Best Diffused Poems
I dream poetry;
I breathe poetry, for poetry
calls your name, feeling your
inerrant essentia—
your soul bleeds into mine—
a collision of cosmos,
diffused magnetically, once
a vagrant in a haze of miasmic
vapors—wildered and exposed—
you unshackled me from
this purgatory;
inversely immersing me in
your sphere of solace, and
blooming artistry,
lulling the vast polarities
splintering each layer of my veracity.
I dream poetry,
for your love drizzles
burgeoning constellations, amid
rosette sepals galvanizing my
orphic nuclei, with
every spark we sigh,
tethered to the infinite composition
of our unwavering love compellingly,
beyond heaven and earth,
devoted to you—
your fallen star; no longer silent, circling
nocturne arias entwining our destiny.

One evening, gazing into the endless expanse,
Lured by its mystery, I sat engrossed in thoughts.
The world around me seemed to fade and all I knew I was buoyed up.
I was traveling through inter galactic space on a space odyssey,
With my friend, well equipped with space suits and sturdy helmets.
I slipped out of reality and how swift our lightning Sputnik,
Out running the speed of sound and light shot into space with a violent jerk.
At a distance were luminous spheres, suspended like glowing lanterns.
Comets and meteors in hyperspace seemed more like diffused designs.
Down, I saw Mother Earth, a luminous ball, not bigger than a sapphire dot.
Earth, with all its mammoth structures shrunk in seconds before my eyes.
Knew I was millions of leagues up in the sky and feeling dizzy, I looked away.
The star-spangled sky seemed more like blue chiffon stitched with silver sequins.
Oh! How quickly we landed on Mars, so different from what I had learnt.
Neither a barren belt of sterile terrain, nor a rugged stretch of craters burnt,
But a heavenly place, cool and serene full of scintillating and ravishing sights.
We, from a faraway land were warmly received by a team of alien sprites.
Our body weight was suddenly lifted, and we bounced up and down in ether,
Losing in the magic and bliss of that Zion, wondering if it was chimera or truth,
Reality pulled me down headlong and I woke up suddenly from a pleasant dream!

Like fingers, lovely birch tree shadows play
on virgin snow like hands upon a sheet;
so bright the moon, it seems like light of day,
yet stars among the forest's members peek.
And ... while my love lies pleasantly at rest,
I dream awake and contemplate my muse,
enraptured by this scene on winter's breast,
where thoughts are drawn and peacefully diffused
.
So now, I look upon the face of time
and all my years of life become but one.
In timelessness I feel my spirits climb,
where thoughts of love and life can laugh and run.
Now I am left at peace and free to be
There lost within the moon's tranquility.

"Human mind knows no constraints. Without spending time or money, one can make an odyssey into the outer space and even into other planets. What is needed is the fuel of imagination." - By Poet
Outside, the night was gathering strength
How swift our lightning Sputnik,
Out running the speed of sound and light
Shot into space with a violent jerk, leaving us psychotic.
At a distance were luminous spheres
Suspended like glowing lanterns
Comets and meteors in hyper space
Seemed more like diffused patterns
An asteroid came whizzing towards us.
I closed my eyes in dreadful shock,
Fearing a terrible head on collision.
Thank God! It deviated from our track!
I looked at my friend seated beside
Obviously not here, lost in thought!
Looking down, I saw Mother Earth
A luminous ball, not bigger than a sapphire dot
Oh! How quickly we landed on Mars
It is so different from what I had learnt
Neither a barren belt of sterile terrain
Nor a rugged stretch of craters burnt
But a heavenly place so cool and serene
Full of scintillating scenes and ravishing sights
We, the emissaries from a far away land
Were warmly received by a team of alien sprites
The weight of the world suddenly lifted from us
We bounced up and down almost floating in the air
Found ourselves in a gorgeous garden
With springing fountains and blossoms fair
Trees were laden with dazzling gems
Lagoons and lakes of liquid silver
Vast expanse of tawny vistas
Plains waving with luxuriant verdure
What fun…! Hmm…over there,
Nothing like those seen on planet Earth
A herd of animals so strange and rare
Grazing on red grass in a canyon of great width
Our restless eyes scanning all around,
We accelerated our pace in rising delight.
As we were eager to explore every bit of ground,
We moved forward with enthusiastic gait.
Sudden was the sound I heard behind
And saw my mother standing near
Puzzled and confused as I looked around
In my ears her voice fell ringing clear-
“You lazy one, know this is exam time”
Rough and curt was her angry tirade.
“Again you can’t play a dumb mime”
Her words made my afternoon reverie suddenly fade
I saw my open book sneering at me
And my uncovered syllabus, a vast sea

