brilliant beams of Sunlight cascade
to orange aura marmalade
enhancing love while blooming new
beneath cream skies of patent blue
sprinkling words sweet as dawning's dew
two turtledoves in wings which coo
fond melodies caress adieu'
in magic moments rendezvous
frolicked in fields of heather's hue
fake hearts faded to vapor's view
soft silver stars shed tears parade
enchanted moonlight mist charade'.

Butterflies & Moonbeams
Of things that inspire I will write
Whether things of day or by night
Butterflies and silver moonbeams
Upon the quiet water gleams
Azure heavens where a hawk screams
Sunsets repainting awesome themes
Trees shade meandering cool streams
Yellow Stone where old faithful steams
Fireflies & double rainbow dreams
All made of magic so it seems
Enchantments entice my delight
With wonder I will dream tonight

I used to clearly see your face
But now you’re gone; as if erased,
Misplaced, or hid, or left behind,
Or lost somewhere inside my mind
I want you back; my heart is twined -
A Celtic knot I can’t unwind
That aches your loss; I feel consigned
To memory’s unfair design
How can I love you, yet be blind?
You’re still a blank, still undefined
I keep on searching, frantic paced
I need to fill this empty space…

Engage
Go back to basic
conversation calm and cool.
No need for backchat.
Enrage
Hurt heart hot with rage-
Deafened encapsulation.
Left without true peace.

Bip,bip,bip,
" A few years ago, you began a journey to find me,
and now you have" I was in a hospital! " You are still"
Is it you holding my hand? or is it Jesus?
" Both, we are one and both"
huh! " Yet, you know this don't you?" Yes!
" I am God and Jesus, My Son is Jesus and God,
we are one, we dwell together in as you would say
one spirit"
So I am still alive? "Yes, you have work yet to do with me"
What work? " The answer to that dwells within your heart,
our heart" " You see we are here, because you love me
and I you"
You saved my life? " No, my Son, you saved your own life,
by coming to this hospital when you felt pain in your heart,
our heart" " It was our relationship of love, that you did this"
" It was my love for you, that held your hand"
" It was also your love for me that guided the hand of the
physician who began the healing of our heart, and his love for you
and me that gave him the ability". " It is now that we three
share a relationship" " I held your hand, he held our heart, you had
faith in us both, believed in us both and loved us both that allowed you
to save yourself."
Bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,
Will I see you again? " If it is needed, it may be a long time"
w" we will speak again, many times in many ways" " remember,
my Son, because you love me, have faith in me, believe in me
and truly wish me to dwell in you, I will always hold your hand."
" It is time for you to return, there are two other of my children,
waiting for you, who love us both"
bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,bip,

Narrative
Roaring torrents go tumbling down
Splashing beads of clear tiny crowns.
Sparkling tears from heaven above,
Lathering pools of cleansing love.
Frothy white, like a snowy dove,
Rushing waters that push and shove.
Prism rainbows gleaming above,
God's handiwork for his beloved.
Cascading falls, deafening sound,
Earth's paradise, beauty unbound.

A gilded cage with heart so pure
her lessons here she must endure,
sadness and pain her life has shown
with golden bars a place called home.
A lonely place for one to be
beyond the bars she may not see
still longing for her love's embrace
no longer can she see his face.
His journey took him far away
a pipers price she could not pay
as time goes by and tears they fall,
could he have been her love at all?

A new born babe so innocent,
lays in mother’s arms quite content
flailing small limbs in full display,
young lungs fill with air, loudly bay.
Soft eyes lacking doubt or dismay
fragile heart, no burdens to weigh
or thoughts too sinful to betray.
Hand cradles tiny head from sway,
safe on mother’s chest she will stay
until she is grown, moves away.
Born into a world reticent;
knowing for sure she’s heaven sent.

I feel so blessed to view the sky,
To watch God’s majestic birds fly;
To hear them wake, begin to sing,
Then leave their tree limbs on the wing.
As winter season turns to spring
Mating birds hunt for twigs and string
To build a nest for mothering.
Soon what joy little eggs will bring
When these new fledglings learn to fly
And leave their wing prints in the sky.

At the national picket of the unhappy
I see large crooked coins
Hoisted like placards above the irate crowd.
On the first face, I see immigrants & owls embossed,
And on the second, snakes & neighbors.
It's the coin they toss
To divine the wellspring of troubles
That every day beset this broken nation.
It turns at every toss to land first face up
When crime is up and jobs down.
The oracle, I know, holds the second face in reserve
To deploy on that day to come
When the homeland is rid of strange hairs and noses
But crime is still up and about
And jobs still down and out.
Yes, when immigrants are gone it'll be neighbors in the dock
Taking blame for all national ills.
History will stand witness
As the whips and stones that now descend on immigrants
To break their bones and spirit
Give way to tanks and missiles
Sent forth to break bone and spirit
Across the trampled borders
To the east, west, and south
Previously crossed by immigrants
But now crossed by armies.
Wisdom beckons to the clueless right
But her call they will not heed.
With glee they hasten to their likes across the border,
Carrying their precious coins in tow
With which they purchase glib excuses
To explain away all national failure.
How little they know that when their deed is done
And all immigrants gone
We'll be back to war, war, war
As of yore,
When the homeland had not strange hairs and noses
To take away from neighbors the blame for national ills.

Free verse
He stands so proud, his head held high,
He scents the air, nose to the sky;
To smell just what the rain might bring,
He’s regal like a royal king
He’s so majestic, a wild thing,
His prancing step now has a spring,
Feel the power his body sings;
Look close now you can see his wings,
Almost as if he wants to fly;
Up to the gods high in the sky…

Iced tea's sipped from a mason jar.
Lemon sun squirts light from afar.
Ruffled parasols relieve some
from relentless heat as green thumbs
plant colorful chrysanthemums.
Barefeet tap to the earth's rhythm.
On sighing summer breeze, bees hum.
Perched on the front porch swing, I strum
a simple chord as neighbors come
and join the carefree song. They drum
to the lazy day's mellow bars
until our light shines from the stars.

SHOEMAKER DADDY - A DUO-RHYME (12 lines)
His workshop’s open now I see
He will not notice - it’s just me.
His tools, his nails, his leatherware,
His hammers large and small are there,
All ready for his hands to bear
When he returns to take his chair.
The shoes he makes are neat each pair,
And some are leather dark or fair,
They’re crafted all with love and care.
So here’s my secret silent prayer :
I hope he takes me on his knee
And makes me some in small size three.

What really happens when its your time to die,
Your last breath taken, does your soul leave and fly.
Is there really a deceased family member there to greet,
Someone you loved greatly, waiting for the final meet.
Is heaven really beautiful, at the gate is there a seat,
If you’ve lived a good life, is it like a perfect retreat.
Can there be life after death, I hope, or is this deceit,
When we die, are we gone, just our bodies in concrete.
As a scientific person my thoughts make it hard to lie,
But I believe my family will greet me at my last goodbye.

When I was only seventeen,
I met my darling Norma Jeane.
And I, still wet behind the ears,
Emboldened by too many beers,
Approached her and forgot my fears,
Became the envy of my peers -
But knew our love would end in tears.
And after many lonesome years,
I saw her on the silver screen -
And dreamed of how it could have been…
