1) Pick up the cat and cradle it in the crook of your arm as if holding a baby. Position forefinger and thumb on either side of the cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As the cat opens it's mouth pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.
2) Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in arm and repeat process.
3) Retrieve cat from bedroom and throw away soggy pill.
4) Take new pill from package and cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut and count to 10 .
5) Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe.
6) Kneel on floor with cat firmly wedged between knees. Hold front and rear paws ignoring low growls emitted by cat. Get partner to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.
7) Retrieve cat from curtain rail and take another pill from the package. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set aside for gluing later.
8) Wrap cat in a towel and get partner to lie on top of cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in the end of a drinking straw, force cat's mouth open with pencil and blow down the straw.
9) Check label to see if pill is harmful to humans and drink a pint of beer to take the taste away. Apply band aide to partner's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.
10) Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed and get another pill. Open another beer. Place cat in cupboard and close door firmly on neck. Force mouth open with dessert spoon and flick pill down throat with elastic band.
11) Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges.
Drink beer, fetch bottle of Scotch, pour a shot and drink. Apply whiskey compress to cheek to disinfect, then toss back another shot.
Throw away remnant of T-shirt and put on a new one.

Tumble, crumble cornmeal, salted flour
Stream olive oil
Feed water and toasty yeast with sugar
Crinkle, rumple, crease, and fold
Smooth a silky, doughy globe.
Cover, leave the orb to grow
Keep baby warm
Wrap with snug and swaddling towel
Linger, loiter, wait and proof
Sing a sunny, happy tune.
Overturn the ball on flour
Dust a wooden pin
Feed heart and conscience with honey
Rotate, flatten, compress, admire
Make a downy, level sphere.
Bridge the stretchy bread to pan
Curl edges like leaves
Swirl and ladle a coat of tomato
Thick, chunky, bright, and red
Sway to kitchen melody.
Peppers, onions, olives, chokes
Sausage for some
Rain down the mozzarella and Swiss
Turn and toss, precipitate
Drizzle a snowy blend.
Push the pie into a hot cathedral
Pray for happiness
Think about joy and contentment
Pause, watch, patience, serenity
This journey bakes the future.

The poems in my heart
are meant for you
written with love from my hopes and desires
kept as a treasure, until we met
on the day we paused
and realized a new world had begun
when our silent souls stirred
with wondrous dreams
and we wandered on the wishful wishes
of our new tomorrow
I will read these poems to you
beneath starlight glows of night
as I look into your eyes of love
Then float on the smiles streaming from your eyes
coming nearer unraveling my heart
and claim reasons for its deepest sighs
I'll lift my eyes with love to impart
feeling the space between compress and slow
as our hearts pound, they have turned a red flame
to light our passions in a golden glow
and capture our hearts to the love we claim
so our lips can feel a quivering realm
to feed love's hunger when our mouths converge
and leave a breathless pause, to overwhelm
and bind our souls to love, where we immerge
in timeless eternal worlds love demands
we hold the face of beauty in our hands
then slowly drift away with our dreams
as our hearts fluttered and our faces glowed
we floated in the dark of the night
with our souls burning in love's fire
holding its flaming torch with our hands
and leave the world with its cares
when each whisper was a symphony of desire
heard by our wanton ears
as the beauty of dawn rises ever soft
across your sensual eyes
I will read poems to you, from my heart

Take water, what do you know about it?
it has an almost magical existence
yet does it start as a cloud?
or is evaporation from bodies of water?
The answer amazingly is, its a byproduct
when stars are born a strong outward wind
of gas and dust forms, the shockwaves compress
and heat it forming water and vapour
Next time you have a drink,
Think
in your hand you hold birth
remember you also hold a star
What a miraculous thing is water
it keeps us from extinction
the sheer beauty delights
as it bounces sparkles and twinkles
Transparent and crystal clear
it holds so many life forms
all invisible to the naked eye
Water

