Best Family Hope Poems
To all of us
Who have lost someone
To all of us who have lost something
A void, emptiness
A feeling of the no more
And nevermore
To those of us
Who never got a chance
To say I love you
Or I’m sorry
Or I care
To those of us who thought
There would be a tomorrow
Or a next time
To those of us who wish for yesterday
To relay the feelings of today
I say this to you
Do not wait for tomorrow
For what can be said today
Do let pride steal your chance
Do not dream of what you want
Do not wait for anything
To confess what you want to say
Tick Tock
It’s a race against the clock
Time is nothing but a fuse that burns
Convey your thoughts to those you love
For otherwise an empty heart yearns
Empty and unsaid
Thoughts of love
Fall silent upon the ears of the dead
Think about it !

BEDROOM EYES
I think you think I’m thinking something I shouldn’t;
That somehow I’d put you in a compromise.
You know I must be thinking something indecent,
Because I looked at you too long with my bedroom eyes.
I admit to giving you the old ‘once-over’.
If you think I’m being rude, I apologize.
But I’m not on the hunt for a one-night lover,
In spite of what you think you saw in my bedroom eyes.
(Chorus)
But when I look in your eyes, I see something to hope for:
Children, then grandchildren . . . maybe longer even more.
So if I look at you too long, I hope you’ll empathize--
There’s more than just desire in my bedroom eyes.
If you could read my mind instead of my gaze,
I think by then that you’ll come to realize
That I’m thinking about you in terms of decades.
I want to look at you for years with bedroom eyes.
Confetti flutters the sky
A bride dressed in pearly white
Footprints pave bright virgin snow
Steps to her future
She is a loving mother,
her pain is like no other.
Kids taken all at once away.
A price too steep to have to pay.
Holds her head up high,
when all she wants to do is die.
She thinks her pain is masked,
but as you see, its no easy task.
She's strong and still fights,
even when they say she has no rights.
She dreams of seeing her kids,
trying hard to keep the pain hid.
She goes to court and really fights,
only to come home alone and cry at night.
Still, she continues this uphill battle.
Her confidence, they constantly rattle.
Goes to work and tries to smile,
as her heart is breaking all the while.
Wish I was a much better sister,
who called and let her know I missed her.
I had my own tumultuous issues,
it was she who really needed the tissues.
I just had a crappy, low life man.
By her side her family should stand.
Instead they all give her grief.
Do they not see her pain will never be brief?
No, they all say they are sorry, but they're full of lies.
Didn't they know it was her LIFE in demise?
A better sister, I'll try to be.
Her back she never turned to me.
I hope she knows she's loved and cared for.
Her smile I'd like to see more.
I know that's no easy task.
But that I will still ask.
As they push her to the brink,
She's stronger than she ever thinks.
A combined effort for Kristy.....
when life’s path
was wide and long
our dreams and goals
were one and strong
we got engaged
and then we wed
and opened doors
that lay ahead
and when rules changed
in life’s great game
we changed our ways
but stayed the same
we ran down hills
and trudged up sands
to grasp the new world
in our hands
we brought a child up
to expect
those things in life
that we respect
we basked in fun
and swam through tears
and won and lost
between the years
all
these lines
upon this
page
tell of
times
and
tell
of
age
yet love's stayed strong
the whole way through
beyond that young land
we once knew.
So many trials seem to be filled up with so much fear
So many ask, “Oh Dear Lord, what am I doing here”?
So many questions that I have come to know
If we just plant a seed, with water it will grow
I have a natural green thumb that now is wasting away
