Premium Member When Day and Night Greet Each Other

Remnants owlish wisdom wafts through nighttime’s purple sky.
Fox settles down with her kits, against a nurturing oak stump.
Meadow and forest perform their nightly slumbering rituals.
Vigilant deer mama is resting in a bed of fescue next to her fawn.
Fireflies blink sheer happiness, laughing in Morse code.
Owl’s successive tri hoots are followed by coyote’s excited yips.
Forest and meadow slowly close their eyes, under the bright stars.
The day relinquishes her responsibilities to night, gladly.
It is a magical time when day and night greet each other, happily.

A Moment In Time

A glistening cobweb, on an old timber gate

Rainbows reside in each drop of morns dew.

Thin strands of white mist in the sun dissipate

A scurrying mouse, weaving through the fescue.

Black and white offspring of a paradise duck

Fronds of a fern beckon new life in their curl

Bees seeking sweetness into bright blooms do tuck

While a gecko peeks out and departs in a twirl.

Rata flowers explode with vibrant red lines

While fantails flush insects with spirited style.

Tangles of foliage making balanced designs

Stopping and watching this instant worthwhile.

Gone the hustle and bustle of rushing around

Enjoying the pleasure of simple wonders to see.

Never invisible these sights that are drowned

Yet infrequently treasured by both you and me.

Teaching a Young Lover

The first time witnessing the twain mountain peaks,
High above the echoes of our heart beat,
Erected I stood, in awe I stare, with eyes devouring nature’s beautiful souvenir.

Below the Twin crags fingers softly stroll along a sweat drenched path.
Inch by inch digits artfully tread around a shallow furrow.
Racing heart beats are like the wings of a thousand sparrows.
Down in yonder valley two fingers gently creep.
Skin shivers on the mound where the fescue freely grows.

Along the cleft, in the distal knoll, a tributary streams.
Near the wet land is a cave, a place of fertile dreams.
Desire drives daring digits to dive deeper into the warm unknown.

Tell me lover, tell me more about the birds and the bees.
How did the stork bring mother a girl like me?
Every time you’re next to me, what is it that I feel?

Blazing like a fire is this tension in my blood.
Enthralled me with your touch
Engulf me in your love.
Serinade me with these words: "I love you, oh so much."

I Promise

A far away flash splits the sky
Howler rouses a gentle sigh
Fury taps lightly at the door
“I promise,” says Howler, “My breath stands at war.”

Birds flying high, fish swimming free
Flee to your homes, school to deep sea
Soar singing loud, dart without care
“I promise,” says Howler, “My breath plays unfair.”

Creatures on land, man working strong
Take heed, my wrath shows before long
Animals frisk, man wipes his sweat
“I promise,” says Howler, “My breath deals a threat.”

Wavy bluegrass, towering trees
Hunker down quick, take cover please
Fescue search far, tall willows gaze
“I promise,” says Howler, “My breath sparks a blaze.”

Billowing clouds, dark as a scowl
Howler’s deep moans turn to a growl
Angels cry loud, pouring down rain
“I promise,” says Howler, “My breath goes insane.”

Birds sweep away, ocean pure power
Man hides below, animals cower
Fescue bends down, tall willows weep
“I warned you,” howls Howler, “My promises I keep.”

Jaded Valentine

Roses were glazed red
My fertile heart to woo
Cankering jealousy did spread
Bright petals now jaundiced hue

Violets were silted blue
Noble ambitions to thread
Blossoms with intemperate juices did stew
Now mildewed petals cloak our shallow bed

Tulips were glossed yellow
My cerebral chords to cue
Anon, savory tips did mellow
Now stale cortex in dark milieu

Carnations were flossy white
My purer instincts to hew
Your waxed petioles lusty suitors did invite
Now browning leaves on tendered stems accrue

Now barren soul rimmed by bland fescue
Heart heavy from chilling night's dew
No garlands around glib psyche to strew
Only drab, dense weeds to bid me adieu

Premium Member In the Grass

What’s in the grass and what do I know?
There are creepy and freaky things below.