Optimism is a way to scrub the hopelessness
Perhaps I'll escape perdition with a healthy dose of beauty paste
Will insecurities vanities blind me pitifully to the incoming waste
No, this corner would not be built into the path if it weren't meant to be walked down and turned

We're all crazy men.., it's so..
Eat a rotten turnip if you said it would bring any luck.
Fall in love at the very first drop of a ... - well you should know..
just goes to show..,
if you can imagine that.
We're all crazy men, and we all got a fever.
You can't save none..
not one,
even if you could make us,
believe it.
And you, a woman..
wonderful gift from on high,
the only cold compress that chose to express,
not worse for wear, seamless,
faithful spiritual guide.
Such a long away - our sisters, our brothers..
mourning distant mothers..
planting and growing your seeds,
sometimes from other's.
Are those dried tears in your eyes,
for me?
It was you who stayed,
never afraid,
even if you doubted..
plans that we made.
Thank you for taking a stand,
for loving your man..
your crazy,
crazy,
man.

I stand in awe, paralyzed
Bottomless pit below, where feet should stand
Boundless steps, take one more, then another
Am I alone, in a sea of nineteen thousand?
I wonder, is it just me
Who's lungs compress the closer we become
Nearly there, complete the infinate descent
A memory perpetually imprinted, will not be undone
I contemplate leaving, turn back
The rush overwhelms me, is it too late?
I've waited a lifetime and a day, I'm here
A bumbling hum accumulates, then resonates
I understand how it unites
How it heals, destroys, runs fingers through nerves
Drags buried demons from shadows, kicking, screaming
A final standing ovation, the least that's deserved
I reflect as the curtains drop
Last wire unplugged, last light deluminated
Bottomless pit, where feet once stomped
Can't shake the music from my mind, I'm contaminated

Death Speaks
As I walk through the valley of death bullets penetrate and opens up my chest.
I am slumped on the cement with scatter brain fragments.
Onto the pavement lamented the loss of many benefits.
Blood lines in the earth, embedded blood in the dirt my blood leaks through my shirt.
My life flashes before me as my blood lies beneath me.
The life that I took for granted, everything is now a chain reaction.
EMS tries desperately to save me; I no longer have a heartbeat.
My lungs deflate my chest compress with my final breath.
As my wig is pushed back my body relax, my head react and falls gently into my lap.
I am a casualty lying in these streets, as they begin to throw the unforgettable white sheet over me.
Flashing lights all around me, and I am not talking the paparazzi.
I feel my spirit leave my body my mother cries over me, “Lord please don’t take my baby from me”.
Inevitable death penalty simply unavoidable my life was so predictable.
My father made me a deputy, and life made a man out of me.
A legend in these streets generations of my historical legacy follows me.
I was the big boss chief, king almighty.
Soon to become a distance memory, my flesh is weak.
As the devil stands before me, I am cast into eternal misery.
Bleeding from main arteries I am facing my destiny.
From beyond my grave these words fade.
If I could make these words cry invisible syllables, a justifying biblical miracles.
Speaking in lyrical riddles, my death speaks to every individual.

Slam poetry evening
Offended
Leave now
In fact why have you come
If this is not for you
Or do you 2 wish to slam
And are here looking for a muse
To abuse or accuse
To ignite your fuse
Try walking in other's shoes
So contrite
I write what bite's
I spew like devil's flu
Over and under you
I slam
That of which I give a damn
I compress like a powder keg
I challenge you to think ahead
I am what keeps you awake in bed
I am an dystopia future
I lie beneath the key's of your computer
That the ouigie move's
And your feet steers
I am what's lurching in the rear mirror
I am your fear's
The shivers that chill down your spine
I am the crossed line
An anomaly
Slamming brain matter pulsating vein's
Allowing your innermost thoughts to flow
Without self control
No longer shy truth not lie
I could fry for divulging the slam
Loose my friends and confidants
For the sake of mistaking poetry for art
But if freedom and release
Is what I seek
Then on this day
Havoc wreak
I stand on fickle hoarded stage
And read my words from tortured page
And rage against my weapons
With dotted crosses
Ironing out the botches
With scalpel and shale beach rocks
And feel the chill of deafening frost
Nothing lost
Nothing ventured
Friendship mended
Slam ended
Can't even tell you
Why or even if I penned this
Or meant it
The sentiment is endless
For the reader to bend it
Sorry but I felt duty bound to send this
I honestly recommend it
Slam me back
Call me an old hack
Its the only way of keeping track
Or shelling the flack
Otherwise i will keep coming back
More black and blank
With no 1 to thank
And you can take that to the food bank