Along with a mind that does love to go out and play
Times I still ask, “How did this all came to be”
What was it that my wife was able to see in me?
She says that my heart was the most beautiful around
It still blows me away, for I clearly remember the sound
Her voice was so soft, her tone was so sweet
I was nothing less than pure evil upon two feet
Had been years since anything had took me by surprise
Ice cold is what the rest of the world had seen in my eyes
I looked at her smiled and laughed in my cold convict way
She smiled and said, “Why you want to be mean anyway”
I told her, “I reckon we are all born to just what we are”
She said, “So why are you a dope cook instead of a star”
That question stopped me right there dead in my tracks
I thought, “This girl is a looker but God she is whacked”
Last night her and I sat out underneath the moon
Two very blessed souls swinging in our sliver spoon
Just a little swing we built together out in our back yard
Place to just sit back and rest after a day long and hard
I once again ask her, how in the world could you ever know?
“My Grandmother was preacher, I could see her in you soul”
Which led me to speak out my truth for I learned to not lie
"My grandmother was also in yours, answering the entire “Why”
Grandmothers we respected and held above all others
Brought each of us together in the land born of lovers
Two Grandmother Spirits full of pure heavenly delight
Led their grandchildren into the valley born of the light
Now here we sit holding each other, each other high above
Because we share in the blessing of our Grandmothers love
----------------------------------------------------------------
Toni and I had lost our Grandmothers before we had ever met
though I knew of hers because she was a very powerful lady
and a down home speak in tongues Pentecostal Preacher that
had great respect up in these parts. After all these years we
confided in each other that we could see our grandmothers in
each others eyes. Thank you and God Bless, MJ
It came into existence from the breath of God
Just look at animals, people, trees, and look at a bird
The blind will begin to see
People in bondage of sin is now free
The famine will be fed with loaves of bread and fish
A hospice child is granted and receives a wish
People with cerebral palsy will walk
A Chinese man with a speech impediment will suddenly talk
A New York fireman is in a burning building walks out untouched
On a movie set a stunt woman does an amazing and impossible stunt
A very racist white man get saved in a all black church
An illiterate and homeless man gets saved and a hour later get hired to work
A man rushed to hospital in trauma flat lines awake and yells for wife
A young mother addicted to drugs become clean and gives Jesus her life
Everyone these people can be a witness and be a disciple
That heaven rains miracles
John 1:16, 17 From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after
another. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Emerging from sleep dream temerity,
his remote aurora spectral prisms
from which his wakefulness gives legerity,
from which surfaces new burgeoning aphorisms.
Truth’s contours arrayed in fluid fluency,
his morning ataraxia in the still water lake
from where his senses lose their truancy,
from where ideation sheds the opaque.
He finds repose in a moment's seclusion,
his lucid cortex in reflective possibility,
but he learns his real confirmation in inclusion,
and learns our fellowship best protects our fragility.
So quickly we imbrute each other with walls,
he knows how militarization is summoned by anxiety,
he weeps at the endless requiem protocols,
he grieves at history’s long cruel impropriety.
But he detects his promise in human need,
our struggle against forces of dehumanization,
our commission in communitarian creed,
our hope in human family realization.

