Premium Member Burning Embers

The dawn of love, so magical and new,
Two bodies set aflame with burning kiss.
Enchanted world and only for the two.
No other pair has ever loved like this.
Young love, a wonder while its passions last
Must change its form if it’s to long endure.
Too soon the thrill of love, once new, is past.
It should condense to essence now more pure.

At time love’s embers start a blazing flame,
Soon cooling down to just a lovely glow.
No need for these to play a youthful game,
Their dreams fulfilled, as both of them now know.
For though the young and foolish long for fire,
The glowing embers, wiser hearts desire.

RED ANGEL

I see the fire in your eyes!
This Red Angel, who's not human, intriguing with lies.
Pointing to the path that leads to paradise.
Ending Revelations with violence, breaking every inch of ice.

Blazing wings like the sunset over a field of corn.
A row of roses with rubies sharper than a thorn.
A devious smile covering up a set of horns.
Diluting me with images, since the day I was born.

Goose bumps when your essence is near.
I linger and shiver my lips with fear.
A slithery hypnotic tongue, the Red Angel wipes away my tear.
Holding the reddish key, whispering the word. "FREEDOM!"Into my ear.

Like the crimson tide lifting me from drowning at his request.
I find my heart pondering deeper and deeper within my chest.
Blessed with the curse of 'death' when my demons are depressed.
I'm still smiling to the sweet surrender of your breath.

A halo exploding like the fur of a volcano filled with lava.
Allowing the angel's advocate around~like a tree of strawberry guava.
Swallowing my own drops of red blood from my own saliva.
Living like the dead after a full bottle of vodka.

I beg for mercy at the Red Angels cow like feet.
Collapsing with sweat in his sweet eternal heat.
Gasping for the fresh air to avoid the smell of rotten meat.
I see the aura of an angel with his fangs ready to feast and eat.

Falling into a daze towards the red picket fence.
My Red House engraved with flames, after my feeling where condense.
My soul tormented by goodness at evils expense.
Flowing with every feeling including God's given sixth sense...

my head touches the pillow
as gentle rain lulls me

into the sheets,
fold into myself,
….be forgotten,

immerse myself with the raindrops
and blend in—
    washed out,
washed away,

be a mere globule
in those floodwaters

and once it recedes,

let me be

--bleached
by
sunlight

scrub a w a y
my darkness,

let that vast spectrum of light
assault it

let those rays
shine
No.
make that, glare--
into my outer and inner beings,
highlighting each of my flaws—

(--can’t you see?—
--tell me,
is it not amidst sunlight
that you see
all those dust particles
floating about?

air may seem invisible,
  but it's not invincible

think. Again.

--those countless, innumerable
nano flaws)

let those rays
burn through me,
forcing melanocytes
to aggregate
into multiple nevi

--flaws manifested—

then after the Sun
has done its part,

allow pieces of me

to evaporate,
to condense,
to sublimate,,,,

I ramble, on
    and on ...,and on
droning, groaning
like the hardened ground,
as, it’s, pierced, by, rain daggers,

(but unlike it,
the petrichor
that I release

fails
to
invigorate me

--the reason
behind this

escapes me)

Drench,,,,, everything!!!!!!!
!!!!! unleash,,,,, ravage !!!!!
     then
  devastate!!!!!

simply:

R e l. e a s e

all that chaos
within

then after all that,
revel in the silence

and so
I simply lie
down
on my pondering senti.mental stool-
the overthinker, the wandering fool

Cut through me, Rain,

Burn deep inside me, Sunlight,
--then heal my tatteredness

Premium Member Everyday Is a Cliffhanger

Each book in my library must be read, each one, each and every one,
vagrant, homeless papers must find a forever home, I must
edit, amend, revise, reword and condense a poem-
Rattled, I search for my keys, oh collywobbles!
Yearning for tranquility instead of this constant dither and tizzy, and
daunting days of jitters, willies, shivers and heebie-jeebies,
and my heart in a knot of anxiety!
Yes, I have days of cliffhanging moments!

Inside my soul, I just want to dilly-dally,
silent, I want to make each day count, but

apprehension and anticipation always keep me on tenderhooks.

