Best Dew Poems
The worldliness within the sphere
reflecting morning light,
as poignant as a single tear
idea bright is crystal clear
and frames the heavens in her sight
though soft the fall through night.
Settled 'pon a leaf flirtation
awakens dreamy mist,
sow the sweetest need sensation
clings a kiss in wild elation,
and though short-lived the earthy tryst
a reason to exist.
But rendezvous a bitter binge
though gentle loves cajole,
for soon the feel of daystar’s singe
O lifting dew from leafy fringe
no matter of the kiss they stole
the cosmos in her soul.
Deep the tender-hearted flower
whose muse elusive dew,
look how she shines this golden hour
evanescence is her power
as rays do make such moments few
alas, the mourners coo.

When twilight's spectral fingers fold
Sweet blossoms of every hue;
Some half opened bud will hold
Its pearls of evening dew.
Touched with every sunshine hour
The eternal earth has shown
All the perfume of the flower
Till it finally becomes its own.
We that wait may never find
A chance to sing our praise;
For memories we seek to bind
Take the scent of fading days.
The poet who has never spent
His words in futile strain;
For him the misty dewdrops lent
Their diamonds to the rain.
Unfastened in their fragrant bell
They tell their own dear tale;
Then from the cloud from which they fell
Their haunting scents exhale.

Morning dew melodies whispering soft,
harmonies dream on the wind
Scented illusions of days in the past
and those about to begin
Choruses blooming in amethyst shades,
sweet as the day’s precious glow
Penned in the key of to never forget,
symphonic breezes a’ flow
Beneath a sunrise of violin vistas
precious this garden of song
Petals in piccolo solos are beaming
hoping you will sing along
Listen as marigold arias play
now as the day it does start
Find every note is performed just for you
composed by the love in my heart

Whiskey Lips So Sublime
Whiskey Lips step now over the line of true fire-water,
As a warm-burning brings forward one glowing sign.
The golden mead of sweet mountain dew appears now,
As each golden drop sighs it moment of escape and as
The alcohol signals and sparks the wildest of spirits in
One’s own true self!
This moment of sublime ecstasy excites and sparks your
Deepest inner-spirit and you begin to slur and sing loudly,
As your mind begins to reel from the drunken delight of
Your very own intoxicating breaths—noble, yet stupid,
As you become drunken forever under each psychic sip
You taketh from the deepest pool in the very depths of
Your eternal soul!
Your very eyes now glaze over a breathless message
You have found in the cheapest of whiskey bottles.
Saying a divine prayer to Almighty God Himself,
You open the bottle cork now and take notice that a
Little genie pops out of nowhere and begins to take all
Three of your mythic wishes granted together into one!
With that, this little genie shall begin dancing and singing
An ancient Irish whiskey song in your presence into the
Wee hours of the morning until you both pass out and fall
Into a drunken stupor with your whiskey lips so sublime!

Dew, to Dawn, to Dusk, to Dust: (pause)
A sacred cycle turns while love endures.
At dawn's first light for I am beside you.
Where my soul finds peace and rest
In your presence there are fears, like fallen leaves.
Are truly comforted and blessed.
Within your eternal heart,
My love's fervent quest finds its crest;
My Love, you are a blossom kissed -
by morning's dew.
Your grace is conveyed to many
each passing day.
Your smile is a sunrise chasing
nightmares away.
Your smile dispells shadows where darkness...
once held sway.
You color the silence with gentle care on
this our special day!
For in your kind eyes I do see
a love that forever reflects.
Refrain: With every single touch as our love story unfolds,
Through God-given years our tender care enfolds.
Your hand in mine as the promise that endures
A love that deepens like a softly spoken prayer.
Even when wrinkles trace their stories on our skin,
Our love’s fair flame shall never dim,
Our bond unbroken, a love we’ll always bear.
Through trials faced with faith as our guiding star,
Your spirit burns. A beacon ever steadfast and true.
For together we will walk on wings of hope as one. /
How firm our foundation, forever fresh and
forever blessed.
Within your arms your are my haven-
where peace sees me through.
Refrain: A vow so silent and holy blossoms in the hush
of daybreak's kiss.
For you are my lifetime and each moment a sacred bliss.
Your laughter's song such a melody as sweet.
As birdsong at dawn that chases doubt away. (pause)
With you my world is a Flourishing Garden.
You a love so pure that lights up
each and every day.
With every beat of my heart... slow murmurs:
"You're my beautiful and my cherished wife," (pause)
"forever true."
I know that when twilight writes
its final fading verse.
And earthly treasures crumble to dust.
Our love is a promise unwavering,
An eternal bond,
for in faith we always trust.
Hand in hand, heavensward, ascending.
Morning Dew
Does no one hear depth of this darkness
Of it's presence within our mist
So heavy it rains on the Glory of life
We choose to let it be
Not to see
Words of choice
To hide it from display
It will grow
From seed
To plant
To tree
It's roots of hate have already captured some
I thought these souls were safe from harm
But now they have joined and seem bound to the roots that have entangled them
No where
To run
To hide
The daylight grows darker daily as it struggles to survive
How can mankind repeat these atrocities over an over
Justifying their hate in any form
We have learned nothing
For our young we create the gift
Of hope
Of love
So wondrous in the morning dew
Why have we chosen again and again to Let the darkness rule our days.....
The lake is a plate of evening blue
Here where mists of dew sprinkle the view
Under lilting skies the undulating sea
Stretches far beyond infinity
Silent and calm, no hint of green
Smooth as silk with translucent sheen
Rippling blue as far as fingers can see
Yet when the moon’s luminosity
Fondles the surface where the wavelets flow
Twinkling jewels are dew-pearls’ glow
To easels of moonbeams on a crystal sea
How incredibly beautiful this vignette can be...

