Hope lives on a four leaf clover.
Greener pastures when yesterday's over.
My heart spins when her hair gets twirled.
And I start to shake in this lovers world.
I walked around the corner and stayed awhile.
That's where I was when I seen her smile.
I felt more in that moment than in my whole life.
Straight to my heart just like a knife.
I've made that turn a time or two.
But theres no turning round now that it's you.
The sun came up on the other side.
Took away any shadow where I can hide.
Destiny delivered a dream for two.
Everything has suddenly become pink and blue.
I can't help but wait for the bubble to pop.
Borrowed trouble in this dream balloon shop.
Hope lives on a four leaf clover.
Greener pastures when yesterday's over.
My heart spins when her hair gets twirled.
And I start to shake in this lovers world.
What tales your leaves must whisper
of youths tall in your strong arms.
Pretending to be pirates
in a terrible, fierce storm.
Or lovers in your shadows
making vows they sometimes kept;
dreamer's secret hideaway,
underneath leaves, young boys slept.
Many years honed your boldness,
growing taller, stronger, blest.
You were proud to play sentry
standing guard so birds could nest.
You were the featured player
in those years of grandeur past.
Years have now turned against you
and have burdened you at last.
Growing older with seasons,
branches balding, and falling.
You stand proud as you listen
to echoes and their calling.
My good friend, grand old oak tree
I will sit with you at last
We'll tell each other stories
of those days that have long passed.

"Still Born"
Shh!! Mommy, quiet, quiet she is still sleeping
Shh!! Mommy, quiet, quiet she is off dreaming
Shh!! Mommy, before you wake her: “My baby sister!”
Now look what you have done, you gone and woke her!
Please, mommy do not tell her what you expect and will concur.
She is silently listening to the unique secret found in every waking minute.
Making movements, imposing that her dreams come with no limit.
Shh!! Mommy, she is dreaming again,
Waiting for another day to end,
Hasting the way you count every minute before she arrives.
Shh!! Mommy, she is not ready yet.
She told me a secret when I press my ear near your nest.
She is hesitating the moment for you to hear her newborn cries.
She is not ready for you to count her fingers and look into her eyes.
She likes it in your womb where it is nice and warm.
She is in a dream protected by a place where angels swarm.
~
Dear:
Mommy I fell asleep when you sang that beautiful lullaby..
Mommy, mommy, I’m ready to see her: “My baby sister!”
I want to play with her- Is she everything we dreamed of.
~
I’m sorry mommy, I do not understand why you cry!
I was not there when the angels woke her without saying goodbye.
Mommy, why did God call and take her home?
Mommy, I am still here, please do not feel alone.
Shh!! Mommy, do not cry no more.
Mommy, please wipe those tears and show me how to be brave.
Mommy, stop, listen, and feel her smile and wave.
She will always listen, when you visit her grave.
Hi, mommy, why don't you stand by her grave anymore?
Mommy, I see you weep no more.
Mommy is she no longer asleep nor in dreams?
Is she in a better land with no trials and deems?
Mommy, now I see everyone’s heart is clear, and no longer stillborn.
Mommy, now life must go on, and in it, we will always have time to mourn.
**
One more thing, mommy thank you for holding my hand,
I am just a sibling, who needed time to understand.

Dreamers of Dreams
Incongruous realities of microcosmic minds
Torturous awakenings in lives raging reminds
Dormant and deceived are rapid eyes moving
Absorbent are neurons firing fluidly brewing
~
Images living through altered consciousness
Stages changing forever falling bottomless
Distortions within space of timeless events
Portions parallel admits mysterious segments
~
Death opening doors amongst dreams coming
Breath filled Angels of harmonics humming
Creation awaits upon celestial sailing seas
Imagination of paths through eternal keys.
...in reverse