Keen amoungst the lore lays symbols laden with, inmeshed.
The lines collasece,
they weave and dress,
and form assembles
we attest.
Now best, we seek, through learning eyes, the ever changing shape's surprise,
to thrive and die,
the feast of pies,
the ripe enchanted taste of fries.
Sweet potato, no doubt.
Least you a lout...
And the list goes on, endlessly.
The step and pop of rhythm's grace, astounding taps to set the pace...
And chase, the spin, the grip, release..
The shapes and sounds abound with fate.
And all the while our times compress.
the heart beat sets the pace in chest.
the breath goes on without our mind.
Leaving behind...
Leaving behind...
That once-born dream.
The sun explodes...
what but love could derive a meaning from that event?

From the moment I feel that spark
in the palm of your hand and let it
run over the bone of my hip, I am placed in a
euphoria that drags along with me for months and
years.
It keeps me awake at night and clouds my focus
during the conference calls, bathroom breaks, and
monotonous drives home. It puts me to sleep as I stand
over the boiling pot of spinning webs.
I can feel every stroke of your finger across my face, my thoughts of it. I am
trapped in my memory and longing for the silence of water
falling from the shower head as I drink you in over and over.
It makes my heart flutter and pound and fumble to catch its breath. It makes my mind start and stop
and sputter like a Chrysler with no battery. I hold it quietly around my middle, to protect me from the
emptiness of acceptance.
This is a dirty trick of an imbalanced mind. It is not the very real experience and longing that I try to
compress with this very unhelpful, old washcloth.

You hold my hand
Tears stream, a warm compress placed upon my pale face
Increasing pain, so much fear my heart begins to race
Curled in my own bed
Trying to wrap this absurdity around my aching head
For just two mere miles away is the best E.R.
Now out of reach
It seems so far
I must be seen
For the bill be will so obscene
So young, I want to continue having fun
I’m my insurances *****, but by no means am I done
Sick at twenty-four
There is an expensive cure
You still hold my hand
Drained from increasing pain
This is why I fight for a certain prop
OR I couldn’t eat
Then DEAD I would drop
Mom you gave me the gift of life
I want to be like you…live long enough to become the perfect mommy and
wife
Hopefully, change is in the air
Life can be scary, nauseating and pretty unfair
PROHIBITION! Such a joke
A law based on racism and money
It’s so sad… it is almost funny
Getting sicker, I begin to shake
Fear on your face
A mom ever so frighten
I have to smoke
I get mild relief with a single toke
How ironic… Now I’m not ever so “pure”
For tonight I am just another PPO whore
Sill saying no
You tell me we need to go
You tell me screw the bill
I shouldn’t be thinking about my will
Bags, jewelry, shoes...
Mentally dividing my possessions
You hold my hand
Carried to the car
It is now time to go to that E.R.
I lay in the hospital bed
No longer in misery, no longer feeling like the living dead
Test run
Necessary, but oh so not fun
Medicine injected, I begin to feel clear headed
You hold my hand and tell me to fight
My inspiration
My best friend
Reminding me who I am
I want to thank you mom
Everything you have done and reminding me I have a voice
You tell me I am anything but weak
You give me endless encouragement to stand up and SPEAK
No one deserves to live in pain
What is wrong with the world today?
Who gets treatment?
First open the wallet!
Now see if you can pay...
I can live a normal comfy life in the ‘burbs
Yet I need relief from medical herbs
Something so minuscule
Keeps me mislabeled as a medicinal criminal...