Consternation, worry and anxiety, creep, creeping, and
like an unsettled butterfly, I flutter befuddled.
Inside my soul, I just want to lollygag!
Fearful, I face each new day undaunted, taking
first one step, then another and on and on and on . . .
hoping my distress is unseen and undetected.
And I step off the cliff that is my life each morning, oh
no one can escape some anxious days, of
go here, go there, get this and get that, oh collywobbles!
Edit, amend, revise, reword, and condense a poem, but really,
really I love my crazy, hectic, unpredictable, anxious life!

Butterfly Rust

~With a red cloisonne butterfly welded
to the end of the metal, the wire, I wrapped you
and cut off the circulation in my pinky finger.
I laughed with a nervousness
given to caffeine,
and popped two sticks of peppermint gum
in my mouth.~

"Always remember me", you said with a smile
of darkness, of truth, to insanely beguile
the roof off my brain, pulling all of my thoughts
to the sky to condense, concreting the pain.

(Conundrum to imprison a butterfly brightly
to metal in what looks like nail polish red
Funny to think that this same time next year
I'll still be here thinking the things that you said

You will be breaking up wine glasses toasting
and you will be setting the sun every night
and maybe you'll think of me somewhere
in passing, but somehow I can't think that that would be right.)

I never liked cloisonne, I'd rather remember
the moment I met you when all was still free
and nervously, as I unwrapped my desire,
I'd rather it there, that you remember me.

Noise in her Mind

I know her so well she came long ago to visit my being
we share beauty and bedlam boudoir and kindest of spirits

She walks like a cat woman hears like a bat feeds birds
quietly she soothes thunder’s volcano howls with the wolves

Klimt’s Kiss Vermeer’s Girl With Pearl Earring Botticelli’s Venus Degas’s
Dancer In Repose Fedro’s Much Better With Age she
absorbs pastel and paint strokes symphonies on canvas
so many facets big bangs and roaring giggling convulsions

Sometimes Woman Laughing from Goya’s dark paintings
a Broken Column like Kahlo’s when some Munch’s Scream
invades and infests silence deep inside her beautiful scull

Voices shout from profuse directions focus condense and
refract confront tease torment disagree and interfere with
calm serene serenades when a few notes tender chords
and accord vanish into cacophonies misleading the song

I know her so well admire her resilience and how she copes
with the noise the disruption and the ballet of so many
different views pandemonious clangour onslaught of turmoil
as she appears calm on the surface orchestrates quiet composure

How she holds it all together I cannot really fathom with all that
jumbling distance so close and yet so far from my innocent mind

My Venus Of Milo has taught me so much most of it all and over
above that imperfection is a wonderful gift and very complete

The puppet pranced
The strings frayed
A jackass brayed
As poppin’ hoppys
Sat and rose
In ballet dance
Of well browned nose
Applause and “clapture”
of Stockholm rapture
A mocking strut
Of failing stature

Overseers jaundiced eyes
Pundits seeking pulitz prize
Dissect the metaphoric frog
Wash it down with pints of grog
Amidst the spin of liars din
They shout pick me let’s ride again

Update quickly twitter feeds
Sating lustful twitter needs
Condense a two hour monologue
Into a twenty-five word blog
Check the facts, don’t be a chump
It’s just another “word soup” dump

Question

It’s easiest to hide behind
The written word
Typed data
Ashes strewn across the pages

Through the rhythm of the keyboard
The scratch of pencil on the sheet
Thoughts come out from deep within
Don’t leave quite yet, just listen

I’d sooner state it face-to-face
But the sight of you eliminates
All the courage saved within
Standard teenage fears, you know.

I realize it may sound odd
And sudden
But hey…
What fun is linearity anyway?

To summarize, to condense
I think back to whence
These thoughts emerged
And the question I pose…

Is the same one I asked all those months ago.

Premium Member A Privilege

Imagine that there is something beyond imagination

an oxymoron of course but a real task nevertheless

There may be no God not even spirituality suffices

but the whole is much greater than the sum of all parts

The Universe grants freedom from self-righteousness

offers me to let go off megalomanic delusions of grandeur

makes my light shine in illumination and its shadows

paints a picture with no centre other than kindness and love

Unorthodox and conforming to nothing but compassion

the tiny wee little Me takes its right place in the crowd

at liberty to breathe feel think and reason for meaning

to resonate reflect condense for a moment in infinite time

Like a novel it reaches out from beginning to the end

states a point here and there and connects small dots

that swell into an epic and ephemeral narration to tell

soon forgotten but a blob on the pages as good as it can

Another book will take its place on the library shelf

liberated from its companions to start a new venture

to reconstruct and make its mark on literal essence

Fly free my soul and expound my purpose for free

Succinct

It’s hard to write succinctly.
It’s murder to condense;
So lengthy poems quite often seem
To be the consequence.

