Premium Member On My Horizon You Rise

Becoming my rays of hope on my horizon you rise
Bending to form a spectrum shining morning dew
Enchanting ardent vibes, painting panoramic skies

Dreaming of your splendor I inform my eager eyes
Pointing to vibrant vistas where singing birds flew
Becoming my rays of hope on my horizon you rise

Budding sunrise quivers gently hearing my cries
Dispersing darker clouds to enlist emerging blue
Enchanting ardent vibes, painting panoramic skies

Tracing glowing ascent I transcend to newer highs
Finding comfort in cosmic grandeur animating you
Becoming my rays of hope on my horizon you rise

Saying scenic goodbye amid twilight as my prize
Parting hastily coloring mosaic images you drew
Enchanting ardent vibes, painting panoramic skies

Collecting my heart I go where gentle winds blew
Yearning for your arrival till dawn breaks through
Becoming my rays of hope on my horizon you rise
Enchanting ardent vibes, painting panoramic skies

Premium Member Best Lines Ever Penned

Let me tell you about my friend,
her smile is a ray of sunshine
that never fails to enlist mine.

A poetess I recommend;
whether she speaks of love or birds
she pours her heart into her words.

Posting the best lines ever penned
she spills her heart onto the page,
feelings inked by a wizened sage.

Her friendship is real, not pretend,
she makes it easy to believe,
wearing her faith upon her sleeve.

A webmistress, Hawaiian blend,
Connie Wong's heart reveals her soul
every time she makes me feel whole.

Let me tell you about my friend,
a poetess I recommend,
posting the best lines ever penned.
Her friendship is real, not pretend,
a webmistress, Hawaiian blend.

Premium Member One Waits Upon the Horizon

The purple race the tussock face
heather dwells in delinquent mist
fresh the morning waits to embrace
as the sun’s rays break to enlist.
For you are there my summer rose
against the wind your grace unfolds
nothing there is like nature chose
for the memory one remoulds.
Golden sunrise upon the morn
captures the diamond on the dew
nature revels in fragrances worn
scented hint of florescent hue.
The verdant valley doth display
when gentle breeze her hair to sway.

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Soliloquy of a Puppetmaster 2020

Now is the summer of our discontent
Made glorious opportunity for change
And all the clouds that lower on our land
In the bosom of the media rearranged

While I who have no mind for fair concord
Determine to conspire and prove the fiend
And hate the idle pleasures life affords
Ensure conflict is harvested and gleaned

Plots have I laid, inductions dangerous,
To instigate a man against a brother
Black history I will exploit to thrust
In deadly hate one race upon the other

Soft hearted folks I will manipulate
And play upon their heartstrings for my schemes
Their sympathy emotions shall dictate
Virtue signalling conformant to woke memes

To activate my hidden plan I’ll move
Self righteous useful pawns - give delegation
With peaceful protests (who could not approve?)
Though they shall lead to ruinous conflagration

The people will rise, call for a redeemer
When old regime has made a full contrition
To save the nation, be a chaos healer
I’ll, with reluctance, undertake the mission

Then my control shall be with iron fist
Surveillance of the people I’ll refine
And cohorts of young zealots I’ll enlist
The name: ‘Beloved Leader’ shall be mine

The Night

Blooming moon on head
Pinky sky sprinkles the stars
Celebrating love

On the waist of night
Eyes enlist earthly blue dreams
Roses offer life

Premium Member August 4 1914

It was the summer - August 4
When England joined the First World War
1914 the very year
Before wives and children shed their bitter tears

‘The war to end wars’ was the battle cry
Before there had been one widow’s sigh
The men lined up by the score
To enlist, sacrifice themselves to this bitter war

Friends and families made their mark
Pals regiments were formed in town and park
From factories, clubs, offices and farms
They became privates, sergeants, men at arms

And off they went through the streets
Not knowing that they were cannon meat
Cheered and applauded as they marched
Toward war’s verdant fields not yet parched

“It’ll be over by Christmas” came the call
“Get over there one and all”
No one of them, home or abroad
Had ever heard of “Total War”

Posters beckoned from every wall
Poets wrote of war’s enthrall
Songs and stories came thick and fast
Glorifying war and our heroic past

But very soon came the acrid truth
Millions dead - “Anthem of Doomed Youth”
Trial by ordeal and fire and zeal
A generation gone through war’s sharp steel

The sombre, bitter, vile death-calls
Quickly killed the tunes of the music halls
Wounded, dead, disfigured men
Many mutilated beyond any ken

At the end it was all for naught
That carnage in each battle fought
Kings deposed and Empires lost
But the worst thing was the human cost

One hundred years to this very day
Like then we shake our heads and say
Still in wars our sons and daughters die
To all that is holy, why? oh why?

Premium Member Why the Rose Bled

Parents so proud four sons they raised
From the Highlands of Scotland in the pre-war days
On their crofts they worked morning till night
Unknown to them then of a future fight

The Germans have invaded a country so free
Poland was taken, the world shaken visually
Britain declares war as our men enlist
To rid the enemy as the fighting shifts

Europe's engulfed in a feverish war
Many are dying to comprehend what for
Four brothers sign up to fight
Soon a mother will pray every night

Campaigns they fight in, these theatres of war
Witnessing horrors never seen before
In their garden at home on the family crofts
Lies a bed of roses with petals so soft

Then one day with a passing glance
A pink rose dripping red in deathly stance
Their mother turns to the gate she looks
Telegram in hand from the postman she took

With trembling hands she opens with care
Upon reading the message in tear laden stare
Their eldest son in Africa was lost
As many many others deaths global cost

Every day as she passes the rose
It's pink petals bloom her tomorrow's fear grows.

