Best Dart Poems

Premium Member The Dart Chalker

He threw the dart,
it missed the board,
it hit my foot instead.
The next dart flew.
it hit a wire
then ricocheted t'wards my head.

It's a dangerous thing,
the game of darts.
Not for the faint of heart.
"Cause once they're drunk
they miss the board
and try, your hair, to part.

I can add
and I can subtract
so I don't mind keeping score.
But when those darts
miss the board
they don't always hit the floor.

I have scars
and I have bled
from darts, like missiles, thrown.
But if they don't stop
aiming for me
they can bloody well score their own.

Premium Member Lions Tigers and Bears Oh Why

Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh, my.
Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh why?
Lions and Tigers and Bears are not really all that scary to me,
When we read the facts about other animals in tropical forests, and under the sea.

We should change the song to this little tune:
Puffer Fish, Golden poison dart frog and the tsetse fly, oh my.
Puffer Fish, Golden poison dart frog and the tsetse fly, oh why?
These little creatures are as scary as the cone snail which is no cartoon.
The cone snail has a hypodermic-like needle with venom, shaped like a harpoon.
So if you see a cone shell, on a beautiful beach,
Remind yourself it may be alive, before you reach.

If you are in a rain forest, and you see the cutest little golden frog hopping through,
Know before you pocket it that it weighs less than an ounce, but has enough poison to kill you.
The golden poison dart frog could take you out, and nine of your favorite fellow travelers too.
The toxin, which comes out of her sweet little skin,
could show you all what a mood she is in.
The puffer fish is clumsy, and slow, and cannot readily hide.
But his toxins are more deadly than twelve hundred spoons of cyanide.
Lions, tigers, and bear, oh my.
Better them than the puffer fish, golden dart frog, cone snail, and the tsetse fly.

Premium Member The Dart Board

Darts boards on the wall
There are twelve together
The twelve teams are formed
To make friendship with fun

Everyone throws a dart
For the highest number
Then second,third,fourth
Now the game begins

Some darts thrown hit the floor
The others miss the board
Its not easy as it looks
Some darts hit the walls

The others aim for the middle
It does not happen to often
A lot of darts thrown miss
Never hit the dart board

Strawberry Poison Dart Frog

Strawberry poison dart frog,
also called a blue jean morph,
strawberry-red,
orange-red,
blue or black lower parts,
which are found in most parts of central and south america,
diurnal, brightly colored,
aposematic patterns,
warning potential predators,
living amongst the rainforest,
high altitude shrubland,
flooded grassland they wander,
through montanes and rivers,
lakes and swamps,
amongst the trees above the ground,
secreting toxins through their skin,
as they rummage,
again and again,
through the marshlands.

The Poison Dart Frog

When I was a kid
I caught a poison dart frog;
Its skin was golden!

Premium Member Love Dart

A hunk once went on a junket
With lots of money in his pocket
Many fair ones tried to be smart
Springing forward their love dart
Dude was clever to evade their net.

Dart Board

Like a dart board
I can handle a good game
I get pierced
Sliced
Torn down
Many exert their frustrations
From the world
This place

I'm medieval
I love watching battle
Each dart thrown
A spectacle of madness tackled

I'm always on the wall
People constantly stare
In desperate need of dough
Place bets on me, do you dare?

I'm shaped like an onion,
I can be smelly
But very attractive
Although I appear shallow
My layers can bring out your best
Our relations are always 50/50
If it were any other way
You'd just look at me
I'm at the wall hanging solitaire

Flaming Dart

The seconds turn to hours, and the days turn to years
Oh what must I do to stop the aging.
I need to grow, and let go of my fears
I see the clock's pendulum swing, as time has begun fading.
They say with time comes wisdom, but I say its untrue
for the more I progress I feel to fall apart,
I wish I knew everything then I'd know what to do
I see death coming for me, like a flaming dart.
I remember being told that I would live forever
but those were the days when I was naive,
eternal and a fulfilling life, that is my endeavor.
plese tell me why, my dear youth, why must you leave?
So as long as my heart beats, and my lungs breathe,
This life I go on living,
I sure do hope to succeed.

