Best Erasing Poems

Adhd

#pen
"ADHD"
In the still of the night,
my thoughts are racing
and need erasing.
All I have to do is use my pen,
then the art of writing begins,
the thoughts become silent.
Flowing words onto paper is reliant!
It helps me hide from ADHD for awhile,
It shows in my face with a sincere smile.

Erasing the Black

Twittering squeaks, the Swallow calls
Harboring inside these darkened walls
High in the loft, of the barn where she rests
Calling her mate to come back to the nest

Majestic beauty come to me once more
Together we'll spread our wings and soar
Singing our song with the rise of the sun
Perfect harmony between two loved ones

Memories of flights over fields of green
I was your knight, you were my queen
Flitting and fluttering we were in love
No longer swallows, we were now doves

Hearing his calls, her mate has come back
Her day's been brightened, erasing her black

Premium Member Erasing Old Footprints

Snow showers arrived from the darkened sky
Sometimes like rain, sometimes white flakes
Swirling freezing winds, whirling fallen leaves

From street to street and town to town they went
Shining grassy fields, crowning barren trees
Painting a winter scene, peaceful and serene

Then a new day came, with its own emissaries
Changing my landscape, erasing old footprints

Erasing Bad Mistakes

Have you ever wished you could erase a bad mistake from your past?
Something that you wish you could forget and move from really fast?
Nothing they have speak of or says lingers with any type of grace,
Yet you are stuck hearing it and it screaming in your face.

Typically their words surround nothing but cheating or lust,
Or eyes bulging forward at anything with an **** or bust,
When can we shut these people out of our decent world we want,
Instead they hover like some sort of scary spook and haunt.

Premium Member Erasing Her

Her memory is a breath of laughter
Caressing the night in layers of starlight
Dreams rising on the greenest pastures
Where sun and moon glimmer, winking
While gently comforting, shining
O’er a reflection of yesterday
When she knew life – before old age

Her memory erases the many years
Of silence where her photo delights
In grinning from edges of a dull frame,
eyes twinkling love beneath warm lashes lining emerald legends
Promises of kindness reminding that she was once young

Her heart has broken and been mended by time and God
Who knows her as she is inside - young there in her spirit
Where she shines proficiency
Experience slides across her cheeks
Dimming her eyes with silent tears

Her Spirit survives and thrives - With love that is alive inside
Where she tries to deny that time
Is slowly erasing her sparkle - still, she shines!

Erasing Racism

Racism lives in the souls of bitter ones…
Miserable ones disconnected
From the meaning of love and respect….
I’ve been called a white girl…
I’ve been called a wet back
They call me less
Than my meaningful definition…
Oh, did I mention I’m “Italian”?
Don’t judge me by my skin color
My accent or my “originiqueness”
I’m the same in God’s eyes
But “you” are what makes me different…
It bothers most but I’m lovin’ it
Creating ways to reach out to you globally…
Standing as one nation
We stand before you excepting
“the unexcepted”….one by one
No longer judgin’…
“calling all nationalities!”
We introduce to you….our blood
“the same blood you bleed”
Help us to evolve the meaning
Of erasing racism…… respectfully

Erasing Every Trace - Corrected Repost

This is what should have posted last night. Thank you for your understanding

Erasing every trace

“Star light, star bright,
The first star I see tonight;
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight”

The winter wind is cold
as I stand in the yard
staring up at a
the first star of the evening,
one we shared often

Gazing upon its light, wishing,
certain it shimmers for some,
those holding hands and dreaming
of a future as bright
as these icicle glistened heavens

Now though dimming, fading
with the universe
where possibilities once thrived
as if life were real
and not some fabled archer

When then the ground crumbles,
giving way beneath my feet,
frozen earth opens up,
swallowing me
into a deep abyss

And as the surface falls,
caving in, creating
a darkness like
I have never known before
I whisper, “thank you”

For soon spring will come,
and new grass will grow
over the disturbed land,
erasing every trace,
that I ever was

And I will know
beyond a shadow’s doubt
That my wish upon that first star tonight
was granted…

Good night Soupers

Note: The opening stanza is from the 19th-century English poem by Jane Taylor, "The Star".