Another child lay dying in his mother's arms,
She holds him to her- weeping hopelessly;
There will be no ambulance coming, no alarm,
And this scene plays out each day endlessly.
She holds him to her- weeping hopelessly,
The writing is on the wall for the starving;
And this scene plays out each day endlessly,
We give to charity because of ads appealing.
The writing is on the wall for the starving,
Thumbs up we say, we are saving the world;
We give to charity because of ads appealing,
The money given- into the wind it whirled.
Thumbs up we say, we are saving the world,
Somewhere over the rainbow plays in my head;
The money given- into the wind it whirled,
I pray this boy finds that blue bird when dead.
Somewhere over the rainbow plays in my head,
There will be no ambulance coming, no alarm;
I pray this boy finds that blue bird when dead,
Another child lay dying in his mother's arms.

First Place
Her writes are touching
They bring tears to your eyes
You can sense her fears
From the woman inside
Through the eyes of another
Saying " the time has come "
To begin the climb
Towards the sun
The other side
Under the moonlit sky
Suicide, feelings of
The questions, why?
Please forgive me
Today's the day
I'm finally free
No looking back for me, as I pray
It's now or never
Please remember me
My hidden thoughts
Will set me free
I have a dream
So far away
I believe it's time
Don't cry when you say
Goodbye
I wonder, I remember
Life is to short
On reflection
The above I abort
On the wings of an angel
I will travel one day
But until that time
This lost soul will stay
Dear Lord
Is there a heaven?
A little precious angel says
My family, love and faith
Will see me through my days
Having read a poets poems yesterday, i wrote this using the titles
to her sad, but heartfelt pieces

I went back into that dark, dark place
Were demons dwell
And
Lives are taken away
But
Through the pain
And
Through the tears
You were there and kept me near.
You saved my life by loving me;
Your silent strength was the key.
Gentle touches and silent words
Let me know that love was the cure.
Depression is my evil curse,
And
When it planted the seed of death
Your love washed it away
And
Gave me the strength
To seek the help I needed to keep it at bay.
I’ve walked that dark path so many times
I’ve done lost track,
But
Things have change
And God’s given me a special tool
To help me through,
I have you and Joshua too,
And
Rooted deeper is the knowledge
Both of you want me to stay a little longer.
So like a drug addict that has lost their way
I start the road back to brighter days,
And
There are not enough words to say
I Love You
In every way
And
May God bless us ever day.
In the northern heavens her essence so vivid
My constant seraphic star
Basking within her gloriousness warming
Cleaves to me from distances far
Guiding my pathway on night lit Earth
Keeping my course right and true
Holding back storms until I reach my safe haven
To witness the next dawn rise anew
Those nights when cover clouds her features
Her radiance rushes in on the winds
Blessing my journey seeing me home safely
Forgiving my ways absolving my sins
Morning starts breaking and my cherub starts fading
Past the horizon waters falling so deep
Awaiting the rising of her mettle so tender
Of that maternal star light unique.
He sits Alone, In the rising sun ; or is it a setting Moon?
With a birch bark Flute, a sadden Heart plays a very lonely tune
Go north, then west, says Chief Roaring Eagle, I’ll be with You soon
You can feel the tears of “Roaring Eagle” rolling down Your cheek
As he plays a forlorn melody ( of history ) his birch bark flute : sings bleak
For his Native American Ancestry : a Heritage where tribal Leaders “Speak”
Of Yesterdays, when canoes would travel the rivers, catching trout in the creek
In remembrance when Buffalo, Deer, roamed the plains, Salmon owned streams
When a Young Brave, became a man, Hunting in the Forest ; Alone with His dreams
Alone with the mysteries of Life with the voice of Forefathers’ forever heard screams
As the Flute sings to the barren forest of bygones,Chief Roaring Eagle’s Eye, Gleams
In Thanksgiving to the Almighty, the Song of Life , Continues to reassure the Living
The echoes of the birch bark flute reverberate through a dieing forest, ever Living
Go North, then West, to a new land where the Songbirds sing of LOVE: and Thrive
Where the melody of a birch bark Flute ; Sings to Nature we are now again “ ALIVE

"I WAS NOT BORN LIKE THIS BY CHOICE"
My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
My eyes enjoy all they see,
And on most days I am quite happy.
My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
My voice, although not quite loud,
Can always melt hearts in a crowd.
My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
Please don't judge me because I am unable,
I don't deserve that kind of label.
My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
My mom says it's part of Gods plans,
I believe her, we're His biggest fans!
Are your eyes your voice?
Were you born like that by choice?
Is your voice quiet or is it loud?
And can it be heard, or felt, in a crowd?
My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
Some people think I am broken,
But others say, no, just soft-spoken.
My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
My smiles and giggles are not misplaced,
They are there on my pretty face!
My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
I have feelings like all the rest,
I am me at my worst, and my very best.
My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
Researchers are searching at a steady pace,
Rett Syndrome cure is their race!
My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
Look into my voice, it's plain to see,
A cure is needed for my Rett sisters and me!

Sleepless nights that
I have had,the things
you've said has made
my heart sad.
Out of the blue, you
walk out the door,
telling me you'll
love me forever more.
Satan has desired to
sift you as wheat,
because of this, you
have become weak.
My Jesus has heard
my outpouring cry,
and this was His only reply.
Don't you worry,
and don't you fret,
keep your faith,I'm on
the scene, for I'm never late.
