Letter To Eminem

Dear Marshall, I'm writing this knowing you don't know who I am
You've heard it millions of times, You'd probably laugh and call me Stan
But growing up, your music prevented me from committing suicide
I just want to thank you cause your music saved my life

8 years old I heard you for the first time
Not going to lie I only liked it cause of the swearing
Too young to understand the genius way you made words rhyme
I already had a connection because I also had issues with my parents

The Eminem show was released when I was 10 and I got my hands on it
Played it at full volume, Had so much admiration for the man on it
Saying all the things I wasn't allowed and some I already related too
Cleaning out my closet helped me to make it through

Your words gave me strength to stand up to bullies and depression
Ignored my teacher and spent school days just quoting your lyrics in my lessons
Parents never picked up the phone to call me, instead they picked up harder liquor
I was moved around foster families, and you were my father figure

Walls covered in posters of you, Hood up with my middle finger up
All I needed was your music so I didn't want to be approachable
You showed me it's okay for guys to be angry, sad and emotional
People told me you say a lot of wrong things, but I said they obviously don't listen enough

It felt like you were writing about me in the third verse of sing for the moment
You taught me to stand up for myself and tell the world to bring on the opponent
I know care staff hated that I couldn't go a sentence without saying your name
But you have such a talent for portraying your pain

And most of what you talked about was relatable
I didn't care if the care staff didn't find It favourable
They couldn't see that your words were taking a lot of weight off this boys shoulders
You taught me to be a bigger man and to not fall down like a toy soldier

I know this is corny but your words and music saved my life
They helped me through depression and prevented me from committing suicide
If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be where I am
Thank you Eminem, Sincerely one of your biggest fans

King of the Jungle

There you sit...you patiently wait...
thinking of which animal you want to sate...

Observing a fine fox, who favourable flirts...
with sexy green eyes and the shortest of skirts.

She spots a wolf and scampers his way...
asking him coyly, "Do you want to play?"

A teasing Tigress arrives on the scene...
licking her lips like you are ice cream...

Throws off her furs and bares her teeth...
de***ishly dares you to make a leap...

She purrs softly, "Mount if you wish"...
encouraging you with a tantalizing kiss...

The energy pulsating, reaching new heights...
bodies heavenly entwined as they take flight...

After some time, they reluctantly descend...
exhausted, sated and ready again.

Our Troubles

Life is a continuous journey beset with troubles
So long we live in this universe,
Trouble becomes part and parcel of human experience
Life swings like a pendulum,
One moment swings towards favourable conditions;
That brings name,fame,gain,praises and merriment;
At another moment,unfavourable conditions curse,
Welcoming the loss,ill-fame,blame and pain

Panic no more!
Understand there are ways to clear sufferings,
None is hopelessly condemned to eternal misery,
Unless he himself allows it to be so.
Give away your realization to realise critically,
That all conditioned phenomenon like sufferings and troubles,
Arises not by the way of independent causes,
But it arises out of ones causes.

We can put an end to every form of sufferings,
It is by discovering the root causes of troubles
Do not disheartened by these futile miseries,
Instead act wisely in overcoming them,
No worldly-minded person are from suffering
There are no differences between wise and unwise,
But the manner in which he faces them differs.

Socrates, once faced his hot tempered wife's insults;
Defending her false accusation in a humorous way
Like Tagore prayed not to be shielded from dangers,
But to become fearless in facing it.
The great Buddha taught the world,
That sorrows are caused by our own actions,
And arise from our own ignorance.
Buddha showed how to remove sorrow,
But ourselves must work to gain happiness
Mind is the forerunner of all states
Mind is chief;mind-made are these states
Was what Buddha had preached to his followers.

Like prophet Muhammad accept faith as strength;
Adopting sorrow as a friend;
Using knowledge as a weapon;
And transforming patience as Garb and Virtue
Then the troubles will soon pass;
What had caused you to burst in tears today,
Will be forgotten tomorrow curving smiles on your face.

Do not let the past spoil your present happiness,
Whatever our troubles, however pressing they maybe,
Time will heal our wounds,
But besides leaving things to time,
It is ourselves to protect from hurting.
Maintain the peace in our mind
Don't allow people or troubles to drain energy away,
Since it is ourselves who creates our happiness not others.