[Verse 1]
Girl, I don’t have to know you
To see you in your rhymes.
Yes, it’s true we’ve never touched,
But I’ve felt you a thousand times.
You’re a summer gypsy dancer,
Wild, smart, and so free.
It’s you whose door I knock on—
So will you open up to me?
[Pre-Chorus]
Some may say it’s infatuation,
To have this moon angel on my mind.
Lost in those almond eyes,
A sweeter soul I could not find.
Your tender scent, a spark of light,
You shine like stars in the darkest night.
When you see me standing there,
You’ll never have to wonder why.
[Chorus]
I’m only here to seek your heart,
Romance can find its way.
God knows I’m not in a hurry,
We can start with perhaps someday.
Let me be with you while writing,
I’ll pour the wine, sing you a song,
And watch you make the magic,
See if here, we both belong.
[Bridge]
I can hear the wind whispering,
Secrets only you and I could know,
The moon’s got a plan, babe,
But we’re the ones who’ll make it glow.
Take my hand—don’t hesitate,
This moment’s ours to claim,
Behind your door, it’s all untold,
But baby, we’ll never be the same.
[Chorus]
I’m only here to seek your heart,
Romance can find its way.
God knows I’m not in a hurry,
We can start with perhaps someday.
Let me be with you while writing,
I’ll pour the wine, sing you a song,
And watch you make the magic,
See if here, we both belong.
[Outro]
I’m at your door, island girl,
Heart racing, time stands still.
Beautiful brilliance on the other side—
Open up… I pray you will.
On this night
If given the chance
I’d be driving through the bright city streets of New York
Surpassing the speed limit
In my yellow convertible
Jaguar.
My hair flying high above the state of worry
The music hard, loud, seductive
Blissful amnesia my state of mind
The broken promises, all forgiven
And long ago forgotten.
The wind, an infinite array of scents
Forming a bouquet
Around my disenchantment
And healing the wounds that once ran deep.
Me.
A singular traveler,
Setting forth an adventure
For parts far away
And unfamiliar.
I want to love my body and take care of it's wellbeing.
I want a mind filled with beautiful scenes and fantasies.
I want to unveil my spirit in the sanctuary of nature.
I want to dismiss the hold of low energies and fill myself with high.
I want to meet a person often to exchange words of our souls and smile with broad hearts.
I want to renew my spirit with the sun's bright light in a field of green.
I want music to surround me in communities I wander within.
I want plant food abundant with fresh energy picked from lush trees.
I want warm sweaters under my brown hair or t-shirts and bare feet on hot days.
I want eyes open with peace and joy for I get another moment of life on Earth, a gift.
I want to record my voice softly singing and pour out strong power when rawness strikes in; make music.
I want to dance and release incredible energy.
I want a support system that understands my needs and wants and lends when I am shaky with my stride.
I want to know me well, to love me much, to create a life of joy and bliss, of love and laughter.
I want life and I want it now.
When I have it's splendor, I want to share it with others.
I think I am a "romantic", a dreamer... And I love it...Sleez and drama wasn't my truth. I want truth.
The night was cool
The air was sweet
He stood so close
A smile within his
Soul ' he moved so
Quick he was slick
The talked began
With messages from
A Keyboard..
I was weak
Words he shared
Drove my thoughts wild
I never dream
He noticed me
Behind a hidden screen
For within a dreamer's
Night he became my
Secret delight...
A touch of desire
I breathe in the night air
His scent makes my heart race
Like a wild animal with a hunger rush
Flames within a touch of desire..
DREAMERS AND DOERS
A father, two sons and one request
“would you in my vineyards time and energy invest?”
the first said no, but later thought better and went
the second said yes, but later lost his intent
which of these sons did right – what was meant?
DREAMER OR DOER—OUR GAME PLAN IN LIFE
Dreams are wonders that have been put in our hearts
wide-spread visions, fanaticizing art off the charts
sadly fantasies no matter how worthy
are futile if no action springs off ambitious journey
DREAMER OR DOER—OUR GAME PLAN IN LIFE
God gives us our visions but requires we further advance
write steps down – take that chance-- your life to enhance
discern and encourage His dreams for your life
His timing—His wisdom… then act without strife
DREAMER OR DOER—OUR GAME PLAN IN LIFE

Dreamers Dream
by Odin Roark
Tulsa’s hard times made the decision easy.
Shouldering backpacks and bedrolls,
Tin cups tied atop
Ready for campfire and bean feasts
With hopefully a moss covered log as pillow,
They took up positions on their dreary piece of road.
New York bound dreamers these.
He confident,
She ashamed for thumbing a stranger,
Bringing a truck to stop and speed them away
From barren lands and dead-end streets,
Trusting their past of gravel and dust laden roads,
Leafless bushes and trees,
Their limbs and branches from parched roots,
Giving but reminders of it all,
The emptiness of nothing.
But now…
Hitching a ride to where liquid gold flowed,
Where paved roads knew no end,
Where visions were realized,
And shade from castles in the air
Were there for the taking.
She’d wait tables,
He’d sweep floors on Wall Street,
But only ‘til she was a star,
And he earned his hustler of hustlers merit.
They’d buy a shiny car,
Bright red and big as a hearse,
Maybe even drive it back to Tulsa,
Where upon their return to the east,
They'd return the favor of long ago,
Pick up a hitcher heading their way,
Even if they were only driving a clunker,
Finding out the real way,
Dreams don’t always work out.
Still…
Dreamers must keep on dreaming,
Even when things don’t go their way,
Otherwise…
Exactly.
A heated rush,
Pink tinted flush,
Reflection as is,
An insights quiz.
Who art thou,
Consistant vow,
Hand across thy chest,
A promised test.
Channels to choose,
Casting unforgettable news,
Markings red,
Rose pedals fled.
Right mentality,
Serving punctuality,
As the dreamer recieves,
Their reaction achieves.
It takes a dream to make a dream possible.
On an island of love, side by side,
strolled Ron and his beautiful bride.
So like heaven it seemed,
the two of them deemed
that to be there, they both must have died!
“Are we possibly dreaming?” they said.
“If we’re dreaming, we really aren’t dead!”
Upon saying this rhyme
at the very same time,
they awoke in their very own bed!
“So in synche with our dreams we have been,”
Ron said to his wife with a grin,
“We need never leave home.
Make our next stop be Rome.
Close your eyes, dear; let’s DO IT again!”

Her thoughts drift out the window
on the cool autumn breeze
and a smile creeps upon her withered face
as she remembers the first time she saw
this house
This house that is so old and worn
like her heart
and she sways to the music in her mind
as a tune tumbles from her memory
she dances and twirls across the floor
as the melody carries her dream
back to the days when he was still alive
and would sweep her into his arms
and kiss her wrinkled brow
she stops in mid-stride and a tear rolls
down her leathery cheek
and she smiles
a smile for the love they shared
when they were caught up in their
dreamers dance.
A dream is something magical
A goal that was conceived
It never was illusory
The moment you believed
A dream starts as a baby
A sketch inside your head
It gasps for air while you're awake
Not just inside your bed
A dream will take you all the lengths
You thought you couldn't go
While hope is fueled by stalwart faith
A dream can only grow
Your dream will change the world we know
Are you prepared to do your part
Will you bury it in secret
Or follow it with all your heart
