    "A Near-Death Experience of A Sweetheart"

Floating through a corridor between two different Worlds
among white fluffy clouds and shimmering stars awhile wind unfurls
racing into darkness: destination to death's door
living in a heavenly kingdom ... forevermore ...

Traveling through deep tunnel as cold fingers touch
walls of blackened essence creating thoughts to clutch
quickly toward a bright white light of peace
my soul and spirit being experienced soft release ...

Rushing to a Paradise, landing on streets of gold
seeing the Face of God so clearly to behold
longing to embrace my dear departed family
loved ones who had gone before to their final destiny ...

Their captivating smiles excited my soul
sharing love once more as was in their earthly roll
but a huge white Angel stood between my track
he spoke mentally "child of God you must go back.

And yet, I was not sad but happy to have seen
my precious treasured relatives cuddled by Supreme Being
why? I questioned must I return to Planet Earth?
Angel responed not your time to stay
your purpose unfulfilled for God to cherish every day ...

Suddenly transported through the tunnel smelling flowers
a jorney taking minutes but feeling like hours
and soon the sights and sounds ignited quiet hospital room
while my loved ones endured possibility of doom ...

My husband was squeezing my hand so tight I felt his love
as my children sobbed so loud praying to above
my eyes opened wide as I inhaled a breath
escaping to my body while I avoided Death ...

This near-death experience was an inspiration
for another realm exists in utter fascination
for now the message lives to enjoy both love and life
have no fear for death is harmless and erases strife ...

Hover close to God and always give Him thankxxx
through trials and tribulations He relieves all angst
Treasure every moment and anticipate the end
a beutiful place is waiting reuniting family and friends ...

Kisses and hugs replaced those solitary tears
knowing what lies ahead extinguishes all fears
please celebrate the gift of life in grateful attitude
Eternity is awesome with unending interlude ...

Sure as spring-ebullient cedes to summer’s escapades
In vagaries of time a budding flower parches and fades
And the sweet sound of hatchlings abandons its nest
And autumn’s gilded leaves perish in throes of decay
And dethroned from its apex, sun-glorious as well sets.

Much alike nature, as life unleashes unsettling events
For some, its turbulence triggers hysterical blindness
And esteem that waxed to full-moon begins to wane
Akin to a sunny day that darkens and suddenly rains
Or flame of desires extinguishes in lovelorn marriage.

Purpose and meaning no longer wield a special clout
As soul of vigor confused harbors despondent doubt
And sense of self deteriorates into endless distraught
Till a beloved hand of compassion lovingly reaches out
Reconsolidating its ego, letting spent passions sprout;

Spurring momentous days, seizing thrilled moments,
Un-remembering yesterday, rejoicing bliss of present
Knowing tomorrow’s fate isn’t as assured as today’s,
Cognizant of transience and impermanence of being,
For now is real as can be, for tomorrow may be elusive.

Premium Member Eventide

I ask of the night why it slips into my bedroom and
extinguishes Earth's light,
He replied softly "I'm a jealous lover and my shade
of evening lies down beside you, as we bid the
augustness of the sun adieu."

I laugh and weep at the same time,
as I'm in love with the four season's soirees
he enchants my heart with.
Many years ago, walking slowly hand in hand
with my lifeguard lover on the sands of Fire Island,
I thought love's charms would last,
his fire with starlight, jewels of moonlight,
and kisses-
with summer's wane he faded into September's
wooing embrace.

Yet glorious eventide was always there,
and, as he filled my eyes with the swallow's flight,
he whispered breathlessly, "You are mine to keep."

The Monster's Soliloquy

I am not dreaming, certainly. .
Not even dreams of the purest happiness
Contain that of which makes up this precious being. . .
How softly she smiles at me….
Like the beautiful gypsy, La Esmeralda,
To the hideous hunchback Quasimodo,
Looking not on my face and frame with any ounce of fear nor fright—
But with wholesome love and compassion. .

She extinguishes all past hurt
With the gentle, fervent touch of those soft, small hands,
The determined gleam in her eyes of certainty, mercy and trust…..
A guardian in this icy world of hate and suspicion,
Whom melts this frozen heart with her words of skill and will!

