Best Enthralls Poems
A gypsy dance enthralls the stars
into a twirl of rustling hems
as women tap bare feet, guitars
lift twiddling notes of lore’s anthems
along a woodland’s lively fest,
where beaded hair glides in thrilled zest
to charm night’s hours...to romp away
till wagon drifts when morning strays.

for days he follows a man dressed in black eyes fathomless pools
I feel his yearning his hunger and I am smitten curious
dreading him yet he enthralls me to surrender-
confusion fear overwhelms me he is breathing oh desire
in his room whispering my name . . .
his voice a deep baritone demanding terrifying
those fathomless eyes look down at me I am lost I pull him close
he strokes my flowing raven hair his eyes cold as ice
daggers to my soul love(or hate) lust passion possession
he wants to control me and violently he crushes my ruby red lips
with a demanding kiss and then the kiss is beautiful
words evil he is need lust he says vile things
oh those dark fathomless eyes go away come back I love you
he wraps his arms around me we are spinning and swirling lost in love
for how long are we locked in that embrace it seems like days
then he stops his smile is mean and cruel he laughs
I am nothing without his kiss I am a love hostage held in chains
and when he turns away I weep for him and hate myself
dark this lust I MUST find the strength to leave
there is no sweetness this is WRONG lost as his fathomless eyes
must get away must find the courage to walk away leave leave
I hear the door close and quickly dress the rooms smell moldy
finding the door I turn the knob it is locked
and I am screaming . . .

Each midnight glow is like this fleeting stone
And I, although I cherish, cannot steal
Or thrust on shore to hold until it’s grown
Below the tides of eve that plunge shall reel.
I stand as each crest scoops into the deep
And vanishes like jeweled drops of breath
To lie with mother pearls I couldn’t keep
For tiny are hand stems to grip their depth.
So now and then I wish that I may dip
Into the twirling wavelets with my arms
And haul pink mollusks which slide from my grip;
For in their husks, the pearl of Orient charms.
If midnight enthralls me into her sea
Oh, gems I touch only in memory.

Colour of my Heart
Look to the rainbow as it paints the sky
Exquisite colors that are on display
For the heart does not question how or why
As the sun smiles to take away the grey
For my eyes are blind to the palettes hue
Rendering visions of life’s creation
Masterful pigments in a dancing spew
Filling my soul with calming elation
The artist enthralls as the colors spread
A mesmeric mosaic in the art
Such as humanity whose tears have shed
And hold a loving place within my heart
For all the colors that make up the Earth
An enchanting awake, time for rebirth.

Eventide’s splendorous motifs on blazing arc rise
Tinting golden horizon of glinting vermillion skies
Where setting sun inflames decaying gilded rays
As twilight glistens graying eve’s yellowing haze
And pewter winds rustle leaves, lilting meadows
Swaying hills of trees in rhythms of tilting shadows
Where bidding the day goodbye birds hastily fly
While enchanted in luminant sky people amble by
Reveling ebullience of nightfall glowing in moonlight
Dazzled by twinkles of stars lifting tenor of night
As nightingale’s love song enthralls nocturnal appeal
When orchestra plays above scintillating astral zeal
Quietude soon endows dreams of exuberant dawn
As the reign of moon and stars sparkles on and on
Till misty morn awakens to melodies of robin’s call
And sun rises again to walk the new day to nightfall

Deeper still the Woodland calls me
Further yet, she lures, enthralls me
Hapless I, with charms she hauls me
To her unknown hinterlands.
Up, I see the forest giants
Standing tall in self-reliance
Ancient, gnarled, in defiance
Weathering the winter's hands.
Down, I see leaves, fallen, floating
To which place, they are unknowing
In the streamlet's eddies flowing
Dancing to an ageless tune.
Further on, I gaze in wonder
As a river falls in thunder
Misting torrents cascade under
Slanting rays of afternoon.
Scattered rocks are graced with flowers
Breathing in perennial showers
On the brink of Nature's towers
Far above the bustling towns.
Never could an earthly City
Paint a picture half so pretty
Not could sing such lovely ditty
As the Woodland's captive sounds.
In my ear they whisper softly
Whistling bird and peaks so lofty
"Whither went, and for what sought ye
When ye left this tangled space?
For ye find here scenes of splendour
Vistas grande in awesome grandeur
Rugged views they be, or tender
Never could ye leave this place"
For to me she is appealing
I and she, both glances stealing
Lost in unknown depths of feeling
As I see her changing face.
Far from wild clamour ringing
I can hear the crickets singing
See the points of starlight gleaming.
Never would I leave this place.

Personification
She entertains fantasies
of unicorns and dragons.
And a curious spirit;
she oft thinks outside the box.
She is an illusionist;
famed for her vanishing act.
And breaking with tradition,
she chooses how she'll live life.
She weathers stormy outbursts,
resistant to lightning's flame.
And with nothing but a smile,
forms rainbows from drops of rain.
She questions the relevance
of just one reality.
And seeking enlightenment;
finds spirituality.
The truths forged within her heart,
test the mettle of your soul.
And seeds of hope germinate,
in the light of her aura.
An inquisitive soul, she
wears innocence as a shawl.
And enthralls complacent ears;
with her accent of wonder.

