A Letter To God

I wrote a letter to God and I had to ask why,
He allowed so much suffering and little people had to die?
One’s that had never caused trouble or done anybody harm,
Taken before they experienced life, plucked from their mothers arms.

He said answer me this, why did my son have to suffer and die?
Nailed to that cross I couldn’t even watch, all I could do was turn my head and cry!
What trouble did He cause, what harm did He do?
And all for what, He did it for you.

He said you couldn’t comprehend all the things that daily take place,
And all I ask is your trust till we meet face to face.
He said all things have a reason and someday you will know,
But you must trust in my word so your faith will blossom and grow.

I said Lord please forgive me if I sounded out of line,
It seems like all we ever do is complain, ask for mercy, or whine.
I know that you are busy so I guess I will close,
Thank You for listening and my love I enclose.

A Birthday Poem For My Very Special Friend
(This is also composed for my dear friend, PD)

Your birthday is indeed a great time of gaiety,
It calls for a celebration, a Grand Poetic Party
But, what I have just said is only a secondary
Most importantly, your life is great and healthy.

I am writing this poem first and foremost,
To send my love and best wishes to the most
For all the dreams of yours, let’s make a toast
May they all be fulfilled without any cost.

Since, I don’t have here your complete address,
I cannot send you chocolates, cakes or roses
So, I’ll just send my fervent prayer for success
To God, He may protect you, guide you and bless.

I will also enclose in these lines of my poem,
My songs of bliss for you and your family at home,
May you be free from all worries and gloom
Age added but, you’re a gal who incessantly bloom.

My dearest friend Linda, have a very happy birthday,
If you are only here, I’ll dance with you today,
Like a lady on her debut on the 18th Natal Day
You’re our Grand Celebrity in ‘tis Land of Poetry.

Premium Member Graceful the Pose

How graceful the swan’s pose that circles a quay
Her elegant plumes flitting away,
To dance as night-tide approaches
When furled gait twitches,
In a  bold
Pose!
Stars behold
This charm like a rose,
As waltzes on tides enclose
The bloomed poses of her last display.
How graceful the swan’s pose that circles a quay.

Premium Member Once There Was a Love

Together they sat by the side of a jumping cataract
Watching the sunlight dancing through the smoky vapour
With every droplet mirroring a spectrum of shades
Dreamt of a time when they would be man n’ wife
Never knowing one would vanish out from the sky like a rainbow.

He was a candle that glowed luminous
Emitting undeniable light of love and warmth
Who shone on her like the light of a harvest moon
A pillar, she thought, she could twine round
Like a creeping vine on a trellis

Now, as she sees the homing bird coming to join its mate
And listens to the notes of a nightingale from the deserted wood
She thinks of him and slips into an abyss of agony and longing
With waves of commotion swirling in her head
And sees her sky suddenly turning stygian black

When the setting sun in its twilight glows
When the waning day’s last glorious rays enclose
She seeks him in the hovering silence and seclusion of life
And wonder if love adrift and lost in the air
Would return once more to alight in her shattered heart....!

To find that place where wanton needs abide
where you enclose the secrets of your mind
Unchartered realms where fantasies reside
I'll travel deep these treasured truths to find
I'll~go~the~distance~

I'll go where none has left a single trace
for you have not allowed an entrance there
yet every hindrance I will bravely face
until I lie your soul before me...bare
I'll~~go~~the~~distance~~

The crevice of your heart I will explore
I'll go much deeper than you realize
No matter what I find, I'll still adore
the man who brings me heaven in his eyes
I’ll~~~go~~~the~~~distance~~~

I’ll mine illicit gems you have suppressed
for fear that some might find them untoward
Each one I’ll bring to light, fully expressed
I’ll watch as you delight in my reward
I’ll~~~~go~~~~the~~~~distance~~~~

I’ll go the distance, for you are to me
The impetus that makes this heart to beat
I’ll go the distance, and I’ll set you free
You’ll find yourself in me and be complete
I’ll~~~~~go~~~~~ the~~~~~distance~~~~~

LEAVING A KISS

Shall I leave you a kiss?