The Erasing Poem

From today on I shall feel no regret , no remorse
And the love that I'm captivating should be killed from the source...
The love that in the veins should be stopped
And the drowned eyes won't allow another tear to be dropped...
I'll vanquish the penned fear and get released
That's how I'll guaranteed that my heart and soul shall live in peace...
I'll erase you from my memory , I'll erase you from my heart
Letting go the ghost of the past and get along with a new start...

Erasing the Brain

"Are you sure you want to go through with this
there's no turning back after I flip the switch"
I'm sure, I'd rather live without knowing who I am
than dying everyday knowing what happened...
It all happened one after another
it all happened like a plot in a book
but of all people, why did it have to happen to me
so before I erase my brain, I'll illustrate my pain once again
I once had a family, a home to go to
friends, a smile
but it all faded when in slumber my home caught fire
well so did I when I learned my father perished saving me
Should I be grateful, I should but not when I'm the oldest
of 3 and I'm only 9
The little ones, what am I supposed to tell them
that daddy isn't here, he's on vacation
that father isn't here, we have stay here in this shelter
all our misfortune befalls on the fault of me
so I sit here crumbling in guilt while mother falls ill
and my best friend since we were in diapers
gets hit by a car, no drunk driver at the wheel
just a father with harmful means
Now I'm 23, alone with 2 cats and a dog
without parents, picture a Father's day for me...
my siblings, they refuse to talk to me
and I say I don't care
but I shed tears for the lost smiles we used to share
the happiness that will never be repaired
Hey doc, throw the switch...while I pray I rid myself
of the guilty glitch I have in my life

Premium Member Erasing Memories

Of its own volition
the brain erases time,
to rearrange events,
or change truth;

an embarrassing moment,
a misspoken word,
cowardly act,
wrong decision,
missed opportunity,
or lost love.

If you could call back time,
you'd become a sieve,
and filter out
all the pain.

Erasing Memories

I thought my mind could bury you deep
And my heart would never know
But like a cancer you’re still there
Embedded, continuing to grow

I will forget the times we shared
The passion that was you
Block out the way you held me close
And the fire that would imbue

I will erase the memories
Remove what traces left
Eradicate all remaining thoughts
And put my love to rest

If I practice hard enough
I can pretend it wasn’t real
A dream that lasted way too long
A dream that I still feel

Erasing Doubt

ERASING DOUBT

I feel your love
Erasing all doubt~
How do you care
About even the small matters
Of my life
When you are God Most High?
I’m overcome
By your tender care~
You who would have
Taken your own son’s place
Selflessly you gave up
What you held most dear
Because I am to you
So dear

Erasing You

One look in your eyes and I felt like flying,
Boy, now you have me denying,
That you're gone,
We were wrong,
It was never gonna last forever.

It took me this long to feel okay again,
To forget about all the remember whens,
The happiness,
Feeling blessed,
Those days I felt everything was perfectly flawless.

Those words it's over, my heart screaming,
Every night I was dreaming
How it used to be,
Just you and me,
But you were right when you said we all have to move on.

I can't live this way loving you with my heart,
I knew you'd leave from the start,
But you promised,
And now I miss
The way you used to hold me and say you'd never let me go.

I've been trying to hold onto something that just
Isn't there anymore, the rust
Is setting in,
Peeling off my skin
And revealing grey chrome underneath.

Swirling clouds of mist rain down on me,
It's gotten so hard to breathe,
But you were cold,
So let goodbye unfold
And don't let me think about the way it used to be.

Premium Member Erasing Fear

Inner conflict manifests fear
Yet we still trauma bond with thought
In web of our making thus caught
How can our anguish disappear

No sooner we meld head with heart
Aligned with the love vibration
Each life breath, a celebration
Behold, demons of mind depart