Poison Dart

A poison dart lodged in my heart
One kiss is deadly
Still when it comes to you I can never get enough
A train wreck, my love is crazy
Two souls clashing, smashing apart
A world of kaos, you break me
Trouble in my mind as sanity I can't find
But that's the way it is
So leave me before I die
Till I fall out of life
Till I no longer want
To want you..

Tease of a Lover

In a dream of bare, I awoke
In the blared walls, it misspoke
The winds of Auria eluded in the cascading windows which then provoked
Envisions of Auria descended through the glistening saint
Without a flair, I discerned a haint
Auria wandered in a stage of fright,
Meanwhile, invading my dreams of spite
Her nebulous words echoed in my mind
‘What a faint creature, so misled by fracture’
They mellowed as it prospected my perceptions
As she posited her hand on my exceptions
Envisions of Auria repulsed its regressions
She was my fate of progression
She rehashed my reflections
A memory of infliction
She wandered off into a glistening spade
Relinquishing her jades
I scrutinized her windows of glade
I lingered against her pallid hair
Then, woke up in tedious wear
‘Auria, a lady of fate, yet dart of spade’
Such assimilation wandered in the glistering gape
My thoughts were so heavy, yet so light, though seemed rather bright
They were my reminiscences of Auria”

Premium Member Where Shaped Clouds Dart

To run far far away if I dare
When I run, why try to disappear
Out of this house with never a care
Lie on the grass, look upward to sky clear

I don't care if shaped clouds dart around
While I lie at peace on grassy dirt
As I am carefree lying on ground
Observing life far far away no hurt

To run far far away_settle there
The ocean alluringly calls
Come, come my love settle near here
Let the waves lap my toes one and all

Come is the call of attachments dear
Family alluringly invites
Don't run away come stay close by here
Torn emotion, spirit torture spikes

Carnality leads, draws one wrong way
Goodly spirit settles: peace in this place
Allure of ocean, places of far away
Can't fill the void in this case

(Written after reading Edna St. Vincent Millay)

Premium Member Where Is My Dart

I watched a nail biter
Game tonight
Was Texas Longhorns
And Oklahoma Cowboys
Naturally you know who I was for
After three over times
The Cowboys won once more.

Go Cowboys Go

If you want to know
Who my favorites are
It depends on who is playing.

I am for Nebraska, K U and K state
Oklahoma Cowboys
But the Texsas Longhorns do rate.

It makes it tough when they
Play one another
I just throw a dart
Then hope for the other.

Go Big Red Go

Dart

Drive in the stake a little deeper
Plunge in the knife and twist some more
Choke her to death and count to four
You know you never wanted to keep her

Your words of malice
Bite her to the bone
You make her feel so alone
Doesn't matter, you're already calloused

Do you care that she cries?
Or that her heart is torn apart?
Because you still throw the dart
And laugh when she dies

A Dart Player's Prayer

Here we go again
Tonight, a game of darts we’ll
Fight…with shots to win…
Just don’t want to loose
Again…to them like all year
Long…and if their lead

Shoots tuns all three games
Once more, hold me back so I
Don’t go belt him one.

A Dart On Dreams

The riddles of brain got me through,
My sweat is witness and duties proof,
Burnt two ends of life not candles,
To achieve my dream or so I say.
My dreams were wings of people's desire,
But little I knew those sugary vipers,
Who gasped my wishes for selfish fame,
And sailed my vision far away.
My life is now a splendid satire,
Neighbours are satiated more than ever,
But an unusual void trembles my interior,
I stand so lonely in this sea of success.
Had I heard the beats of my soul,
Followed my heart and venged the folks,
Happiness would have cherished my works,
My old arms blossomed with lush and love.
Sailing my dreams in the boats of treachery,
Why should I moan over the trick of time?
For those boats test everyone's grit,
The holes were rather poked by me.