I should almost wish to steal her away—
Yet any power or control that I have once possessed is lost in her good deeds
I cannot be tempted to hurt or wrong her any longer,
For she and she alone acknowledges my life with the stainless soul
Of justice and kindness!

She has restored my hope like the rays of the sun
Beating upon a warming ground once cold and rigid through many nights
She melts me like the ice of the mountain’s peak,
Which now pours such warm, gratifying tears,
Down the dangerous trails, to the humbling base…..

Sweet angel of relief…..
I will cling to you as I have nothing…..
I rely on you, for you are everything…….

Fire and Ice

If snowflakes set aflame the ground
They touch and wintry winds abet
The flames, would she and I this day
always remain deeply in love?
Yet snow is snow-it’s wet, it’s cold
Its frigid blanket lacks the warmth
That lover’s hearts depend and thrive;
It stifles, smothers all that grows
and extinguishes any fire.
Snow-flames are just a fantasy
An image conjured in my mind
But in my heart our love is true
In any world we two reside
inventible or otherwise.

The sunset tints the mountain's purple peaks,
painting frescos on alabaster snow.
And bleeding scarlet into trickling creeks,
Nature surpasses Michelangelo.

Shadows scurry to merge with silhouettes
as acrobatic bats hunt moths in flight.
And the night gets as quiet as it gets;
when darkness extinguishes the last light.

Ebony gets lit by a dimpled moon;
light pooling around it like liquid gold.
And glowing as bright as a gold doubloon,
it's a natural wonder to behold.

Crimson and cerise color carmine skies
as golden moonbeams buff the edge of night.
And trillions of stars materialize,
bejeweling; this incredible sight.

Realization & The World Religions

Christianity
Petro—Peter means stone
Jesus made a pun:
Upon this stone I build my church
Unto you I give the keys to the Kingdom
Hence Peter—The First Pope
Jesus “He is my Rock and Salvation”

Judaism
The Mitzvah—God blesses every good deed

The Buddha
sits under a bode tree,
Surrounded by swirling forces of greed,
temptation, and evil intent
Desires which are the source of all suffering
Through meditation he extinguishes these desires
like he would a fire
What remains is the pure,
ecstatic bliss of endless, inextinguishable love

Krishna’s Dance
represents the lifeforce constant change and flux
The vital, joyous force,
casting off our collective part of painful illusion,
and sweeping us ever onward in an endless, journey—Nirvana

Islam
Allah—The One and only God—Allah is good
Muslims worship the God of Noah, Abraham,
Moses, David and Jesus
Peace be upon them all.
However, it is certainly true that Jews,
Christians and Muslims
all have different concepts of
Almighty God

Realization
From my deepest self I reveal
an emotional rapture of the combined sacred oneness
Enamored in love is how I truly feel

note: Monotheistic religion starts at the core wherein one
God created the world and its people because He loved them!
Polytheistic religions also have love at their core.

Premium Member Grief

An all-encompassing shadow;
grief stalks you wherever you go.
And tucks you into bed at night
while invading your private dreams.
And you awake to nightmare screams;
alone with your thoughts, filled with fright.
Grief embraces sorrow and pain;
as teardrops burn like acid rain,
and darkness extinguishes light.
Beliefs can be offset by grief,
for faith offers little relief;
by praying that you'll be alright.

An all-encompassing shadow;
as grief wells, your tears start to flow.
And they won't stop; try as you might;
trickles of tears morph into streams.
And nothing is quite what it seems;
it's like falling from a great height.
Grief tends to overwhelm your brain
and just about drives you insane;
fueling feelings of twilight.
Within this state of disbelief
self-pity becomes your motif;
lamenting that life is finite.

When your heart is filled with sorrow,
nothing in life ever feels right;
for grief robs your life of gusto.

Premium Member A Gold Doubloon

As twilight's shifting shadows slowly merge,
dusk extinguishes all lingering light.
And a spray of twinkling stars lights the night;
when the blackness of space and night converge.