When the Bubble Bursts

Buoyed over waves of elation
Marvel at favourable sights of creation

Prospect for attainment visible
Within glossy bastion, even trials seems agreeable

Mollusk of endearing devotion, grumbling for denied favours seem so easy
How progenitors of our existence purse their frustrations makes one feel lousy

Reeking of corrupted souls, makes tastebuds sour to elixir
Grafted as second skin blends to exude a new color

Aversion so easily discerned when everything awash
How chameleon spirit avulsed everything from one in a stroke of whiplash

Hooters perched on the demise of accrued inheritance
Consternation that needs to be shackled for their malefactor dance

When plunder acknowledged for their vantage
Stipends bequeathed as morsels to owner of the heritage

When the bubble finally bursts
Lesson that even if one's dominion life is not always just

Monitoring in anticipation stranger's and dear ones alike by holter
Affirms the old adage that blood is thicker than water

Life is a combination of different strata and classes
with the upper classes feeding on the states of the lower
which is the usual, displayed in most societies and cultures
and such a web between nations even more complex and sticky.
The developed massively profits on the developing
sustaining such a system for the affluent to stay powerful.

Pressing situations persist within their borders
but that of other nations becomes a meat and potatoe issue
while their greed stays a correspondent
to growing territories without a good sight.
They are obese hypocrites seeking for malnourished sycophants
promoting democracy but stabbing its legs in struggling communities
if propagation of governance isn’t favourable to their selfishness.

Merchandise and production from below becomes contraband
to tense such economies and make them perspire
even if a little consideration is reluctantly offered,
the controlled global markets will still sustain the toppers
feeding the climbers with crumbs to soften their bones.

Heavy makeup is the painting on their wealthy faces
to attract the scanty seedlings of the insufficient future cultivation of others
putting growth under a miasma of depression
to militate against economic and political independence.
Nevertheless, a stranger can only manipulate a home
if foolishly allowed to exhibit some level of command.
A major fertilizer to this trending cause
is laxity and mediocrity on the part of the sufferer
which has got so matronly to need meals on wheels

Woman of Valour

WOMAN OF VALOUR.
where art thou gracious woman.
Peaceful being, strength and beauty at your fingertips.
Adams fantasy, Eve's descendant.
A trophy you are, A queen like Esther.
A child of royal priesthood
You shall strut on a bed of roses.
God's grace and mercy at your favour.
Where art thou lady of comeliness.
The pulchritude favourable
Inner beauty lovable
Thou shall be better than before
An increase in your humanity
Woman of valour, an extraction from his rib you are.
Woman of valour, his helper you shall be
Building bonds greater than that of Ruth's and Naomi's
Proverbs 31:10 A woman of Noble character
Where art thou woman of the 31status
Where art thou women of valour
Past, present and future.
Where are you beings that nurture?
Blessed is you woman of the 31character
Blessed are you woman of valour.

Change

Do you know that giant of Africa yesterday?
That great and well-fed West African Elephant?
Whose offspring’s are pot-belly, lament-less and relieved?

Have you seen that giant of Africa today?
Whose leaky walls are infiltrated with turmoil and malevolence?
Yet couldn’t hear; couldn’t see and couldn’t say?

Have you seen a thespian Nigeria?
With over-blown inflationary rate
Uncontrolled exchange rate
And a despicable insecurity peril?

Wherefore is everything that was there before?
The favourable exchange rate
Manageable security and controlled price

And where is everyone?
The Obasanjo’s, the Jonathan’s and the Yar’adua’s of blessed memory

Whose hands of revulsion are we in?
Where nothing is something
Only hunger, malady, dearth and communal cleansing
With yesteryear better than the crinkled arms of tomorrow

See the boulevard, the drifters and the indigents
Permissible and impermissible whores
Imperceptible horror and terror
With rage in everyone’s smiling faces

When will CHANGE be ‘CHANGED?’
That which we bargained with our lives
Traded in sorrow and grief
And forsaken afterwards

Does CHANGE mean hunger, marginalization and communal cleansing?
Does it mean power outage and general price hike?
Who can CHANGE the CHANGE and
Not pick the pieces of discord.

Premium Member Grateful am I to You, Lord

Dear Lord, Almighty...
You be honoured for Your grace
enabling servant-heart attitude
emanating from submissive and grateful spirit
helping me to be the steward striving to do Your will
as You keep on drawing me nigh to Your heart
esteeming You above all else...

