Nobody Understands

f l i c k e r i n g f l a m e s guide upon fragile pretences. Wax d r i p s like heavy t e a r s suppressed for years and.... I tried, yet they never seemed to understand. So... I remained misunderstood by ignorant minds I guess I became lost m i s g u i d e d. Yet, I remained on that path, maybe, to be accepted. They forget, even saints have sinned. I did not need to be fixed nor cured, i was not diseased, i was not dying. My mind saw in clear definition Yet the heart was still... A little torn. It was you - them, all of you. Those who never showed me the way nor any faith. So, I remained always at the start. Each time I took one step forward, in the end I just went back and... Even though I was there none of you saw me. Silence became my friend, The heart did beat, but it f e l l upon deaf ears. I was fragile, but you were intoxicated, floating within ignorant intimacy, like butterflies full of lust but... They still came took what they wanted and left. Even you could not see how your polluted perfume was choking me. When I showed you the whole of the moon, you disagreed and said, it was just a crescent. Again you failed to see what was hidden behind the clouds - which masked the truth. As the horizons diversify and the stars begin to fade, the day will come, when I am gone. Some may cry - most will smile. As you stumble upon my words and the ink reels of blood portray my life, maybe then, as the sun is dying - someone may finally understand.

I'm loving this write and the trouble you went to formatting the candle effects. I'm thinking that no matter what happens in terms of our reception of our existence on this speck of a planet, at least we are our own person while we are here. After that...I am not expecting anything or any consideration.

Essence of your theme so brilliantly delivered, SO. This is work of art in brushstrokes of deep feelings: Flame flickers--wax dips--tears suppressed--Silence became my friend-- A plea for understanding resonates throughout, my friend.

I for one love your formatting. It brings drip to your soliloquy. You wear it fine. If it's any worth when your words are gone, I will be one of the many who will cry. I and many of your followers see the whole of the moon when many see just a crescent. Keep on intoxicating us with your words.

A deep, exquisitely penned poem, Silent One. Usually I don’t like these unorthodox wiggles on poems but it was so apt, absolutely perfect for this one! I agree that subtler layers and nuances of heart and soul flutters go unrecognised but God within is feeling each tremor, believe me!

Dear Silent One, the depth and breadth of your expressive verse is profound in its creative magic. Emotions saturate the poetic page in shades of blue and gray, melancholy and despair, and black, the realm of being unseen, unheard, misunderstood. I was especially moved by "When I showed you/the whole of the moon,/you disagreed and said,/it was just a crescent./Again you failed to see/what was hidden/behind the clouds" -potent! I understand.. Exquisite and heartrending verse that lingers on the mind. Warmest wishes my inspiring friend.. ~Susan

A FAV, although it seems not enough. In such a creative manner, you allow us to see the emotions of words as your message is springled along. It took years to live, and the pain felt long and wrong. We all deserve to be understood, humanity needs a code key to see through the illusion of the human mind. Love is the common denominator, if we Love we have an opportunity to understand others. It seems to me that real understanding comes from like experiences, both painful and blissful. Bill

this poem is poignant and creative in both rhyme and shape. It was truly captivating in that you captured the loneliness and struggle of feeling misunderstood. These words said it all: As you stumble u pon my words and the ink reels of blood portray my life, maybe then, as the sun is dying - someone may finally understand. Perhaps we all cling to the hope of one day finally being understood. Another brilliant creation, Silent One. You're in a category all by yourself...and that's awesome.

Speaking and drawing in rhyme. Your words make me guilty, did I miss something. Was there a message directly for me. Another interesting and deep poem. Of course I am never sure if its artistic display of past hurts and pain, or a real to this day thought. Just an FYI ... I log in and come check out what others have posted and you are always top of that list.

Dearest Silent One Wow, Your words develop a picture of the loneliness and frustration that can come from feeling misunderstood by those around us. You beautifully capture the struggle. I truly admire your resilience in remaining true to yourself despite the ignorance and lack of understanding from others. Your refusal to be labeled is a powerful statement of self-acceptance and strength. Someday, someone will finally comprehend the depth of your feelings and experiences. - Blessings, Daniel

What a creative verse this is! Dear silent one. You are a trendsetter! Youv made this a thing, letters floating! Ah now im inspired! And i must say! This is a deeply moving poem. And sometimes silence is the bestest confidant when all is but dreary and blind to the truth. Sometimes yes some refuse to believe or see what we show, especially in toxic situations, its like communicating with walls. I felt that as you conveyed that in the most creative manner in your last lines here. I love how youv