It really takes a special skill
To trim or cut in half
The thoughts you must compose
With just the wheat but not the chaff.

Consolidation is the key
But when I’m taking stock,
I’m well aware that discard key
Will not fit in my lock!

The Arms of a Stranger

The odor of warmth and affection,
The feeling of love and protection,
An isolated heaven of love;
I lay in his arms like an angel,
Like a white dove,

At the moment,
I am living an endless time
Of eternal happiness,
Life seems to be everlasting…
Life now, is a colored painting
Of smiles and joy,

Words slithered between his lips,
Like tiny insects sliding on the petals
Of a bright-colored flower,
I contemplated his beauty as
I heard his tender voice whisper,
“Thy beauty is like the azure sky.”

Perfection is what I am seeing,
His words kept on repeating
In my head;
In his arms I lived another life…
A nirvana created by his glaring eyes,

“Thy beauty is a mosaic picture on the walls of heaven,”
His words swayed like the dancing waves…
I lay there inertly,
With a river of feelings penetrating
My soul like an addictive kiss of his,
I smiled…

--------------------------------
My feelings suddenly shifted,
I felt tiny droplets of water condense
On my cheeks,
Were they tears?

My anguish was immense…
Sadness and grief formed
A body of confusion that mystified
The fantasizing feelings I had felt,

Here I was,
In your arms;
My ally, the person I shared my life with…
You held me tightly trying to ease
The pain I was feeling,
The pain created by you…

The tears in my eyes created a reflection of
My sufferings,
The sufferings that tend to draw a continuous
Picture of your betraying eyes…
I cried and cried as I felt your arms
Hold me tighter,
I felt no comfort at all…

I closed my eyes trying to place myself
In “his” arms again,
The arms of the stranger
That allayed my soul like tender music,
Like a harmony created by the soft,
Emerald leaves that danced with the wind…

I smiled again…

Window To My Verse

I pen a beauty for a poetry contest,
I use the best form that suits my verse,
to convey my simple ideas the best;
The brilliance of this creation is that
it reflects my readers' thoughts;
The soul of my poem cares to connect
to the readers' mind and intellect.

I condense the use of my chosen words,
creating a rhythm with cadence
with a voice that echoes throughout;
They weave magic to create vivid images
that adorn the charm of my verse -
just like a rainbow enhancing the beauty of sky
after a short refreshing summer rain.

Now it is time to choose an apt title -
It is the first thing that the readers would see, and
gives a clue to my poem: matching my content
and shaping my readers' perception of poem.

Just as eyes are the windows to the soul,
my title will be the window to my verse.

Dreamy Haze

Grasping my soul into its mystery,
Leaving me motionless, breathless,
Wanting to breathe more of its
Aroma, its sensation, its
Mystified, encrypted feelings…

It’s my devotion,
It’s my colorful ocean,
It’s the web of my emotions…
Smiling, as I meditate
My uncontrolled enthusiasm…
My beautiful fervor, my passion…

A-h-h! As its hymns play,
Harmoniously, its words begin to say
All the things in which I want to hear,
Words that draw my manifestation…

Between the hazy mists I sit,
Watching tiny droplets of water
Condense with tenderness on my skin...
Slithering, as new worlds of words
Begin to form within…
----------------------------------------------------------

Dreamy haze in which I feel alive,
Take me into thee,
Where no one can revive
Me from this ecstasy, from
 My life’s fantasy…

POETRY…

Everything in me, and
Everything destined to be…

The Ambiance

In chilly sensation held
Wrapped within warm quilt
I could almost feel my balmy
Breath condense through the
Air
With the odor of my favorite
Scents swarming through my
Hair
I sit with passion, my divan positioned
My posture upright, my thoughts
Engaged
My room lit just right
My table perfectly placed
I focus, I think
I stare

Glasses on, books on the
Right pages… pens, pencils,
Some papers to solve upon
Then tear…
