It occurred to me
I think more and more like a poet
Thoughts jumbled with imagery
Off in my own colourful world
Small wonder there’s a disconnect
With dusty musty pencil pushers
People whose minds have shrivelled up
Have trouble seeing art and beauty for what they are
Gifts from above

I can’t relate...

The 24 By 7 Disconnect
While attending a social do
You meet and greet others
It’s more a social norm
Than any ‘real’ connect
As you attend to calls
Or get yourself updated with ‘Updates’
Or simply fiddle with your phone
And mind you
You are not alone
Almost everyone is doing the same
Some listless bites of conversation
While chomping...

Disconnect
A high school reunion on Zoom;
Alumni all home in a room.
Each face that I’ll see
Like a stranger to me
As I will be to them, I assume.

I haven’t seen most now for years.
We’ve traveled in different spheres.
So then why should I care
What I look like or...

Premium Member I Thee Am a Component Therefore of Intrinsic Outhouse Disconnect
Watch me walk through the sadsands of stupored time
trading youth for aged ashes, suredness for shyness
knowledge for retirement, candor for cowardice,
diligence for dunceness, eagerness for
edginess, fairness for flakiness, goodness for gonadness,
healing for hurting, idealism for idiocracy,
judgement for jealously, kandor for killing,
loving for...

Disconnect
stars hang above
suspended like so many
sick children – distant
in other countries

look up, look down
how to ever know them?
this is all old news
faces and light, trapped
in separate frames

images still travel,
are understood as physical
wonder when the day will be
to reach out, reach them
before they burn out....

Disconnect
I’m sick of the disconnect between me and you,
Complacency, fear, and the pettiness too.
Long gone are the times when we’d help, not complain,
And not for the reason of personal gain.

But today it is all about what you can get back,
Some don’t care who they hurt,...

Connected To the Disconnect
Grim grabs hold the spring
strangling with a fervor
as I grasp for another breath
drugged and dragged
six feet deep below

Infected, I'm connected
to the disconnect
the treacherous and mundane
a world's gone insane

Astray, I wander in the wonders
of an ever...

EYE DISCONNECT

i’ve always been drawn
to eyes — a smorgasbord of colors
but that’s not what i see
i drift beyond what most can tap into

the shroud of evidence
the red rivers
a canal lock

bulging, ready to burst
the big bang
the upsurge of rage
shocking severance

the world in ethereal mist
the feel of...

Grave Disconnect
I inhale vapors spiced by Aurora’s deep tang and her sweet, rose kiss,
on such nameless mornings all my ghosts combine,
folding into neatly pressed layers of gossamer sheets
offering the refuge of a cocoon before a world that stares.
I stare back…

Deep within the ruins of my crumbling...

Sweet Sweet Disconnect
when
scientology has
deemed you an
enemy for being
antisocial, for
being a POTENTIAL
TROUBLE
SOURCE (PTS), for
getting in the way
of the
BRIDGE TO TOTAL
FREEDOM for
others---you are now
a suppressive person (SP),
you bring the whole
bloody cult down, don’t
ya know you got to
stop making all those
that drop their...

Disconnect the Connection
There was a tear in the laughter,
Unwelcome and intruding,
Muffled under the big booming sound,
As she laughed her way through the tears.

The clouds were all white,
Like a bed of soft cotton in her sky,
She felt she could lay up there and fall asleep.
But at the fringes...

The Disconnect
***********What is a disconnect?********

         - When -
 We spend....
More Money defending
              Our people,
Than We do feeding
      Them, then....

Strings of Disconnect
Soft Red hair decorates skin so fair
Sad brown eyes never tell lies
Secret smiles linger for a while
Kisses and pearls from oriental girls and little brown curls

Peaches and passion never out of fashion
Midnight dreams soft with cherries and cream
Windless kites sailing through...

Auto Disconnect
Suddenly auto-disconnect entered
-	Like a mechanical mal-function
All too soon, I felt smothered
-	System shut down at this junction

This train is moving too fast
-	I keep applying the brakes
But I know this can’t last
-	I don’t have what it takes

Though I’m feeling slightly derailed
-	Tied to previous emotions
My heart left the...

Disconnect
There's a big disconnect
one that we can't seem to perfect
It ain't gotta be perfect
I just want this to have purpose
they say whatever you want to grow
make sure you keep it watered
but I gotta say, these issues we have
still...