Indigo skies morph into ebony
as a dying sun bleeds on snow-capped rocks.
And time is tethered to inpatient clocks;
that pause to behold this transcendency.

A curtain of misty clouds starts to form,
obscuring mountains behind veils of white.
And darkness descends as eagles take flight
over a landscape; that night will transform.

Silence rebuffs the creatures of the dark;
scurrying from the light of the full moon.
And Luna rises like a gold doubloon;
above a gnarled oak tree with gilded bark.

Sustaining Secretive Solitudes

I put aside my heart where love betrays the nestled night,
And egotistical echoes fall short in their submissive stagger…
Sanctioned solitudes fill the antagonizing abrasive air,
As my eyes stare through the never-ending vapourific voids.

The essence of the love I held extinguishes upon existence,
Like a severed statuesque Idol I only feel the empty now…
My tangled tears run dry for I cannot wilfully weep,
Only the lachrymose rain supports me with solace.

Now stands before you the rigamortis ruins left to rot,
No sounds I hear, only entombments of a chambered heart…
No words I speak, enslaved by illusionary imbecilic love,
I am lost in the wandering wilderness of non-existence.

Humanly Sacrifice

Fireworks dance and flourish in the air
Like the pairs of lovers in the innocent sky
The nostalgic tune plays from the flute
Like the tormented smile of the little brave girl

When happiness and jolliness echos through town
When suddenly they vanish into vacuum in a BANG
Missing like the name of the little brave girl
What will the eagles do behind their wings?

Shirking from the absence of familiar tone
Reinviting the lover's dance to the night
Closing their eyes to sink into the tune
The eagles pack up their bags and leave
Departs their home and leave the present
Leaving that girl with a broken smile

When all the fests drown in the water
The audience shall open their ears in the silence
When all light extinguishes into thin air
The watchers shall open their eyes in the dark

Sacrificing the impossibles in our dream
The pairs of lovers in the innocent sky
The brave little girl with a tormented smile
It is the most humanly sacrifice one could make

Water beneath bridges is always made to move
below the penumbra of our blessed moon.
She flows freely through the mouth of its enclave
taking with her every notion of solidity;
I stand here firm as a rock watching her pour herself out
she slows my senses as she extinguishes my
burning thoughts, and makes me think of
Superman !

Life is the wick
in our vessel of clay
each day a gift
a mystery
no way to check
on our reserve of fuel
one day our light fades
without warning
extinguishes
in a one-time
disappearing act
we can only hope
we’ve made our impact
we’ve touched some lives
made contributions
worthy of this
precious gift called life

Premium Member In the grey shadow of voiceless days

In the grey shadow of voiceless days,
I, a dreamer laborer, a faceless specter,
Under the silent vault that never opens its eyes,
I weave my destiny in threads of black linen, hidden in the night.
With arms that bear the weight of worlds, I build walls,
I lose myself in labyrinths of silent echoes,
Stretching the distances between me and the fleeing dream,
Life, an unwritten poem, always beyond reach.
I need neither splendor nor shining thrones,
Only cold shadows accompany me on my journey through stone days,
Brothered with poverty, loneliness is my sole companion,
I seek not the sweetness of love, but the cold kiss of poetry.
What is my life? An enigma where the echo of questions is lost,
An endless string of days, a thirst unquenched,
A solitude that crosses aeons, an endless refrain,
In a world that doesn't even know my name.
I live like a monk among the pages of the world,
Writing my expectations in verses that flow
Like tears on the unjust face of time,
And my dreams, pale children, are the phantoms of hope.
My life, an altar where the flame never extinguishes,
My purpose, a lantern in the never-ending storm,
An oasis of peace in the tumult of the world, where steps do not echo,
And maybe, one day, a sign of salvation will appear.
A mystic order of pure souls,
That will light up the darkness with their poetry,
A choir of hearts sustaining the harmony of the cosmos,
In this stone temple, I live, I work, in silence.
Thus am I, the ascetic worker in his sanctuary,
Without glory, without echo, waiting for a day that may never come,
Yet my heart beats in the rhythm of an unwritten poem,
And from each beat, poetry is born, echoing in other hearts.
