The author would like to confirm that no deaths occured , during the creation of this piece. All
suffering was kept to a minimum,as the surgery was sound-proofed .Pain and suffering ,
caused to waiting patients , was due to being forced to read 3yr old mags. Seemingly the
news was less dire back then. All enamel&blood stained swabs were dumped in the
appropriate utensils,as per Geneva Convention(section ix, site xxxiv). The cleansing of soiled
underwear took place ,under supervision, with enviroment friendly detrgents & all offending
materials disposed of , in accordance with the KyotoAgreement(section mlx11).

Light Verse
The year 1890
December 29th
Wounded Knee, South Dakota
My tribe lost their lives
The USS 7th
On their orders so
To round up the Sioux
Railroad herd them and go
Us Lakota were next
To disarm their request
But my cousin Black Coyote
At best he was deaf
Not hearing the orders
To lay down our guns
A chain reaction
Ensued on my tribal ones
Chaos and mayhem
Distressed our grounds
This proud nation
Beaten down
Men, women and children
300 slain
Another reminder
For the white mans gain
To disrespect the fallen
Slows our souls to our gods
We were left in a blizzard
Hardened like logs
In three days we rose
Civilians did lift
And dumped us unceremoniously
In a hole in the drift
My corpse and my peoples
Stripped and robbed
As flakes of snow
Confirm our spirits have sobbed
As i am reborn again
In another country
It gives me the freedom
To look back and see
That December day in 1890
Gunning down innocent ones
Not so mighty
The Medal of Honor
In their distinguished past
The record still stands
On their chests they flash
But attitudes change
As two centuries pass
The Medal Of Honor
Has won back its class
No longer the weak
Gunned down by the strong
Its man against man
Sometimes they do wrong
So as i sit back in my adopted nation
Will i live again past this lives station
Writing the wrongs of modern man
This Lakota warrior who never ran

I’m a lonely lighthouse battered by the sea
Standing all alone steadfast and strong
Keeping guard for souls in difficulty
Maintaining my watch all day long
Waves exploding but I’m standing firm
Salty spray splashes over me
A soldier of the sea I confirm
I ‘m committed to my duty
Storm or tempest I will never fear
Tsunami or swirling hurricane
Shining my light so you know I’m here
For sailors, I will always remain

The strain of separation leaves a sore,
sorrow abides and festers in the heart;
two star-cross'd lovers smitten to the core,
despairing of the days they'll spend apart.
Spirit, soul and testament they share,
blind to worldly consequences, broken
by the distance in between, for where'er
their footsteps fall each retains a token.
Two rings confirm a union true and bold;
connubial bliss that will not e'er be still'd
though time and tide would try to break the mold,
a fire undying, passion unfulfilled.
The day will shortly dawn to soothe the strain,
and end their bleak despondency and pain.

Count not the time you have lived including today,
Not by the clock, in whose time you did love, work and play.
Count the times the joy and happiness to many you have brought,
Giving praise, encouragement, joy, to those when sad and distraught.
Value it by the time with loved ones and friends you have shared.
Treasure the time when you loved your closest and friends and truly cared.
Think of the good things you are going to give, do or say.
For you and many, your kindness will make it a great day.
Time goes quicker as the aged and ancients will confirm and know.
We pray we are healthy, not alone, happy when our time has come to go.
The age you feel now often depends on the happiness in your heart,
Let the world remember you with a smile when you finally depart.
How long will you live? How old are you now?
Only fate and you can decide when you take your final bow.
Count the happy memories however large or small,
When you helped, gave love, with content walked tall.
Love the world and it will love you back too,
You will live longer, be happier, now you have your cue.
This way you could be in for a long and happy bat.
Only you can decide, life is as simple as that.