I'm going to enter a beauty quest
Win or lose it’s my right to contest
Age race or gender should not bold us back
We've fought for our rights so let's get on track

I'll enlist the help of my lovely niece
She runs a gym and is ready to please
We’ll, work on muscles and then the curves
Right now I'm just a bundle of nerves

Woke up this morning and my hair's all gone
A touch of alopecia and I'm like a sheep shorn
To make matters worse one eyebrow is missing
I look a freak and my cat is hissing

Well we’ll, work on muscles and then the curves
Right now I'm just a bundle of nerves
Woke up this morning and my hair's all gone

The day arrives and I'm ready to go
Wig and make-up in place I head for the show
My dress is from the Op Shop all silk and lace
And with my stilettos the stage I, will grace

They have us lined up to do the high kick
I raise my leg and feel my knee click
l' m forced to dance one leg in the air
Oh! how I long for my rocking chair

They're calling my name to receive the crown
My courage and persistence has won me renown
That dress from the Op-shop was a very good deal
I'll remember them kindly for their Winter Appeal.

God Is....

"Color me red" this he did say
This is Satan and you must obey

The call of the wild for is it ok?

Who cares as I destroy the day

The red you color is from your vein

The ink that spilled from ever shame

You raped a child in the name of me

You will now suffer ever in eternity

I feel the words escape from your dying breath, "Please Lord dont take it out with
a noose around my neck"

For if you kill me you kill your religion, I promise you, if this noose falls through
the gallow then I will trek

I will find your kind in the after life, even if it down in the basement with your wife, I
will come and get you

You're the one who told me so, created my mind to enlist your blow, is this a
reason you are telling me?

That I must not fight but run away in flee? I'm a coward like you, you see, I die for I
believe in your creed

"My son you are not one of mine

I enlist your soul to preach my kind

You create your own from words of mine

Now rot in hell for the breach of time

And conjur a smell to remember your lie

Befriend your mind as you are left to die

Alone as you wish for your wish is a cry

You are no longer a part of my embassy

Trade your wings for the treatory that be

For a mask supposed to look like me

Horns for you stab at your constant envy

Dont you ever compare you with thee

For are weak and f&ck all that you percieve

Freedom Before Religion

I declare today
That my body is my body.
No government entity, private citizen,
Or business public or private
Has any rights
Or permission to use,
Abuse,
Regulate,
Deregulate,
Confiscate
Obliterate,
My body.
Law makers and religious shakers
I petition no takers.
My appendages are mine
I choose their destiny
I choose their function
Their purpose
I choose.
I enter no contract
I obay no edict
My flesh is mine
I enter in consensual unions
Without compromise
Without permission
From the state
From the clergy
From any finger pointer or tongue wager.
I declare today
From a starting point of now
Until my end
That my body is my body
I will defend my flesh
My growth
My every carbon
From those who wish to dominate
Regulate
Seek to enlist the state
I am not a part of any collective thought
Nor am I unionized by fear
That wilfully drives to steer
Anything that can be bought
By sanction, or divinity, or code.
I declare today, all days
That my body is not yours
No one shall limit
My abuse or use or purpose
I will not obey
I so declare today.

Sonnet For a Corona Virus

A dark and unseen presence in our midst
Spreads fear and caution stifling our striving
Would sole and loving God choose to enlist
Such agency to threaten our surviving?

In infinite diversity of forms
That populate the universe we know
Creations come with each new day that dawns
Chance: minor deities vie to bestow

Might one small god be swelling now with pride
His blessed child with given name: a crown
Has spread its realm extending far and wide
Domain where now the sun does ne’er go down

But kingdoms come and go as dew on grass
Men and viruses prevail but then shall pass

Dancing With Butterflies

"dancing with butterflies"

as day breaks with promises
butterflies gracefully shadow me
causing me to be a ballerina
dancing effortlessly by the sea
everlasting is this moment of light
forever engraved with freedom
giving me a breath of oxygen
holding the thought to carry on

I enlist and follow the dream
joining beauty of butterflies
knowing they will show the way
leading to extraordinary senses
making the sun shine and moon glow
never a hesitation or missing beat
only open windows with possibilities
placing my soul alive and free

quietly all butterflies fly away
resting knowing my spirit is whole
sprinkling their grace upon me
taking with them darkness and pain

Premium Member Love Is My All

No greater gift then the gift of love
and when given freely, its purely love
Offering oneself to others is love
nothing else matters when we are in love
we can save a soul by one act of love

No precious gem shines more then love
no feeling in the world is more cherished then love
all the tea in China cannot drown love
It is the magic cure for all that ails, sweet love
I could not live without love

Love is my chalice, filled with goodness it
Overflows with goodwill.
Verily I say onto thee,
Enlist in the army of love, and be a warrior of love

LOVE ...

Premium Member Bucket List

. BUCKET LIST

Early dawn I find myself,
wondering about my health.

Journey, through the morning mist,
overwhelmed about the reason I exist.

Without thinking of my past,
worried my future will not last.

All my life I have reminisce,
at what age to start my BUCKET LIST?

First, I will work on getting my tickets dismiss.
Then I will take a trip down to the dentist.

Call up them guys who got me piss,
punch them one by one, with my fist.

I do not wannabe be an old geezer skydiving.
I want to live my old age surviving.

I might be brave enough to climb a mountain,
maybe I will bungee off the Niagara fountain.

Checked out that bump that everyone thinks is a cyst.
It will be to late, if the army wants me to enlist.

If I want to travel far,
on my list I will add a brand new car.

I will enjoy eating all the fried food, I resist
even if it brings me closer on DEATH’S LIST.

Close the door to my demons who at once preexist.
Before my family thinks, I need another exorcist.

Thinking how I never did any of the above got me piss.
I will just wait another 35 years to start another BUCKET LIST.