All sorts of insects and crawly creatures
are among grass’ most fearsome features.

I wonder what else is in the grass,
seeds and stems in a crevasse?

They sprout and spread en masse
creating a soft sinking morass.

I believe there are secrets we’ll never see
perhaps some magic that’s in its esprit.

Maybe a fairy goddess or two
to order the chaos amid the fescue.

Who directs traffic so there’s no collision?
Who wields the power for that decision?

What and when do they celebrate?
There must be one they adulate.

Whatever is there I leave to that realm.
I won’t interfere or overwhelm.

I’ll welcome fresh grass in the spring
and wonder more, at what it may bring.

A Float With Memories

While afloat with memories of you, I recalled the beauty of your soul, the smell of your soap scented skin.

While afloat with memories of you, my mind is impregnable of how the hem of your patched calico dress swept the dust from your worn-out shoes.

While afloat with memories of you, I could see the way the sunlight gently touches your skin, baking your already brown hue.

While afloat with memories of you, I can see the kink of your premature gray tresses in clear view.

While afloat with memories of you, I fondly relive the moments of your callous hands warmly and gently caressing my waiting cheeks, and brushing back my tight curls from my face.

While afloat with memories of you, I know that these warm memories in my heart hold a resting place.

While Afloat with memories of you, in the mid-afternoon darkness fell over me, and vividly in the darkness I see the secrets of your unfinished years.

During this what seems to be an eternal measurement of time, I saw my father in his destructive brutality deplete you.

During this what seems to be an eternal measurement of time, I heard your pleas and screams that pierced the southern sky and stirred the tall green fescue.

It was not the first time that this darkness enfolded me.
It is not the first time that I felt the burning in my nose, ringing in my ears and the clamorous pounding against my encephalon.

Not wanting to belong anymore to this wretched darkness, the noon daylight filtered through, yet I know that this familiar painful memory will be forever an impingement and will forever remain strong.

An Unlively Very Stiff Upper Lip Masquerade

An Unlively Very Stiff (upper Lip) Masquerade
(any resemblance between averred one laid

regarding unnamed person liberated

Americana Panarama

Americana Panorama
Land of the free
Home of the brave
From sea to shining sea
In between golden waves

From the fields farmers plant
Across the vast Mid-West
In this Americana Panorama

Northern cities touching sky
Scrapers lighting up the night
As the Carolina shore
Echos back the oceans roar

Along the Texas plains
Where freedom loves to sing
In this Americana Panorama

With the Grand Canyons openness
To Alaska's wilderness
The mountains majesty
Powerful in its reach

In all the time that's spent
There's no other way to live
In this Americana Panorama

The colorful blue fescue
On a Kentucky afternoon
Under a Live Oak tree
With Spanish moss as company

To the California sunset
Being the last thing said

Heaven's Servant - Grasses

Heaven’s Servant

The grass of the earth The King of Heaven generously gave
People to enjoy Kentucky Bluegrass nice lawn, nutritious hay,
Timothy grass highly cultivated and seed easily harvested
Stock cattle, sheep, and horses healthily eat by day in sun’s ray.

Long ago Yeshûa? sat 5,000 men, besides women and children,
     on grassy comfortable ground
Enjoying bread with fish on perhaps Buffalo grass ‘Bulbilis’
     or Festuca sheep’s fescue,
Maybe Velvet grass growing in coast regions carpeted the banquet of
     truth lovers;
Or was it Orchard grass adapted to drier soils The LORD of the vineyard
     gave rescue.

The lion shall eat straw like the ox; will it be young and tender
     ‘Hordeum’ Squirrel-tail grass?
Perhaps the lion will like the 15 foot or higher Reed grass to jump and pounce,
Meadow Fescue grass could be the lucky one to grow green
for the king of the jungle,
Teosinte tropical plant related to corn ‘maize’ may be the one
     relished every ounce.

“And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass,” and this is nice
Ornamental grasses grace beautiful gardens, striped variety of Reed,
Bamboo Ribbon grass and Ravenna grass of Italy graceful show,
Pampas grass of the Argentine pampas, ornamental grasses give the lead.