I know You desire to have my heart
I want You to have it too
But I do not know about how to start
My giving my heart to You
For love is confusing, and thoughts are weak
I hardly know anything
Of what must be done to the heart I seek
To give unto you, my King
So capture my heart, Yah, steal all my love
For nothing compares to You
Please fill me with passion for things above
In all that I say or do
How wondrous it is that my heart You see
You see all the faults and sin
Yet still in my heart, Yah, You wish to be
I wish You would enter in
But how do I make You a throne in me?
So perfectly pure Thou art
You cannot abide where’er sin might be
You only can cleanse my heart
So capture my heart, overwhelm my soul
Come cleanse me, till all is Thine
Since me You forgave, and You made me whole
My heart should no more be mine
You gave me my life, breath, and everything
All things that are good and true
You gave me all these for Your work, my King–
For me to give back to You
Most precious, You gave up Your life to save
The souls of humanity
You rose and You conquered all sin–the grave
Now come conquer all of me
So capture my heart, draw my soul away
Your love is what sets me free
You gave up Your best when You died that day
Now come take the best of me
Yes, capture my heart, bind my soul to Thee
I truly want nothing more
Your covenant oath, Yah, confirm with me
Thus binding me evermore

On an unsinkable ship’s maiden voyage, it sinks.
A pastor who preaches against alcohol, drinks.
One’s surrounded by people, yet remains all alone.
Confessing sins to a priest, those sins are atoned?
A nation’s chief tax czar, who cheats on his taxes?
An animal lover who hunts deer, to relax.
Sing praise and kill humans, in the name of a God?
Destroying our enemies, lasting peace we applaud?
The lifeguard fears water, so remains on dry land.
American foot...ball, is played with the hands.
A high school track coach, who's morbidly obese.
The steakhouse that's owned, by a vegan!
The priest preaching sermons on love, is a pedophile.
Repeat charity builds dependence, over time.
Nations war against drugs, and market alcohol?
DNA tests confirm, Hitler’s Grandfather was Jewish!

Was strolling down on Lover's Lane
With you lingering next to me.
Aphasiacs told me your name,
My love forever: Irony.
Your eyes of polished solar hue,
Comparable to no degree...
And I would venerate them too
My love, if I could only see.
You love the seasons with acclaim,
Adore the sight of all the trees.
But then of course, it starts to rain
An acid that erodes the leaves.
But I confirm my love will last;
You may possess me endlessly.
My passion, never will it pass
Away, or go missing from me.
Despite my greatest efforts though,
There is one thing I cannot change.
It is your name, my deer, my doe.
The irony of love, so strange.
My love for you has now been slain.
As I was strolling down I slowed,
The sign that once said "Lover’s Lane",
Actually reads "Memory Road".

I suppose I’m a poetic clown
I’m content with life, I don’t get down
And I’ll deny the rumour
Brits have no sense of humour
This injustice will sure make me frown
I confirm I’m not much of a poet
My writing style sucks and I know it
I use silly words
Like boobies and turds
I amuse folks just by using my wit
In reality I’m pretty quiet
And I’ve never been tempted to diet
I am a mother and wife
And I just cherish my life
You won’t find me out causing a riot

Limerick
Brain rewired
The spine of prison rattles
Hearts harden
Hungry dogs
Chomp on the bars and the bones
Of his hope
He is lost
Dreams and fears confirm his tears
Time is gone
Guilty truths
Drizzle down his swollen cheeks
“God, I’m yours. . .
Lift my eyes
For your light is my way to
Shame my foes. . .
My clothes droop
My body slumped against death
This soul swells. . .
I need her. . .
If only you knew how much
I miss her. . .
I need You
For You have stayed here with me
Patiently. . .”
The sun peeks
His sad eyes take in the warmth
His heart melts
We are free
The sky is open to you
Now Stay Strong

Six forty eight,
sitting in a cab at Madison and LaSalle.
Present in hand, Spongebob encased.
A look at the schedule just to confirm
the train leaves at seven PM.
There’s shade in this canyon
but its still hot as hell.
Smog laden air buzzes over the street.
A man from IT or Accounts Receivable
walks with purpose holding his suit jacket.
The jacket screams that this man cares no more.
We roll along then come to a stop.
Gridlock.
Wide traffic cop
shakes her head and talks to a friend.
I let out a heavy sigh.
The yellow eyes of my driver
flash back at me in the rearview mirror.
His eyes stand out against his blue-black skin
and chiseled cheek bones.
A siren whines, drawing near.
The Doppler effect
smashes the sound waves pitching higher
against the rear windows of the sitting cars.
Jean Baptiste, as the license says,
looks around and now
lets out his own audible sigh.
A droplet of sweat rolls down his temple.
Airhorns blow again and again.
Our cab nudges forward
pinning the heat of the engine
against the exhaust exiting
the Crown Vic sitting in front.
A bike messenger weaves on through.
The ambulance grunts pesteringly.
A piece of crap Dodge starts to steam.
The meter silently ka’chings.
A yard of space enters Jean’s view.
Its now seven ‘O’ two.