Golden Disks and Whale Clicks
mind song riffs
joining the back beat
nature clicks
timpani
drums of black thunder
percuss
then the sky opens
a luminous landing
off gasses from the heat shield
rainbow across a spectrum of light
Cam’s Glieseian tongue flew over the surface
of the audio generator
Voyager’s golden disk long gone now
transposes across a film of galactic plasma
the taste of whale and bird song they tongue
enthralls them—though they had no notion of
whales or birds
mind song cascade, scroll, behind the visitors opaque orbs
joining the back beat nature clicks woodpecker tunes
tympanic membranes shiver upon
retractable body hair
drums of black thunder roll
past helmetless crowns
percussing their brain stems
orgasmically
then the sky opens
Sol’s a black dwarf they are too late
but still the songs sang
Cam tongued the plasma film
once more then reentered interstellar
hibernation

Oh Luna, with enchantment in night sky…
You gaze down from above with silver eye.
I fondly view your phases night by night
Enjoying most when you are filled with light.
To find your bright reflection on the sea
Enthralls emotions deep inside of me.
Under your spell, you share in love’s sweet bliss,
I wonder who you will compel to kiss.
Let me roam the gardens in your soft light.
Romance me now as clouds obscure your sight.
Yes, every time your sphere is full or new
You cause desire or cause one to be blue.
So Luna do your best, my lover waits…
We’ll leave our love to you, and not the Fates.

Sonnet
The swell of cloudburst pours its showers;
gently tapping on night’s dewy aisle
while raindrops spill like pearly dots,
along a lush garden where ringlets flit.
O but that smile enthralls dusk’s approach,
upon her glow bridal buds enhance
as drizzles change hues in sky’s finery,
her gushes bearing gushes from corners of eyes.
A mellow dance of sleet frolics with the breeze
*while the rain kisses her cheeks her essence,*
this nearness which consumes wisp of air.

~The ONE who remains SILENT II~
Original Poem written: December 18, 2016
I've written it before, and I'll write it again...
~My own personal quote~
“The ONE who remains SILENT, speaks volumes with his words.”
I don't wish to know his name, it doesn't matter to me at all.
to be so compassionate and listen to the voices that go unheard,
the grace, skill and virtuosity he holds while his silence enthralls.
I'm not afraid to express my gratuitous
tidings and respect for the man who needs no name.
To be so graciously talented and expressive through his passion to write. A haiku or a free verse, it doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that his encouragement flies freely for many poets, and he creates a fellowship built upon righteousness and justice.
He believes in fellow poets and his constant positive feedback is valued by many.
He carries an inspirational flow to his poems,
a man so quiet, yet never goes unheard,
His inspiration keeps our focus growing,
“the ONE who remains SILENT speaks volumes with his words.”
see it everyday
silence speaks so many words
genuinely cares

Creative musing enthralls her psyche,
minute thoughts dance before her eyes,
waiting to be written before they
go astray within the confines of the mind
where cobwebbed effigies shadow her
enlightenment.
Gestation occurs, words labor to be born,
one minute adhering to the womb of her intellect,
the next forcing their way through her artistic
birth canal shouting to be heard
and shared by others who utter joy at the
rebirth.

The bloom is on us now
and fear does make what's fragile quake
pink and gold upon the bough
petals quiver, fall, and shake.
So thin, the skin, some opaque
blossoms unfurl and lace the ground
their life passes without a sound.
Cry for the petal's fall
yes, mourn the death of these little things
the puss ywillow enthralls
the halo of seeds on wing
voiceless they bloom and fall down
oh see fair Spring lose its royal crown.

in my dream he waits-
I feel his yearning his hunger and
I dread it yet it enthralls me
to surrender-
sensing him (in my darkened room)
confusion fear overwhelms
he is breathing
close
so near
who is there a shadow moves
whispering my name my name whispering
terrifying a voice deep baritone demanding
and cruel (and then)
I see him his fathomless dark eyes
staring down at me
I am lost yet I pull him close
he strokes my flowing hair but his eyes are cold as ice
daggers to my soul
there is love (hate) lust passion
he wants to control me
violently crushing my (ruby red) lips
obsession his lips release their tension
then his kisses are like flowers of love
(he is evil) he is love he is lust
he is cruel I murmur words of passion
oh those dark fathomless eyes
go away come back I love you
hate you
he wraps his arms around me
(gentle) and I am lost twirling and swirling
oh why does he haunt me
my dream
is fading
fading in the mist
and I am screaming for him
(don't leave me)
oh moon your light is failing
you are nothing now
and dawn breaks like a wound that bleeds
gone and I am left weeping
weeping and this dreams of a ghost
must hide away be locked away
and the wind is whistling in the weeping willows
birds are chirping and the sun is creeping

Lingering waves surge into the shore.
Ominous glory, it rages for a score.
Vivacious peaks beautify its core.
Each one different, then the one before,
Once you have seen the power it holds.
From then on, the greatness unfolds.
Terrifyingly beauty raptures your mind.
Hearing its sounds enthralls us to find.
Earnest thoughts we once left behind.
Oceans beauty is spellbinding at dusk.
Creating fresh aroma, sometimes musk,
Every day delivering, treasures of mollusk.
After a day at the ocean, you may enjoy cusk.
Not one person denies the beauty so brusk.
