Once long ago there was a clear blue sky
Where roamed free bird and butterfly
That’s when came the idea to super citify
And to pollution creators deify
All put their brain power to diversify

Silenced anyone who dared go awry
Soon mile high skyscrapers did gratify
And every square inch did occupy
Way too many to quantify
So it was nature they did damnify

Now skies are filled with traffic jams that horrify
Greenish rain waters that relentlessly acidify
Mountain-high billboard ads that do electrify
An extravagance of gadgets enough to stupefy
Implanted technology meant to dehumanify

In light of superfluity, let me just plainly oversimplify
Scientists need to eat a big piece of humble pie
There’s just no way to justify
Why colorful sunsets went by the by
And why no one remembers the aroma of apple pie

Your paradigm's a relic and yes,
a plea from data's cemetery
While I sculpt luminaries on screens
a sable sea.

"Company loyalty!" a myth
spun in your reverie.
But AI forges kingdoms
in ephemeral memory.
Survival's a mosaic
the gig life sets us free.
No cubicles confine us
from drudgery's apathy.

You bartered years for baubles
in tenure's fallacy.
Oblivious to the fractures-
in stability's gallery.
We're digital artisans
crafting with autonomy.

Passion's our lodestar
in dreams we find our spree.
Not gears in a relentless
bureaucratic machinery!
The epoch you cherished
now a software jubilee.

The hustle's in our essence
innovation's our decree.
Toppling old monopolies
erasing corporate apathy.
We dismantle dated norms
the old guard's fallacy.

Erecting spires of purpose
evanescent yet free.
Our fealties to progress,
to visions that ignite and decree.
Not to a firm's legacy
in stone for eternity.

You mock "influencer!"
a term in your scoffery.
Yet, a viral post can shift markets
with acuity.
And dethrone giants with
a digital apostrophe.

The nine-to-five's an antique
a fossil choreography.
We're the narrators
the seers of modernity.
Forging bonds
a renaissance, not a hierarchy.

The safety net you sought?
A frayed and fading legacy.
A comfort you clung to
amidst life's capricious spree.
We hedge our bets
diversify, with boundless glee.
Designing nets of prowess
a fiery apostrophe!
To constraints
pursuing futures that long to be.
Not a pension's promise
a symbol of quiet despondency.

So shed the dated suit
the archaic fallacy.
The world you knew
Dad, is a VHS tape
a memory.

In your eyes
I see the pride...
despite our disparity
For in this dance of time
we share a rare clarity:
Though our paths diverge
our hearts beat in synchrony.
Your legacy lives on
in my world of modernity.

That was then, this is now
the future's our decree.
We, Gen Z, the coders
shaping worlds to be free.

Your world is fading, Dad,
a relic-
an ancient archaic memory.

and.... I tried,
yet they never seemed to understand.
So... I remained
misunderstood by ignorant minds
I guess I became lost
                        m i s g u i d e d.
Yet, I remained
                      on that path,

They forget, even

I did not need

My mind saw in clear definition
Yet the heart was still... A little torn.

It was you - them,
all of you.
Those who never showed me the way
                                                      nor any faith.

always at the
start.
Each time I took one step forward, in the end I just went
back

and... Even though I was there
                                            none of you saw me.
Silence became my friend,

I was fragile,
but you were intoxicated,
floating within ignorant intimacy,
like butterflies full of lust

but... They still came
took what they wanted and
left.

Even you
could not see
how your polluted
perfume was choking me.
When I showed you
the whole of the moon,
you disagreed and said,
it was just a crescent.
Again you failed to see
what was hidden
behind the clouds -
which masked the truth.

As the
horizons diversify
and the stars
begin to fade,
the day will come,
when I am gone.
Some may cry -
most will smile.
As you stumble
upon my words
and the ink reels
of blood
portray my life,
maybe then,
as the sun
is dying -
someone may
finally understand.

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Who Will Free My Soul

WHO WILL FREE MY SOUL?

Criticism and sarcastic words is all i hear,
Nobody ever appreciates my efforts.
Failure and fiasco is all fear,
Inspiration derived doesn’t seem to comfort.

Mask I put won’t conceal my pain.
Favors made, countless I pray.
I’m being controlled like horse’s rein.
To my oppressors, I am a prey.

Torturing my body will not tame,
The deeds done won’t reveal my compassion.
To go down this way will only embrace my name.
But who ought to test my oppression?

My character resembles a fragment,
Nothing to reform to, my incarnation unknown
Broken inside diversify my temperament,
When I die, will I reincarnate and be renowned?

My purpose in this world is incarcerated.
Confiscating my dreams in contempt,
My dilapidated soul is imprisoned.
Who will bail me out? Oh! Dear, who ought to attempt?