She's too skinny. She's too fat.
He's too white. He's too black.
She's too pretty. She's not hot.
He wears stripes. He likes dots.
She's too peppy. She's too sad.
He's too cheerful. He's too mad.
She's too quiet. She's too loud.
He's too humble. He's to proud.
She's too much a lady. She's not enough.
He's too weak. He's too tough.
She's too lenient. He's too strict.
I can't have a conversation without pitching a fit.
It's too old. It's too new.
I want more than one, but I'll hate having two.
It's too original. It's too much the same.
I don't care if you say it's awesome, I say it's lame.
Too young, too old, too short, too tall,
I have standards to uphold, and you'll conform to them all.
Although we don't see eye to eye,
And our opinions are as different as whole wheat and rye,
I won't unfollow, I won't ignore.
I'll shove my opinions through your front door.
I'll shame you in public and criticize your name.
It's not "just a movie". It's not "just a game".
Your misery is my happiness, unless I get what I want,
And I'll get what I want through threats and insults, hatred and taunts.
You will confirm until we agree.
This is all about me, me, me.

Through charcoal ash covered sands of time in history September 11th, 2001 we'll never forget
Brave men and women quick to help without thoughts of regret
So many watched on t.v, faces streaming with tears
Some prayed like crazy for loved ones hoping no one would confirm their greatest fears
First tower struck, struck fear in our hearts
Still, communities held together while some worlds felt they were falling apart
Thought to be an accidental fluke was the first 767 that crashed
Approximately 18 minutes later as her twin tower was struck it was clear an attack was being lashed
Foundation of buildings built strong to last
Still couldn't withstand heat from the jet fuel among impact of the blast
Brave men and women worked hard to evacuate and do what they could
Meanwhile, there was trouble at the Pentagon in their neck of the woods
News came that among the World Trade Center the Pentagon was also hit
People collapsed as standing structures did to silently prey where they sit
Yet, another plane crashed in a Pennsylvania field
Passengers aboard didn't make it but died as heroes with their battle with terrorists they didn't stop or yield
Where were you on this devastating day?
Where ever it was I hope you were among others who did pray
The world is still turning
For loved ones lost, some are still yearning
Permanent smokey images sketched of falling debri and structures burning
Lingering thoughts have hearts and stomachs still churning
Nothing could have prepared anyone for the destruction and heartache to come with those four flights
Light a candle for lost innocent brave souls, heroes, and survivors on this night

You thought you found love,
while a naive youth.
And asked God above,
to confirm its truth.
Yet that love would fade
as the years slipped by.
But those feelings stayed;
and still make you cry.
Breakups hurt so much,
smiles morph into tears.
And you shun love's touch,
alone, with your fears.
Unable to cope,
you douse passion's flame.
And imprison Hope;
thinking it's to blame.
Once you dim its light,
hope cannot find you.
And slips out of sight;
making you feel blue.
Despite what it seems,
your life is not through.
So, don't dismiss dreams;
which may yet come true.

How many are realities? Is a question,
How many one actually wants? Is option?
Monism, like single-focus telescope, stands firm,
While dualism, like binoculars, less confirm...!
I who see the flower observe the bee as well,
That, like unidentified guest, within it dwell;
I focus on flower, yet, bee I don't ignore,
Bee and bloom are harmonious; in union soar...!
Absolute is one; from that utmost have all come,
Flies, bees, birds, animals, reptiles - those speak or dumb;
Existing in any habitat they do preach,
Of the truth, to which, these all ultimately reach...!
Multiplicity must give way to simplicity,
Souls-convergence should erase all complexity;
My body and soul are in me; I am in them;
If one has no life in it, won't thing turn mayhem...?
Universe is a gadget that gladly partakes,
The great principle of Brahma, who makes and breaks;
To diminish every divisibility,
And bring in indissoluble pure unity...!
Advaita - body-mind one - beings become whole,
Parmatma in atma dwells as a cosmic soul;
Can one remove blood from flesh or heat from fire?
Each in each one; all in all; Agape grows higher...!
