Best Deterrence Poems
A sadness appears
on the face of a nation
as tears fall like rivers a’flow
Midst rubble and death
with dreams slowly shattered,
where blood coats the fields draped in snow
So gallant they stand
to the war machine charging,
a serpent of heartless desire
Their bravery shines
like the flames unrelenting,
their world inundated with fire
A leader’s decree,
there shall be no surrender,
our lives will remain on this ground
Till peace be our prize,
with defeat not an option,
eternal this courage is found
A formidable foe,
bearing breath of a dragon,
deterrence shall not be thy gain
With strength one and all,
we shall battle this demon
for we are as one, oh Ukraine

Verse
Soon everything we know will rapidly be changed
Into an unfamiliar landscape and a worldwide shooting range
Guns pointing in every direction and at every town
No inspections will be allowed and best not show a frown
Orwellian decrees are issued, as government is a fail
False leaders arise; resorting to trickery and blackmail
Threat of war becoming constant with each passing day
Hot weather rapidly increasing evaporating countless lakes and bays
Electromagnetic pulse use likely; these weapons we do store
Thoughts no longer of deterrence, but of all out war
In a flash, atomic weapons destroy all that we have and stand for
Man still is searching for an out, but there is no escape door
Extreme earthquakes continue shaking the earth down to its core
Sadly, all of this must occur; to allow true peace to return once more

With a little bit of inspiration
I encourage you
To expand your imagination
Because this will allow you
to broaden your horizons
So that you can explore without limitations
Because it will give you the opportunity to
do
everything that you have ever wanted to do
And that includes doing things that you have never
done before by avoiding the deterrence of hesitation

I aspire for a flight of magnificence
though the words at times reek of innocence.
Yet striving to create a renaissance
in form which will not require penitence.
I boast of overcoming pestilence
in manipulating verbal reticence
to overcome loathing of quiescence,
which in a sense is the essence
of any poem of mental brilliance.
Aspiring to poems that soar in evanescence,
a luminescence of fluorescence in abundance.
The presence of acquiescence a deterrence
to obsolescence of obeisance in appearance.
The absence of pseudo credence and conformance
to the quintessence of acceptance of senescence,
in poetry, assures defiance of decadence,
and a deterrence of annoyance in articulence.
Yet the arrogance of old heads holds coalescence,
the decidence of some form’s discontinuance.
The annoyance and inconvenience of their defiance,
keeps their belligerence in convalescence.
Their exaserbescence akin to adolescence
in nature, they think obstinance is a virtuence.

Lying to myself,
I am determined and strong.
I’ve got to think clearly,
But I know I was wrong.
When the pain subsides,
It comes back in force.
I’ve got to see the future,
Let fate take its course.
Hearing your voice,
Is a bittersweet occurrence.
A sadness grips at me,
A tightly wound deterrence.
I’m caught looking to both,
A bright future and a misguided past.
Torn between times,
I don’t know how long this will last.
Memories come flooding,
Followed by imaginary thought.
Some good and some bad,
But will it all come for naught?
Remaining optimistic,
At least a portion of my day.
Reverting to pessimistic,
No matter what I can say.
I’ve no reason to doubt,
All the things she says true.
An animosity’s touch,
Keeping me from you.
I’ll see you soon,
How will it go?
I love you to the moon,
But this you already know.
I hope to see you smile,
I hope to see a sparkle in your eyes.
I hope there’s an ignition,
So our fire never dies.
What’s left is some embers,
With a hope of tomorrow.
I hope I’m not too late,
Able to cast away sorrow.
I know all my misgiving,
My past unfortunately true.
Though I’ve got to keep living,
Hopefully one day I’ll have you.

When life is full of ruefulness
You should turn the other cheek
Let go of whatever has gone wrong
And try not to be weak.
When life is full of tribulations
Please don't give up on hope
Put aside your frustration
And find a way to cope.
When life is full of deterrence
Don't listen to what you are told
Disregard your fear and anxiety
And take a chance at being bold.