My God, thank You for showing
how long suffering* You are toward me
though I appear arrogant and unyielding…
Please constantly teach my heart
of humility’s virtue, righteously rewarding
as genuinely exemplified by Christ, the Saviour
Who yielded Himself sacrificially, with love so exceeding.
Thus, I seek Your meekness-grace drive;
help me bear --- for Your sake,
every act I perceive as condescending!

My Saviour, Your long suffering for me
highlights Your merciful compassion at work
notwithstanding my service that’s unacceptable…
Kindly correct my soul against prayerlessness
and faith’s increase-failure due to vanity-stumble
for me to progress in Your holy kingdom’s pursuit
making my servanthood fruitfully favourable.
Hence, I need Your power’s fortitude;
empower me --- to live for Your glory
as Your Spirit does move my being!

*Exodus 34:6 …The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.

A Litany Alittered With Alliterations

Fashioning the favourable foul,
Cutting the caustic cordial,
Rearing a rabid recall.

Pardon the potion
When blind and blundering
We fathom the favourable foul.

String along the slug
When casually and crazed
We concede the caustic cordial.

Split the sauce
When tardily and turbulently
We receive the rabid recall.

Behold the botheration of the booze!
Jilt the jitters of the jug,
Surrender the stress of the spirits.

Do this in the name
Of the bright, the blue
And the holy camera eye.
Amen.

Song of a Poor Man

When would the vegetables in my farmland grow?
Others have harvested theirs but mine is yet
To germinate after many month of impatient wait
Take the children away and share them among my brethren
I have no money to train them but I can impregnate women
As many times as they want it am a man
Here I would sit and would not journey to the mountains
My life is too precious to me to suffer in vain when others would work
And then I eat without laboring among them in the farm

Where are they going this early morning?
My legs have developed the mind of their own
I can’t risk taken that bold step of faith
My life would be better soon as I live
It is well with my soul at home.
Come fear and dwell in my abode
Come weakness and entangle my legs
I can’t take risk unnecessarily to the mountains
The governments are bad to the core
The economy is not favourable to me

How would I move forward when I am not like them?
They are better than me in every thing they do
The rich men had stolen all the money
Poor I am without bread to eat
Commoners are voiceless and I can’t express my self
I would remain here until I die in penury
Perhaps my potential shall be useful in the graveyard
What should I think of while I am poor?
I didn’t go to school, I won’t make it
My children shall build the houses in my compound
I am too old to work

Can I make it without a platform?
The governments are the rogues in the country
Why was I born without money and wealth?
Twenty four hours is too small for me to work
The lizards in my house are for decoration
I would sleep all day hustling don’t pay
Soon I would rule the country and steal their funds

Make the bed for me I want to sleep
Posterity would not count on me
Why should I work day and night when
They all sit at home and steal money with pen?
I won’t work but I shall be rich
Advice are meant for the fools

A Chance

God always offers us a chance
a chance to change our old ways
a chance to know him for all our days
a chance to give
a chance to take
a chance of forgiveness if we make a mistake
a chance of reconciliation a chance to be free
a chance of a life abundantly
a chance to truly live
a chance he is willing to give
a chance to be who you were chosen to be
a chance to know Gods word is true
a chance to know he will never give up on you. Amen

2 Corinthians 6:2
for he says in a favourable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you, behold now is the favourable time, behold now is the day of salvation

2 peter 3:9
the Lord is not slow to fulfil his promise as some count slowness, but is patient towards you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance

john 3:17
For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Amen

A Smile

A SMILE

A smile is an expression of happiness,
It is literally the opposite of a frown,
With one, your lips go up,
And the other, your lips drop down.

But it is much more than physiology,
It displays favourable emotions too,
And a smile seems to be contagious,
Chances are if I smile, so will you.

When you say someone is photogenic,
Their face usually has a smile,
If you take a picture of someone with a frown,
Framing that photo, certainly won’t be worthwhile.

When you hear something that is really funny,
That smile will transform into a laugh,
Now that’s going to be a Kodak Moment,
Time to get out the camera, and take a photograph.

There are so many things that can make you smile,
It could be watching small children play in a park,
Or it could be much more of a personal thing,
Like 2 lovers, making out in the dark.

A smile is a universal language,
It is understood by everyone,
It’s a silent form of communication,
Recognized by every culture under the sun.

There are always nations at each other’s throats,
The world has been in conflict all the while,
Maybe what this planet of ours needs,
Is for more of its people to smile.
