Best Crepuscular Poems

Crepuscular Rays of Horizon

Yonder the stars in the sky,
My mind's imagination flew high.
To seems I never dreamed cry
But someone knocks and made me sigh.

At first I thought those were jokes
And think to play out of it choke
But I went out of control;
To never hold the push it pulls.

Yesterday I was just a no-no
Today I become a so-so
And tomorrow will I be a yo-yo?
Or a something that will be in limbo?

Yet, I was once a dream
To you I was full of gleam
That glow in a nights tame.
Never shed the rays it scream.

crepuscular mist
rising above the shore’s rocks…
do I see a light?

In the Crepuscular Half-Light

In the crepuscular half-light
Our amaranthine trysting dreams
Are transformed to apodictic
Iridescent lyrical love
Tokens of rhapsodic tranquil

Shadow of the Crepuscular

Never alone in the middle of the night
(With me here for you feels like home)
Glare of a shadow in the absence of light
(By your side you’ll never be alone)

A faint distill in the air
(Smiling he falls down to one knee)
A hopeful turn and a distant stare
(Yes she replies with a tear full of glee)

(The miseries of marriage and the joys a new)
A roof over her head and a bed built for two
(Tiss a love story just begun)
And tiss a song and must be sung

Premium Member Crepuscular Crescendo

Fading light
Bidding farewell to the sky
Shading the blue expanse with streaks of pink
Striding gradually towards the dark unknown
Receding lazily
Descending in the faraway horizon
Rounding like an orange-yellow pearl that glows
Winding up sky lighting job today
Gliding orb
Gilding the crepuscule with glitter
Holding the attention of spectators in spectacular fashion
Exuding exuberance in goodbye to gloaming

Crepuscular

puccini in the distance
ka-bobs on the grill
wine deep in the glass
freedom is near

dogs on the porch
smile as you absorb the sunset
tasting the nectar of conversation
intermingled with salty and sweet

the hand of the one you love
reaching for your shoulder
softly
followed instantly by
a knowing movement towards
the approaching touch

the shared glance of communion
and
freedom is here

unbelievable days of letting go
allowing the moment
to steep in your soul

The Nightjars

As dusk hours darken the skies ever later
Crepuscular creatures return
Strisores awaken the heathland
As the heat of the day still rises from the earth.

Quietness blankets the world in black
So silent I hear only noise
Yet over the volume of nothingness
The nightjars are back with their voice.

The trilling incessant and echoing through
The forest, rebounds from the trees
Bringing the woodlands alive at night
As the sound travels far on the breeze.

Pausing only to breathe and break their song.
As I hold my breath to silence my body
Closing my eyes to strain and not to miss
A single note in their evening aria.

As I retire to my chamber
Window open to allow warm breeze
Finally as sleep creeps into my mind
The nightjars commence their diminuendo

The noise of the night retreats
Inky blackness taking over the sky
Dreams float through the dark
Accompanied by the memories of the day.

Retribution

Twilight was the time of day
as well they do concur
about the hour of crepuscular dusk
or evening if you prefer
there in the gloaming
altho' the light was slightly dimmer
I took a look at the situation
and saw more than quite a glimmer
of absolute absurdity the altercation confrontation
as if every nation were to follow the Law
of Exact Retaliation an eye for an eye
we'd all be sightless both you and I
or Reciprocal Justice a tooth for a tooth
for in truth me and you'd
have nothing at all with which to chew
and all done in the name of what
I'll only surmise
it's just for man to prove he can
if so it could be our demise
as we would find
unable to feed we'd go hungry
while the blind lead the blind