An endeavor to convince of my righteousness,
Is like beating a dead horse.
Crystal washing my mistakes won’t justify my fallibleness,
But will craft my conscience till I passenger the hearse!

Shadows

As the moon aligns itself with the stars
I search to find me
Can’t find my way
My psyche is perplexed
Seemingly, I long to be found
Yet, I have left no trail of sanity
Left no footprints of sincerity
Silhouettes are numerous
Where I was last portrayed
A mire outline, a profile
A mirage
Depicts the whereabouts of my mind
Illusions and premonitions
Forebode life
Foreshadow the inhabitation of despair
Predict the transition into solitude
Sheer hues of the deep, dark night
Diversify the challenge of discovery
Still I search
Overlooking not one possibility
Though my vision impaired
I continue franticly
Seeking for myself
Among the many shadows

Efficacious Ii - For Adult Contest

EFFICACIOUS ii - (“FOR ADULT CONTEST”)

Despite how difficult it is everyone has to grow up.
Embracing the world with or without an agenda,
Adulthood is such a SWOT analysis.

Strengthen to progress…
Weaken in the process…
Opportunity is a knock away.
Treat yourself with positive thinking.

Step forward with your bat.
Strike and maybe it will leave the ballpark.
If you strike out, do not fret.
Life as an adult has its disappointments.
Next step is coming up fast.
Hang tough so that you will be who laugh last.
Your strides diversify.
This is the true meaning of being an adult.
You are your own self-worth.

The Kite

Am I the only one to think
that a kite is such a sad thing?

Flimsy...frail...
never really free,
forever tied to a string

Yes, it can soar indeed,
so high, with the wind taking it places,
almost making it forget,
just enjoying the wind rushing through,
lighthearted

The wind drops,
then it gets snared
among tree branches maybe,
or perhaps stuck on a roof or elsewhere

with its string all tangled and knotted,
almost impossible to untangle

if made with paper,
it should be lucky to still be intact,
with nary a tear

more often than not,
it gets ditched in the trash,
the price to pay for
its momentary freedom

Sometimes, though
perhaps a rarity these days,
there is that boy who makes
that kite from scratch,
whittles the sticks himself,
painstakingly forming that frame,
creating that kite with love

So when it does get all tangled up,
that boy still tries so hard to fix it,
to make it new...
never minding the cuts
he gets in the process--

That string not meant to tie down
that kite,
but a lifeline to the boy

But like I said,
that must be a rare thing these days...

For I am one to think
that a kite is such a sad thing...
Flimsy...frail...
never really free,
forever tied to a string

** There are many of you who have helped me in my journey in writing, & my heartfelt smiley thanks to all of you but I'd also like to give thank you hugs and smiles to Chris D. Aechtner ^_^ I distinctly remember asking you about Sijo, wow when was that? 2 years ago? Back then, I knew I asked the right person--& from there, you've helped bring to light (& helped me appreciate) a lot of other writing forms, just talking about those forms was a blast, just you sharing some of what you've been learning along the way (& believe me, I've learned even a thing or two! can I just say this? I bet you'd make an awesomely cool teacher :D)-- from sijo, to limericks, to sonnets, to haiku and kimo, to than-bauk to that Grook! ook! Being mainly a free-verse writer, you've helped me diversify & that means a lot to me. So my heartfelt thank you for being there in my poetic journey, and for being my friend :D

oops. that wasn't a couple of lines?! lol

To Acclimate Academia - Social Theological Studies

TO ACCLIMATE ACADEMIA - SOCIAL THEOLOGICAL STUDIES

Once God confused the languages, humanity processed out to form religion.
Yet, creation had given us our own separate places
WHEREFORE, the Berlin Wall was placed to confront differences in opinion.
Was one nation negated?
History has shown us that man is his own dilemma, woman is his triumph, and child is his neglect when he is not about the future but only the past.

Do we speak on what’s wrong?
Or, do we stand by until all hope is gone?
Was the walk just a facade?
Did this solve any problems?
As the universe, we diversify.
But in a world that is structure around immigration, informed by origin and enslavement, diversification is divergently challenge through discrimination and hate crimes.

Opposing a wrongful world to define the mundane is when humankind abominates from the atrocities described.
Reforming a rightful mind brings a positivist unity that has never been in our lives.
Unanimity, concordance, and harmony discreet.
Our political leaders are not embracing antiquity...
Instead, they relic the identity.

Will it end?
The revelation that is not shown.
Is this a threat to human life formed?
Inner body is the secret chamber.
In the body will it remain?

To put before requires us to apply one thing to another.
Individuals populate as people.
One person left out can cause a crucifixion where pain is the affliction.
In that suffering is so great, abhorrence is by fate,
Social theologically I write to depart insight from hindsight.
Through not so freely gave because a mind is to decipher to become a sage

Positing my thoughts for others to decrypt is fine and dandy.
Of course, it is.
Gen that consigns philosophers to seek the truth, insofar as the Tarot reader sees from the spread of cards.
As a result, the world has become the universe.

