Fans
the heart-
that bellows
embers into
flames

Primitive Weapon

Roses are red
violets are blue
Your mouth is rubber
My feelings are glue
Why must you hate
I haven't a clue
Your narcissistic
Negative mind
Affects us too
Every time
Soon you'll find
Yourself alone
But before I go
I've got one more poem
Sticks and stones
May break my bones
But your words really f****** hurt

U...are the greatest gift from God

Got…to understand it is you that will always make a positive difference

Love...will embrace your soul unconditionally

Yourself...and others like you, are the reason good exists in this world

Mirror Mirror

Mirror mirror on the wall
Please tell me why I always fall
When I try to do something that will build me up
Then suddenly lose motivation and zeal for it all

So many pursuits  were met halfway
I tried to learn skills but procrastination domes my way
Or suddenly I'm swamped with other responsibilities
And when I'm ready to go back, people have already gone far

When I look at my reflection what I see
Is a failing hypocrite starting back at me
People think I'm so smart and so put together
They don't know what burns underneath my sweater

I wish I could be easier on myself
And take things one step at a time
But with the way things are going
I can only feel peace with God by my side

Premium Member Thank You

The smile on my face
I cannot erase.
That you would be so kind
really blows my mind.

I’m ever so humbled
and my mind is jumbled
with thoughts of how
to share this gift now.

I value the bestower
and my head I lower
in deepest gratitude
for my good mood.

So on and up
to my good luck.
I hope that you will see
the very best in me.

Blind

You might think you know me
And others think so too
But who I am to me
Is not who I am to you

And you are not the same
As who I really see
Because who you are to you
Is not who you are to me

What we see is limited
To what the other’s shown
So though we say we’re friends
We both remain unknown

You may think you really are
What you keep inside
And I may think that I am
More of what I hide

Too scared to reveal the truth
Afraid to show our faults
Cause knowing who we really are
Might put the other off

If I saw me through your eyes
I’d only see what’s good
And if you could see what I do
You’d see you like you should

So maybe we are blind
When it comes to who is who
But I think we might see better
From each others point of view

Come Into Your Own

It never is too late to start
Pursuing what you dream.
Listen closely to your heart...
Allow your mind to stream.
Do not let status or age
Instill crisis within you.
Successfully turning the page?
Only if you decide to.

All of us when we are younger
Wish that we could be
A certain someone - this, we hunger
For innocently.
Many of us follow through,
Becoming with ambition.
Life goes on for others who
Do not reach such fruition.

Time, effort, determination...
All of which are needed
Concerning a qualification
Being earned - succeeded.
When it comes to a career
And all of its deployments,
Necessary to hold near...
Your passions and enjoyments.

Caught up in our daily lives...
Succumbing to routine.
Suppression of ambitious thrives
Which go unheard, unseen.
Commonly, what was desired
Is lost or forgotten.
Their fruits from a tree inspired...
Now, fallen and rotten.

At any given time, this tree
Can produce and provide
More fruits, of which you are free
To choose in your decide.
Will you come into your own...
Take up what makes you clever?
To say the least, this much is known...
Better late than never.

A World In Crisis

The corona virus has crippled the
Economy and the nation
It seems to be on a death trip
Killing everyone it comes
In contact with
With several businesses having to
Closed their doors temporarily
Creates several problems
Like a recession
Businesses can’t pay the workers
If they’re not at work
How will people pay their bills
And have a roof over their heads
It’ll cause people to be homeless
It’s already taken away our social life
Causing people to feel like
Tuna in a can
It’s becoming worse and wide spread
That the shelves in stores are empty
With the items we need the most
Wipes and hand sanitizer
With a deadly virus upon us
Plus the start of a recession and
Hurricane season coming up
What’s to become of us now
Pray and pray hard
Even though it looks bad
Don't lose your faith

Premium Member A Little Purple Flower

They were on the edge of hopelessness…their dream…not going as they planned
until they happened on a little purple flower growing in the sand…

And they began to hope again…believing their dream…within their reach
when they saw a little purple flower growing on the beach.

Premium Member El Cinco De Manos

Usa tu manos para abrir to corazon abierto!

Diez dedos, dos manos,
El cinco de manos.

In the Stillness of the Night

In the stillness of the night
when the world is asleep
and the place is at peace,
I bask giddily in quiet solitude.

Nothing’s quite like it. Feeling as light as a kite.
No noise or burden on me creep.
Only the still voice from within that I welcome with ease.
I relax with a positive attitude.

No room for thoughts that fill with fright.
No time for emotions that'll drown me deep.
Shutting those out, I take in and release
Only what's good for mankind. I'll rise and reach new altitudes.

I turn on my happy glowing light.
Its rays into my soul seep.
I smile at man's ingenuity such as this.
I'm filled with hope and immense gratitude.

Thinking of what I can add to make the world happy and bright
Something to treasure and to keep.
I’ll create a nice, uplifting piece.
I wonder at all of mankind's expressive aptitudes.

What beacons of hope can I ignite?
Make doubtful minds and sad hearts leap.
Make negativity and hate cease.
Inspire creativity and world peace.

I’ll use the stillness of the dark to inspire and not incite.
I’ll share with love and enlighten multitudes.

Hello Freind

What’s up? I hope you’re doing well. I see life has taken it’s toll on you, believe me I can tell. Its like from the moment you are born society places you under its spell. Damn it what the hell is going on? I bet that’s the dialogue of your higher self. So guess what? They may label you but no one can place you on a shelf because your soul is not for sale! They can brand you call you all sorts of names, put you in boxes of every weight, size and shape but they can’t ship you in the mail. You are priceless my friend but valuable at the same time. And as one the closest friends you will ever have in THIS existence. I want to help calm the storms that are raging in your mind. So you tell me you feel like nobody understands you and you feel all alone in what you are going and growing through. Hey man I see you, I hear you I FEEL YOU. I am here for you I want to be there for you even when they say you are too soft spoken, I lend you my ears so you can let you heart speak because I want to unconditionally be there for you. Hey man listen I know you experienced times and situations where you felt no connection to anyone and they labeled you antisocial weird and unvocal. I been there too and I know that can drive even the best of us loco. So you tell me you feel anxious and stressed out about your future based on your past experiences, like all the things that were said to you, done to you caused you to want to just get away from it all and shut down. I get it and to honest with you, it’s perfectly Ok to NOT be ok. It’s actually cool to not fit in because you have the power to DECIDE when you are in alignment with what you feel inside. Why? Because only you can know what is best. Until next time take care and be blessed.

Premium Member Encouragement For a Graduate

Your life is so rich--uniquely consequential--
It's no accident, YOU were born with potential,
No goal is so lofty you cannot achieve it
You're a special one-of-a-kind, that's the secret.
Never stop dreaming, aim for unreachable stars
Anticipate some battles, with pride wear those scars.
Someday you'll look back on a distinguished career,
Because you faced every day with courage, my dear.