Coastal grasses grow comfortable in sand, ‘Ammophila’ beach grass
     sand-binding,
Canadian Bluegrass sand binder pasture grass on sandy loam soils, holds tight
Shore grasses warm the hearts of beach combers looking at marram,
Beachside craggy bait shop enjoys uneven beach grass, as a kite
     flies in beautiful height.

Job’s tears ornamental grass shows remembrance of Job long ago,
Beauty now radiates from Coix lachrymal-jobi inspiring life enduring living,
Alive cheerfully Uniola exceedingly graceful most beautiful of the grasses,
Zizania wild rice grass most striking in appearance happy in giving.

Vanilla grass Savastana odorata sweet grass fragrant mats and boxes
Wonderful to smell and hold useful for storing wheat to save for vanilla cake,
Various grasses grow for our sake, millet, Redtop, Bermuda, Avena,
Johnson grass, Italian Rye grass, and many more grasses, a beautiful world left in its wake.

Rendezvous

Pass the field of red clover
Down the hill sown in fescue
Hides a winding, lazy brook mother
Protecting her young aquatic few

The tall paper birch shades and hides my lover
The lover's tryst, passionate desires coo
Pass the field of red clover
Down the hill sown in fescue

Come away with me, stay with me, lover
Your loves bright light to my rescue
Joys caress like a kitten's mew
Reminiscing bliss; my eternal love and I hover
Past the field of red clover.

Premium Member Havner Farm

Havner Farm in the Hamptons was the prettiest one I had seen.
Black and white cows were picture perfect; with photographic faces.
The baby chicks were as yellow and fluffy fresh as the noonday sun,
Havner Farm was worth painting and keeping for years to come.
The barn was painted in fresh barn red paint with sparkle white trim.

The grass was lush and thick, verdant green, like clover, but fescue.
There was one lone horse, a stallion named Bud with a sable coat.
Haymow. Check. Rakes. Check. Hoes. Check. Shovel and pail. Check.
Everything you would expect to see was at Havner Farm, it was gorgeous.

Shoot Nothing Like Killing Spree To Bookend August 2019

Shoot! Nothing like killing spree to bookend August 2019!

The latest homicide,
where gunman(men) slew
dirty deed done dirt cheap
half dozen innocent people drew
minimal horrific gasps, now a new
month (September two
thousand nineteen)

where goldenrods yellow
with morning dew
encompassing human zoo
welcomes unsuspecting killer(s) true
to form - predictably
will undertake to fire bullet(s)
setting calibrating counting queue

as month nine allows brisk business
bereaved will final adieu,
whether gentile nor Jew,
perhaps including
child named Caillou
instantaneously slain, who
knew

not what felled them
engrossed amidst social ballyhoo
ex post facto registering grievous hue
pallbearers accentuating somber view
eclipsing most recent prior massacres
similar to previous you
ululations yesterday's sorrows

without handy dandy blue's clue
motive explaining
cold blooded slaughter
unsurprising discovery
firearms Jane/ John Q.
Public kept stashed loaded, deployed...
guns up the kazoo

cocked, gauged, primed...
for unleaded opportunity
to unleash barrage
invariable generating hullabaloo
to curb bloody violence
trumpeting predictable brew
ha ha alloyed against National

Rifle Association almighty
Republican supported lobbyist crew
versus increased uproar
protesters chorus nearly few
tile opposition pitted grand Poobah
despite alarming statistics shew
plus increasing fresh gravesites dug

amidst freshly mowed fescue
attesting to wanton shell shocked
headlines indiscriminate brew
tilly assaulting sensibilities
without rhyme nor reason
yet, yours truly doth boo
leave rampant hatred

directly linkedin to
"FAKE" commander in chief
whose rabid vitriol hue
man fountainhead few
ming and frothing
lathers up right wing supremacists
greenlighting smoldering new

bile radicals hot headed
volatile mindset whereby
self anointed anarchistic Guru
possibly fuels global warming
evidenced by displaced Eskimos
flooding courtesy melting igloo!