Once under the rubber moon,
elves wore pointed hats.
And I, a traveler from another star
wrote my resume.
It said,
"This is my resume
wherein I write without a rhyme.
Trust me or not,
it is the same".
Why should I be seeking work
at this late hour?
It is enough to drain away
the years,
to fabricate lies to sew upon my pillow.
Every turn of the road
in this wasteland
reveals a scorching desert,
with no monument in the sand.
Somewhere soon,
during a glad month,
there will be a rose in the desert,
a monument in the sand.
And the air will be filled
with sweetness.
And all who see
will want to taste the dew
upon the rose.
When velvet night is soaked in dew
along bright rims of starlit thread,
prayers chime a tune in revue
away from hours of black and dread.
Along bright rims of starlit thread,
the fragrant winds blow chamomile,
away from hours of black and dread
to greet dawn’s flute with lambent feel.
The fragrant winds blow chamomile,
leaves draping the knolls in full hum,
to greet morn’s flute with lambent feel
as heart ripples while dusk succumbs.
Leaves draping the knolls in full hum
prayers chime a tune in revue,
as heart ripples while dusk succumbs
when velvet night is soaked in dew.

Tiny circles form
On the edge of leaves sit
On caladiums
Water directed
By God to provide moisture
To small living things
When morning dew holds moonlight’s shine
It’s glistened blush as night declines
Unveiled by daybreaks grand display
As breeze blows soft, a shimmered sway
Clear lunar nights are brushed sublime
When morning dew holds moonlight’s shine
All objects basking in its glow
Gleam with a textured, raised plateau
From deep within the moon’s soft beam
A gentle kiss to daylight’s stream
When morning dew holds moonlight’s shine
It sings like night and day combined
That sparkled glint on morning’s brow
A diamond’s hue the moon’s endowed
Can reach your heart when eyes inclined
When morning dew holds moonlight’s shine
.
Purple Aster morn
Dew kisses soft moves slowly on

The Dew Ball
Early in the morning I rise and make a cup of tea,
The windows are covered with dew, nothing I can see.
I step onto my deck to let my dog have a run outside,
There’s a gallery of art exhibits awaiting for me to imbibe.
Spiderwebs painted with dew dressed in shimmering glass,
Droplets glisten on petals, at this moment beauty is on mass.
Water hangs tenuously from the tips of cacti standing tall,
Harmony of colour serenades my soul, it’s my morning dew ball,
Within a short time my ball starts to disappear from sight,
The sun rises higher and the yard slowly loses it’s delight.
Like Cinderella and her glass slipper, only a few traces remain,
I close my door, retreat inside, if lucky tomorrow I’ll see the same.

“How Due You Dew”
Won 5th Place
There is nothing left of life
that death cannot resolve,
times velocity spins on stolen lips
and minute pieces of adamantine
pierce the edge of soles
worn with pain
----
Right here,
Where night and dawn merge
the membrane strains
cleaving, as shade blackens blue
for mere milli seconds
Standing in the hollows of night
still, watching forever shimmering
in the shadowed corner of my eye,
I, me, always a curious creature
swallow bricks and mortar
tasting truth
In my head an orchestra plays
the symphonies composed of my life
strings wring my heart with melodies
wrought in pain and self-loathing
shame and eventual surrender
to the beat
But,
in the beauty of renewal
in the peace of your reflections
I've wondered at the universe
memorizing the mysteries unsolved
ever tantalized neurons smashed
awakening ever and over again
Sleep has been a foreign land
settled by the fortunate
longed for by the tortured
spirits of my mind
Yet in these dark magnificent galaxies
when snores softly sigh in peace
or monsters haunt your dreams,
I have watched millennia of mourning
shatter the promise of darkness evermore,
I wondered as sunshine held a drop of dew
and as light of hope captured the ghosts of night
banishing them forevermore, or until nights edge
I am a watcher and a teller of tales
Singer of forbidden songs and tragedy,
downtrodden, I rose to fight again and again
with a schizophrenic mind harnessed
within the beauty of a single star
and the promise of humanity
in the kindness of a strangers touch
Now at the end of all journeys
my final battle lays in that
which I know not, shackled
that foreign land whisks me away
again and again, dreams cease
as moisture rolls from my brow
---
Slowly, slowly, slowly
winding down into nothingness
Gently, gently, gently
I will lay down your cries of grief
My words aren’t never-ending
my breath will someday cease
Yet true beauty and wonder lies
in the wondrous infinity of peace
just look into these eyes overflowing with pain
know !! there will be an end, even that shall ease ...
Silky shadow
Reminiscent of a rivers flow
Delicious streams
Voyage into desire
Dulcet wind playing the dew of love
