Notes About The Poem

Constanza
The Constanza created by Connie Marcum Wong consists of five or more 3-line stanzas. Each line has eight syllables. All the first lines of all the stanzas form an independent poem as the rest of the poem expresses a deeper meaning. The first lines are in mono rhyme while the second and third lines of each stanza rhyme together. Rhyme scheme: a/b/b  a/c/c  a/d/d  a/e/e  a/f/f.........etc. And the end verse is made up of the first lines of all the previous verses combined.

Best Lines Ever Penned

Let me tell you about my friend,
her smile is a ray of sunshine
that never fails to enlist mine.

A poetess I recommend;
whether she speaks of love or birds
she pours her heart into her words.

Posting the best lines ever penned
she spills her heart onto the page,  
feelings inked by a wizened sage.

Her friendship is real, not pretend, 
she makes it easy to believe,
wearing her faith upon her sleeve.

A webmistress, Hawaiian blend,
Connie Wong's heart reveals her soul
every time she makes me feel whole.

Let me tell you about my friend,
a poetess I recommend,
posting the best lines ever penned.