I am nothing and I am common
Does doing something new means a difference?
Becoming well known and uncommon
Perhaps an only lifetime were meant for deterrence
If we climb we will fall
No going about any other way
Why do we ask for more?
Is it because... we cannot find the way?
We listen and we try to follow
Are we not listening to oneself hard enough?
If we're listening... why isn't the bad we borrow?
Is it cause the good in us all will people laugh?
I will not run... I will confront
I will not hide... I will dispose
Living means only... never done
Trying only means... never close
Have I done something to make a difference?
When I did... do I become uncommon?
Is there a whole world to make that interference?
When nothing I am... only to be common

If it were to be foe, I could bear it; He was my friend;
Why should he betray me? In public that too; at the end;
I kept him aside like a bone separated from meat,
Avoided the rarest of places where our shadows might meet...!
Public bus burning case of nineteen seventy seven,
Had peculiar facts and fancies fermenting like leaven;
My sister and brother-in-law had engulfed by fire,
Leaving their only son survived of all dangers dead-dire...!
Those survived, like the escapees of great Titanic wreck,
Claimed for compensations; wherein my nephew, little speck;
With me, as his advocate sought his mother's ornaments,
To give him as right of inheritance and sentiments...!
My friend, defendant, established as though it's an urchin's,
No doubt, our relation, like drought-cracked earth, got deterrence;
I worked hard to look-after my nephew; to make him great,
He's an entrepreneur now; I felt, I had won my fate...!
I wanted to know, why my friend did it for me; for what?
You are always for your nephew - he said- who is for that...
Friendship should be understood as loving service he said,
I understood; cried and embraced him; all differences shred...!
Could I call this forgiveness, yet? No. This, indeed, is love.
Has loving my friend, any limit? Love comes from above;
Giving and taking and supposed agape has its limit,
Doesn't forgiveness of less forgiven cross all summit...?

A Tribal Tricolour President
Welcome Lady President of hills
Unknown to world; till other day
Miracles happen in a flash
Just as Draupadi in Mahabharat
Madam Draupadi enters Raisina hills
Leaving tribal land to adorn a royal
Throne in Rashtrapathi Bhavan
Reserved for First Citizen of India
Dedication and noble services
Is all she needed; to be airborne
Conviction with determination
Put her flight right on the Milky Way
Challenges, tragedies, hardships
Deterrence: none a set back
Sincerity, simplicity to the core
Only service to community held
Background didn’t matter;
Neither skin, nor colour nor race
The wicked folks did despise her
But patriots all put their hands up
She was picked by a Shepherd PM
And murmurs happened aplenty
Yet Murmu was peoples choice
And rest is all history now!
Across a nation of divine beliefs
She meant a lot to her tribe; yet
Her country needs her most
To make all traitors shy away
The First Lady is calm, collected
Full of promise and intellect
With fair and firm reflections
Imposing, confident and loving
A lady as Supreme Commander
Meteoric is her rise to fame
Big, brave and beautiful as ever
Her journey was that of Comet!

Between each heart beat
Lies a reason
For any man
To commit to treason..
Any random thought
Without deterrence
Is a scandal brought
On by its occurrence
A fatal flaw
Born of consequences
With such a draw
That it numbs the senses
Momentary gain
Without direction
Will just end in pain
Even with correction
Take heed to warn
What is not fore mentioned
By the honest caught
In this web of tension
Keep your proudest moment
With such proration
That the modest own it
With such inspiration

Limerick
I was born from silence
Beset compliance
I grew from violence
A whispered defiance
No more betrayal
No more assumption
Our fear has failed
But in destruction
Take a look at what you must become
The search for satisfaction is also loading the gun
Another look at what we have all done
Birthing destruction was our saviour’s son
The devil will lie
Our god must stand by
The light will save us
The sacrifices of the black sky
Fear breeds deterrence
But the truth breathes recurrence
And whilst our world spins
Destruction will break the silence
One more look at what we try to forget
Burying pain by torturing the sunset
When we look before we are laid to rest
We will see that creation is what we all detest