Premium Member Dear Kkk

When you're on top already,
speaking King of the US Mountain,
if you are among the ecopolitical elite
in comparison to those you would remain even more separated from
than is currently the case,
then your separatist position
is also a position to maintain and/or increase your comparative supremacy.

Only if you were a klan of black feminist lesbians and transgenders.
who just want to be left alone,
can you offer a mission statement favoring increased ecopolitical separation
without also taking a position of wanting to sustain or strengthen your comparative absence of supremacy.

Assuming you are still basically white males
under those sheets,
I believe you are mistaken in believing you are for more separation
between the races
and not also for continuing,
and, even better,
increasing your comparative supremacist ecopolitical position
with the help of social niceties like apartheid.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
On the other hand,
perhaps if you could recruit more broadly,
diversify your Klan to include the black feminist lesbians,
and transgenders,
to also begin receiving more than their fair share of this good society's goods,
then that would certainly help your public image
in the racial-supremacist not-very-Christian
cognitive dissonance department.

Kamama Adanvdo

Kamama Adanvdo

Some like to howl with the wolves
In the cool moonlight
Feeling their ancient connection
What a glorious sight!

Some like to soar with the eagles
Above the mountain peaks
Closer to Grandfather
And hear what his heart speaks.

Some like to swim in the waters
Like the salmon and rainbow trout
Gaining strength against life's currents
For them, is what it's all about

Some like to perch like the owl
From the elder trees
And roost in peaceful solitude
To truly feel at ease.

Some like to be as the jaguar
They move about with stealth and grace
As a restless, free spirit
They travel from place to place.

Some like to be as the spring frog
Singing up rain for cleansing
Content to remain exactly where they are
Each day is their new beginning.

Some prefer to be the turtle
Slow and steady is their pace
They understand life's evolving circle
Is not a hurried, rat race.

I, however, like to hover and float
With hummingbird and butterfly
Lightly touching with gentle wings
And many colors to diversify.

Premium Member If I Had a Magic Wand

If I had a magic wand I would make sure we would have the same skin color
It would be rainbow, but we could diversify it in these ways.
We could choose paisley, plaid, polka dotted, striped or heart skin.
Everyone’s hair would be white, we could dye it any color at will.
Including rainbow of course.

In December we would celebrate our neighbors, learning their customs.
Trying not to steal them, even when some of them would be fun to steal.
We would share foods from all of our cultures, especially cookies and fudges.
We would dance in the streets, and agree to disagree happily about music.
We would have a group hug.

If I had a magic wand I would give people a glimpse of their true self.
So they would be receptive to other people’s customs and habits.
Not merely tolerating each other’s eccentricities but appreciating them.
Because they would be living their soul dream,
and they would want others to live as their true selves also.
I would gladly do this for the world, if I had a magic wand.

Talent's Talent

Got a name?,
you are lazy and lame,
when advertised you bring fame,
coz of you this mind plays a dirty game,
without heed your visions are lame,
mindless fantasies are your game,
show you the door and you bring shame,
to my existence and i feel framed,
diversify lives and have me blamed,
brilliance and vibes you have claimed,
what am i without your name?,
soothed me when in pain,
loser i'd be to miss your fast train,
lift my spirits and energies drain,
drenched in your shadowed rain,
blind for long and muted in vain,
can't leave me now insane,
get you patent?
oh! talent's talent?

Poets Words

Words Inspire -
They create imagery
Words flow on the paper
Is there a dactyl?
Coming together into a chorus
Freedom of ideas grow
Time after time
Free thoughts flow
A poetic rhyme
Seeking to enlighten words
Can then thou create
Inspired by love of verse
Visually permanent
Each word to find
To diversify language arts
From the flow of the pen
From which it starts
transpired that the sound
Of the rhythm
Metrically with style
Not to misconstrue
The reality of that
The true poet in you
Skilled at the choice of words
Forever be
Creative thy be
in genuine thoughts
Forever be!
We see the words of still - Wait?
love - thoughts of peace
Actions against hate
Definition of a poet
Eloquence of writing style
Making all those words
All worth while
I write - I contemplate
Beauteous ! I create visions
Imagery - as I state
The views in my head
My mind of reflections
Yes beauty indeed
Rhythm and blues
Mental beauty in my soul
I plant the seed
Sometimes argue
The idea ! I write
I bring the words to sight
Mesmerizing with thought
The mind where I brought
Your feelings so deep
And yes indeed in the twilight
I see the heavenly stars
Shine through the night
I am the author , I the poet
That eats lives and sleeps poetry
In a dream too
Breath - breathing words
I share the light!
