be afraid to ask.
A bicycle chained up outside?
The owner’s not around,
So I can take it for myself
And show off what I’ve found.
The list can just go on and on;
This stuff just isn’t right,
Yet more and more we’re powerless
To stand our ground and fight.
When rules are made and put in place,
What used to be expected
Was that they would be followed
And not nastily rejected.
I love to see the children and the youths going to school
In their uniforms looking so smart and cool
Shirts and blouses all tucked in
Pants, bags, socks and the shoes matching
Hair combed and hair styled, these really enhance the love that is here for you
I really love to see the children and the youths going to school
When the children rise according to the school rules
Parents, please make sure they have a nutritious breakfast too; this will prevent
them from thinking about food, and focus more in and on the classroom
It’s amazing to see the slim, fat and chubby children and youths going to school
looking so sharp and smooth
I just love to see the children and the youths going to school
As for you children who pull the mini suitcases be careful how you drive your
vehicles going to school make sure you have your books, spare pens and pencils
too; don’t for get your tools.
Education depends on reading, studying, and comprehending
There goes a flight attendant! - “You really remind me of one of them, fi true”
I love to see the children and the youths going to school
Don’t waste you time idling when you’re at school but master the golden rules
Be literate, not illiterate
Write legibly, not illegibly
Become eligible, not ineligible
Obey your teachers; look out for the bad friends and company they can let you lose
your goal
I really love to see the children and the youths going to school
They’re such a blessing, “tech a prips!!”
Look how sweet they are going to school
Now, I am sorry, I have to start all over because I used to hide from some
classrooms
I just love to see the children and the youths going to school
Elbows need to be carefully packed.
I squeeze together organs
filling only a certain delineated area.
The flight attendant approaches,
tries to ignore me
I have some preliminary questions,
"Can I be slipped into a less edgy wedge?
Could my mind be more swiftly amputated?
Is it possible to be shuffled laterally
until I intrude less and match more?
Will my MP3 player attract killer geese,
or interfere with heat seeking drones.
Will you stamp my papers as D.O.A. now
to save time?"
She smiles.
"Sir, will you please stop blinking,
you're making the other cargo nervous."
Two skinny legs dangle from hand-me-down frocks.
Elastic bands holding up her socks.
Scuffed shoes upon her feet, so small they barely fit.
Water leaks through the crack where the sole had split.
Her wheat coloured hair is pulled away from her face.
Tied back in a pony tail with a crimson lace.
Blush full lips hide a row of crooked teeth.
They are always on show when she opens her mouth to speak.
Dancing in front of the mirror, singing out loud.
She visualizes herself performing in front of a cheering crowd.
She imagined herself beautiful, her face on every magazine.
Adored by millions as they watch her perform on the screen.
Believing in her dreams, she knew she would go far.
How determined she was to become a star.
Living out her fantasy, living out her dreams.
Is her world a better place now, things are not what they seem.
Now sitting on a flight from Paris to Milan, dressed in chiffon with a beautiful tan. Immaculate makeup graces her face. Smart and elegant, not a hair out of place. The flight attendant fusses around her as she flies first class.
Always on hand with champagne to fill her glass. Men flock round her like moths to a flame. They don’t really see her, they just want the fame.
She pushes her way through the crowd, a sea of faces calling her name.
Her freedom she has sacrificed, for the price of fame.
Money cars and diamond rings she understands now, they are just things.
Living out her fantasy, living out her dreams.
Is her world a better place now? Things are not what they seem
She realizes as a child she was rich all along, singing into the mirror to her favourite song. A home filled with love is riches beyond compare, familiar voices of laughter filling the air.
Living out her fantasy, living out her dreams.
Is her world a better place now? Things are not what they seem.
Living in her past is her only escape.
The fame machine has taken over and sealed her fate.
A furor surely was ignited
When somebody from United
Made a bad decision
With a most unpleasant end.
A carrier with dog inside
(The flight attendant notified)
Was placed with luggage which
The family couldn’t comprehend.
The overhead compartment where
Kokito languished had no air
And so he barked, expecting
That he soon would be unpenned.
The owners begged, to no avail.
Kokito’s cries did not prevail
And soon the family learned they’d lost
Their sweet and loyal friend.
United gets a new black eye
And not a soul should wonder why
Of all the airlines, this is one
I would not recommend.
Elbows must be packed more carefully.
I catch the eye of a flight attendant.
Some preliminary questions…
"Miss can I be slipped into a less edgy wedge?
She frowns, resenting perhaps my ‘miss’
should have said ‘mam’…damn.
I carry on babbling –
“Could my mind be more swiftly amputated?
Is it possible to be shuffled laterally
until I intrude less and match more?”
Now she is throwing daggers of hate towards me.
Are the engines honking like killer geese?
Will dinner come as an intravenous drip?
Is that kid vomiting back there?
Her dislike of my questions
is as palpable as a cudgel to the head.
“Miss I can’t see; my eyes are too near the seatback.
Will you stamp my papers D.O.A. now
to save time?"
My voice through the triple layered mask
sounds like a hyperactive zombie.
She smiles robotically.
"Sir, will you please stop blinking,
you're making the other cargo nervous."
who is that strange pilot? Why is he not in the cockpit?
Naomi tried to stifle her six-year-old son’s shrill voice
although psychic herself, she did not broadcast it in ‘72
he keeps fading away, Tommy said. what is happening?
an older woman in the next seat smiled at mother and son.
Naomi wondered if this was a premonition
eastern flight 401 had gone down in the Everglades two months ago
a hundred and one people had lost their lives
seventy-five survivors had back, neck, leg, spine injuries.
were they on a flight to nowhere? She patted her son’s hand.
the ghost sightings had begun
on flights of LockleedL-1011-1 Tristars with salvaged parts
parts retrieved from the Everglades, after the crash
Naomi and Tommy were on one of these flights
Naomi’s husband Bud and his friend Ray had been frog-gigging
they saw the crash as it happened
began shuffling people out
saved all of the people who had been saved
the spirit of a flight attendant came to Naomi
your husband is a hero, she said
we will make sure you reach your destination safely
Naomi felt reassured, her spirit guides were never wrong ..
eastern airlines warned their employees to stop spreading rumors
there are no ghosts from the 401, they were told
you will be fired if you spread these tales
but they did remove all 401’s salvaged parts from the other planes.