Kiss that flowers a love forevermore.
Love that long been just figments of doubts
but if it is you, I will plant my trust.
Sweet tasty things be stirring in hush.

Pathways twisted shall flourish as they uncoil.
Readying a road for baby passion to freely swirl
Emotions constellate shimmering rainbow bright
Moonshine thrives magnifying fine wine delight

If gnawing beastly storms seeps then enclose
breaking to pieces the sky, the sea and our earth
Bitter tears will spill flooding veins in dark haste
slowly killing everything that grows

But upon love kiss on lips of faith and hope
a spark shall dwell cracking perpetual life
banging the taunts twining pain and strife
Resurrecting progress in blooms of green and red

Premium Member Revelation Or Implantation

Like the speed of light a revelation
came; knowledge entered portals of the brain
Then the thoughts disappeared what deflation
A seed planted with light wisdom a gain

Darkness a seed of Satan's devices
Slipped into the brain's portals quietly
When darkness floats in, sits, all pay the price
The body, soul, and spirit dies nightly

An implantation of evil that grows
A darkness that spreads with thick evil wings
The web spreading out 'til emotions enclose
Blackness covers the brain, heart, feelings

At the speed of light, wisdom opens doors
Darkness settles into a being's stores

Roses and Sunbeams

Roses and Sunbeams

Her scent wafts alongside her and sinks into my heart;
For I have become fixated, by a desire for her touch.
She was glorious and overpowering, from the very start;
I am hooked and addicted to her love; she is my drug.

She leads me to distraction, for in her I eyes I am lost;
Hopelessly infatuated with her, I see only roses.
She brings me to Heaven and my trust is all it cost;
For she believes in my faithfulness and in her pocket are posies.

Her words are like sunbeams, bringing light to my darkness
And our candlelit romantic nights; shall never be soiled.
She can remember my love and forget any bitterness;
For I am here to cure her heart and our love can never be destroyed.

She is eternally locked, within a memory of happiness;
For she brings me warmth, when all else in the world is cold and black.
I am alive when our hands are together; embrace me my Goddess.
For I am enslaved by your beauty and I shall never fondness lack.

I have no need to speak to her of my lust for her body;
Because she can see clearly how much I love her; I glide.
In her arms I am forever gladdened, by her proximity;
But if she was ever taken from my eyes, I would surely die.

I need her presence beside me, to guide me along;
This story of a life, as of yet unseen by the world.
But inside her I find, I am locked forever, she is our song;
She is a poem, a poetess, a masterpiece…she is my girl.

She is the flick of the last paint stroke, on the Mona Lisa;
She is the full stop at the end of a play by Shakespeare.
She is the last chip off the shoulder, of the Adonis sculpture;
She is the seal to enclose the writings of a scripture of literature.

She is the last second of pregnancy; she is a new born baby.
She is the last, she is unique, she broke the mould; she is reverie.
She is the Gateway to Heaven; she is the perfect lady.
She is Gods day of rest after a week of creating humanity.

She is the last heartbeat of my life and she is love…
She makes me complete…she is the perfect finishing touch.

The Lighthouse

I have watched from the tower
That rises in the night,
To the throne of the mountains
To stand at their height.

I have gazed at the waters
Of emerald seas,
To the depth of all beauty
The breath of the breeze.

In the dusk I have risen
The staircase to climb,
To the light of my tower
that always must shine.

In the storms of the winter
That howl to the moon,
I have listened and wondered
While hearing each tune.

Through the vines of my window
The ivy and rose,
With their berries and blossoms
Protect and enclose.

Here I look for the sailors
When lost in the night,
When their ships are in danger
I shine out my light.

On the edge of the ocean
Where waves meet the sand,
There the rocks are the border
Between sea and land.

The sharp fangs of the ocean
The swords of the shores,
That devour the wretched
That died in their jaws.

