- I'm Not A Kitty Cat -

                                        Frozen ornaments
                                         with fierce tears
                                     Swallowing the lie raw
                                        Life's fake comedy
                                  discomfort and deterrence
                                   Prefer the stories - grisly

Anne-Lise, the picture is quite striking. The poem covers a lot of different things that I can relate to. Glad it's short so we don't suffer too much while reading. It's a great contrast to pleasantry!! Smiles!

We have stray cats who have been visiting our back yard. I set out food. water and warm places for them, I know one of the cats seems never to leave and now considers this his home, but no matter how I wish to have him come inside, he refuses. I call him Little Lion. I've seen the way he looks at the birds! I try to give him enough food to not crave sparrow or dove. I hate it when I find a pile of feathers in my yard :/

- ("red flag") ... I have changed the title of this poem three times ... posted the last line as the title so that there were 6 lines for the contest (a contest that I will never be on the winner list ... but one should never give up :))) - Have a lovely weekend, Jan :) - hugs