Twilight Time
Soft twilight time can paint day's end-
a tranquil sky, diffused in blue
with sapphire-melon colored inks.
What added loveliness is shared
when doubled in the mirrored lake-
while sun beneath horizon sinks.
The night grows still as sky gleams on-
such peacefulness in this grandeur,
as silence soothes the weary soul.
This glimpse of nature spreads its calm;
as shadows dance with the cool breeze-
our long and tiring day, console.
Dark tree limbs frame this work of art,
like loving arms that brace the glow.
Eve's twilight-time- unlike the dawn-
Which starts the day- twilight brings night;
both on their stage- scenes set apart.
To twilight's charm, day's thoughts are drawn.

Unyielding stone, the furniture
au naturel, no dress lace tablecloth
concealing ants scavenging our picnic lunch. Loathe
are we to flick them while they steal our cheese and crackers.
Siblings ensconced, diffused canopy of oak
umbrellas, searing sun bewitches charming shadows;
clover, petals three and sometimes four, meadows
pleasant carpets cradling this resolute rock.
These stones echo cries reverberating past
more than a century's memorializing years
when other siblings set swords upon this grave frontier
in armies blue and gray amassed.
Immortal the crashing clash, bone against bone,
at Gettysburg to keep this nation one.

Aware; instincts suffused
A feeling I've known
Complete; never diffused
Before birth twas sown
Before planets aligned
time had bound our hearts
Moulded, deepened, refined
Fused; no end no start
Evolved beyond lifetimes
Years measured in blinks
Eons blending nightimes
Eternity shrinks
Others wanting taboo
answers to life's "why's"
Myself? Without question
...it lay in your eyes

Sweet twilight time, end of the day,
when sun below horizon sinks
with tranquil sky diffused in gray
and sapphire-melon colored inks.
What peacefulness in your grandeur
when doubled in the mirrored lake
with ripples that give sparks to your
reflection in its gentle wake.
Dark tree limbs frame your work of art
like loving arms that brace your glow,
just like a stage scene set apart,
enjoyed before the nighttime show.
Sweet twilight time you contrast dawn-
she starts the day, you prelude night;
within your charm, our thoughts are drawn-
reflected in your calm delight.

There was a painting offered as inspiration for this contest. I'm sorry I'm not able to include it for lack of a premium membership, but I hope I've managed, just a little, to set the scene with imagery.
Moonlight was diffused by a shadowed sky
Thunder hammered with the power of Thor
Sullen clouds released a deluge in downpour
Something about the night had gone awry
There was a flash of lightning; a blaring scream
With heart wrenching sobs, a woman wept
Her raven tresses billowed, wild and windswept
She appeared before me as a specter in a dream
I hesitated to call out, in fear she'd run away
but I could not ignore another mournful wail
Her arms were thin and she was ghostly pale
She shivered, trembled, and began to sway
She was frightened as though chased by death
Words were mumbled, but none of them clear
Her eyes searched the night, panicked with fear
I spoke calmly until she regained her breath
Her last memory was that she had gone to bed
and was having a nightmare about being stalked
Quite a distance from her home, she had walked
when lightning's crackle woke her from dread
I helped her home, sidestepping puddles of mud
She still trembled, not interested in conversation
She thanked me, but I had a moment of hesitation...
The porch light revealed she was covered in blood

She is the sylphic stream
and the flow spinning
her sequined sarong
through gleaming fields
as she weaves
endless reveries
nebulous and lithe
ripples leaves
with her rhythmic
untamed grace
omnipresent and fluid
diffused in ambience
joyful teasing
pulse that
glitters in
silver stars
she is the
sanguine song
that lights
a doting heart

They wondered where the sunshine had all gone,
and gentle breezes warming spring's array;
the hues of pink that greeted breaking dawn,
and children’s laughter lighting up the day.
The darkness loomed; uneasy feelings spread
as clouds of war diffused across the land,
and somehow knowing what was faced ahead,
the Europeans braced for strife at hand.
The Nazi War Machine their muscles flexed;
their Panzer units massed at Poland’s edge
thus leaving nations of the world perplexed
at German conquest as reports allege.
And thus the world was plunged into the war
as Europe fell into the dark once more.