So I climb still the staircase
To stand there tonight,
For I've seen those who washed up
Who died without light.

Premium Member Life and Its Purpose

Life on Earth is a God given boon
It should be skillfully set to tune
Both beauty and charm it should enclose
Should smell fragrant like a red, red rose

If life be made a saga of commitment and love
That by sacrifice, now and then made anew
In colors cascading like the welkin’s bow
It will bloom radiant in unusual glow

Know, life is a dispenser of joy and grief
Both, we have to accept as they shift brief
In gloom, hope there is a better day in wait
Too much of anything can our soul sedate

To idle away, we have hardly any time
Do what one can in life’s best prime
Keep away from the grip of spite and hate
And live life for love and love’s delight

Letter To My Skin

I was born with you
You have travelled this road of life
Right here with me
You stood by as I would bruise you
I would leave you marked
Without a care in the world
I just did not realise this
That you hurt too
That you are important too
And most of all
You are not a part of me
It is I
I am a part of you
I walked around with you
Weathered storms
The heat, all four seasons
You have always been close to me
Close as breathing
I just realised late
That you are important too
And most of all
You are not a part of me
It is I
I am a part of you
No one has been as close to me as you all
People would touch you
Perceiving they were touching me
If it were not for you
I would surely die
For you cover my being
You enclose me
You envelope me
I never realised I took you for granted
Thank you for caring
Thank you for holding all of me together
And most of all
Thank you for being a part of me
Thank you for letting me
Be a part of you
And if ever I forget you again
Make it known
May I look at you and see
That you are important too
And most of all
You are not a part of me
It is i
I am a part of you
I will never be without you
In life we are always together
And in death, we will be together
A part of each other
Thank you for carrying me through the years
Sincerely, Me

"The velvet veins running through my deep-coloured wings sing blues, remembering the non-existent maple memories, lighting up my heart's frosty rays."
                         ~ Deepali Singhvi

The soft folds of velvet enclose
her slim body as she ambles
across the woods in tearful throes;

Wrapped in velvet, on she rambles
in whispers of ache that perturb
her feelings that are in shambles;

Her saunter's like a healing herb
that relieves her from her sorrow,
Here, there's no one else to disturb;

She follows a path that's narrow,
sits beside a well-worn headstone,
cries as if there is no morrow;

Slowly, she sighs sitting alone,
Unlocks a velvet box and takes
a black velvet rose to bemoan;

Places it there, her body shakes
with deep anguish for whom she lost,
"I'll love you always", her voice breaks;

Walking back, she's like velvet frost,
Wishing their love were not star-crossed.

Dystopian Dignity

Sweeping through what once was mine
Gazing at this ravaged shrine
Composing the vitals in thoughts divine
Cut my losses and bleed through time
Here I'll stand along these lines

Chimerical dreams in the hands of Morpheus
Acidic tears that corrode the capricious
Inscrutable plans that defy the obvious
Vanishing ties that remove the analogous
A grudge in perfection, deception, insidious

Volatile remarks that hold me in check
If I may be so bold, my tongue is direct
A propensity for temper, yet I am select
Now I'll take my leave, sabbatical, reflect
What is not right, is left and a wreck

Developing memories of my past
Implausible interjections that speak to the last
Feral remarks that hold tight and hold fast
I bow to you, grief, for I've been outclassed
A terse line of humor that leaves them aghast

Clandestine demons that dwell in my brain
Delusion of wonder, they're one and the same
Enclose the clairvoyant, set free the deranged
What I have lost is now mine in shame
Forthwith I give you my word, I'll be back again

   "CHAINED"

imprisoned by choice
scars and bruises my cell mates
death follows future
abuse is a life sentence
the force of love keeps me jailed.

walls enclose vast view
no-one knows my secret hurts
hears sobbed silent cries
abuse degrades human soul
escape holds no path to run.

invisible bars
contain emotions red ... raw
end is not in sight
entrapment stifles breathing
a heart denied from beating.