Sonnet
I have watched winds fade away, her foot marks in the sand
Watched, as the sight of her got swallowed in a distance
Her last words still echo like a loud whisper in my mind
Last words whose meaning is difficult to find
“Good” and “bye” should never bond
It’s full of bad, its sound and its tone
Kisses and hugs are for a moment
But their absence is a great torment
Love craves for a lifetime and beyond
Love prays for a lifetime till all recitations are gone
Good and bye cannot be friends
There is no good which means an end
Apart and away, who will watch me like her eyes did
Apart and away, who will touch me like her hands did
Apart and away, who will call me like her voice did
Apart and away, who will know me like mind did
Tides of tears flow in the cracks of my heart
Memories and fears fill up the emptiness inside
Promises and dreams are like a dim light
Suffocated like loneliness in the darkest night
Building inside me were melodies and words
That shot out and diffused in the air
They floated around, lost like flightless birds
They search for flowers and found them nowhere
Surrounding me are walls with no photogragh to hang on
An audience to a show without an act or a song
A stroll without a companion
A call with no ears to fall on
Tracks of love, tracks of her
Tracks of love, marks of her
Foot marks of love, is all I see when I stare
Foot marks of love, that lead me to nowhere

Ballad
( after Sachida's after the war)
There will be war, in fact, there have always been wars,
and will continue.
Wars satisfy us.
Our nasty muscles move in festive workouts,
when there is war; in hearts, minds and on tongues.
We suffer from cerebral indigestion, when deprived of
wars.
The other day, the day after his son's birthday celebrations,
with exploding music and drunken noise, which lasted
till wee hours of the night, my neighbor, somehow,
managed to transfer his frustrations upon me by littering
my backyard lawn with empty beer cans; probably
thrown over the barbed wire fence, by reveling guests
of his punk-offspring.
My dog, Snow, barked at the strange garbage with unsual
agitation.
It sensed an arrogant invasion on its fond green grass.
I too was gravely provoked and felt the need to wage
a war.
Thus, I skipped breakfast and waited for his emergence,
pacing on my courtyard in furious strides while my eyes remained glued to his front door, all throughout that sunny winter morning.
What followed next, I choose not to reproduce.
It was a war, of words, we prefer not to engage in
front of the children.
Ants crossed borders, everyday, in their tiny lifetimes.
But wage no war with termites, earthworms and roots.
They simply tolerate each other's organic aspirations.
Why do we have this genetic longings of counting corpses,
fallen chariots and diffused bombs.
Even as the good books cry for love and peace, while their
revered middlemen conspire with rulers and falsify faiths,
we are eternally charged for wars, until
nothingness will prevail in memories of ruins and ashes,
where poetry will lament with silent screams.

Can the day ever be seen,
Where we respect differences among us all?
Or must our obedience to an
Angry God, force a hand to build a wall?
If morality is justly placed, the
Spread of power must be even and diffused.
Where all are given parity, and the
Truth will be observed, not refused.
Because when we open our eyes and mind,
The roots of chaos are sown buried and deep.
While they strangle the harvest of humanity,
Without a season so it will never sleep.
This issue can be seen globally,
Traversing time and continents with its reach.
Yet the conclusion has created a divide,
With a corrupt answer leftover to teach.
And while mankind seeks a lawful remedy,
With a color spectrum filtered by black and white.
Hope and faith may survive a universal
Reality, that's forever present between wrong and right.

As the storm clouds of unforeseen gloom hover low
with the shattered sky’s diffused light of uncertain future,
I gift my soul sinking within the abyss of dire darkness,
glints of lingering hope from the cornucopia of nature.
The symphony of spring cascades in the cadence of air,
in the orchestra of zephyr its mesmeric melody I hear.
On sunburst sky turning to argosy of splintered ember
the flotilla of chromatic clouds makes flaming furrows.
As the mystic mist melts on the dew of the meadow,
the blushing blades of grass adorn the crystal crown.
From the canvas of sapphire spread on the pellucid sky,
drizzles the patina of ebullience on the rustling leaves.
The flushing fresco of flowers the bursting buds unfurl,
designing the tapestry of grandeur on beguiling garden.
The flitting butterfly swarm creates collage of spectrum,
serene scenes of sublime beauty brighten somber times.
