Premium Member Cabernet Purple Sweet

How luscious the ripened grapes, purple sweet
Enthralling us in their leafy bower
Where a lush orchard coddles yield every hour—
Moonlight and dawn gloss velvet skins replete
With bathed nectarine turning into wine…
An elixir when our affection glows :
Cabernet , more precious than scented rose
As lovers’ mouths sip of romance divine!

Mocking Bird

The greatest pretender in the sky
is a thief in wings
and sings and sings in purloined folly.

A burlesque bird first loots a throat
then coddles every stolen note
and assembles every syllable

Then one by one in choral mime
as though true specie in the air
acts with incipit pompous dare.

And what honest notes could sound
that author care the see
that invention were an honest gift
achieved with authenticity.

It Could Be Would

she was a salamander of the sun
an enraptured reptile of the stars
dancing with the other campfire lizards
in the asphalt murrain
in the technomarshes
in the hookah parking lots
and mildewed shopping malls
on the internet
amongst the programmer punks
and hacker geeks
the tweeting tools
the facebook fools
sashaying through cyberspace

and in all the common places
where human hearts are liquid nitrogen
her belly is sparidged and maplemarvelous
the taut black knit tubetop
stretched acrylic over tantalum breasts
the cerise cutoffs born
broadbelted and blithely
clenching her pomegranate cheeks
piebald with sweet sweat
appaloosan with her own sweet waters
because a culture summer is coming
in
in Coddles Harbour and Port Hilford
in Manchester and Fox Island
a magnetic renaissance
coming in ike a lion
like a lizard loaded indigo
and heat desperate
and as he stood
and watched
"all states, all princes I."
and as she moved and sang he spoke
"Love.
There is no 'love'."
"It is true. It is true."

I cannot clutch the tongue
of bones commonwealth any more
nor catch any human kingdom here
any tenderness no longer
moats between us
it is occupied
shocked
by the ordinary
the commonplace
by the electrical
but
still
I am mad ensieged
with her

Morgan Le Fay To Morgan Le Biatch

On unbearably pleasant days
she beckons the ferryman
to taxi her to the
dark places of her past
to stock up on bitterness,
envy, rancor
a delusional cocktail for the
attention-starved addict
with the trademark, fatalistic,
false sense of power.
Self-respect makes a break for it
while she coddles demons in her sleep.

Weebles Wobble

Weebles wobble
   but they do fall down.

Once without windup whimsy weebles wobble writhing in wistful wiggly wattles,
they bubble, bobble, boggle, bottle and boondoggle coddles and dawdles;
a colossal ensemble debacle joggles and toggles the toddler's throttle
waiting on wafting waffles the twaddle and goggling the toppled pottles.

Just google that old fossil's nozzle schnozzled squabble.

I See You In the Darkness

When I close my eyes and look into the darkness
I see the reverse image of swirling time
Glimpses of you, but you are not there
Like Schrödinger's cat, you are alive and dead
But all it takes is a potion
And my eyes will remain closed for eternity
The ease of which, has its own damnation
For this life still coddles and excites
And allows me to weep and moan
When I close my eyes and see you in the darkness

Love's All-Encompassing Embrace

My heart is racing.
Faster and faster it beats,
And with every beat, I feel the heat
of your love surrounding me.
Surrounding me,
engulfing me,
grabbing me,
hugging me,
encompassing me…
Til I’m free—
free of the burdens,
the heartaches,
the pain,
the guilt,
the loneliness.
Free of myself,
 the insecurities and the doubt
Wrapped in his love
‘til all the hurt comes out
His love—his pure, amazing love
that releases the cares.
His sweet, unassuming love
That is an answer to prayers.
It covers my heart
          With a coat of joy
Its thick shield of protection
          Blocks the noise.
Completely comfortable
          And saturated in your love.
It coddles and holds me like a glove.
The thought of your love causes my heart to race.
I’m fully entwined in love’s embrace.

Simple Pleasures

Water coddles my numbing fingers
warmth floats upon stubborn clouds of mist
impacts unenthusiastic cheeks and lingers
morning’s winter heated by a whetted kiss.

Hands clasp as a lover to a lover
skin sliding smoothly through soothing soap
fogged mirror a glassed and cozy cover
warms my hands, my face, my hope.

Simple pleasures, unnoticed sunrise -
not epic love, nor joyous dream,
only eyelids lacquered over sleepless eyes
and chilled hands warmed in a faucet stream.

Ten Minute Wait

Strolled in
to my barbers Friday evening
Typical wait
(10 minutes)
                   No problem,
except two people
bothering me.
 A mother
while she coddles her son
with one wavy arm
                    In tight clothes
A ring bigger than Texas...
not a word spoken between them

both on their fancy I phones
Son,
strolling through Facebook
                     Mother staying busy with games,
starring into it as if it were a big mac

I watched
                     cursing in my head

Other waiting people
stuck on their cool new entertainment

Nobody talks
Nobody thinks
10 spare minutes
scares the *****out of people

Time to get her son’s haircut
He, atleast 10

She walks over and
instructs the barber
what her son needs
probably never making
a decision for himself
                     He'll grow as she

becoming a winner

Do Not Curse This Nurse

WHATEVER YOU WANT THIS TO BE ENTITLED

Golden curls are found where diamonds sleep
Glittering golden curls be the lady’s crown
She knows the seraphim and the secrets they keep
And now she can create a smile from a frown

A twinkle follows wherever she may tread
And yes, her hair will forever glow
Because of her everything in the world should be painted red
And she requires no rainbow ribbons nor bow

She should have been born of royalty or a queen
I cannot find the loom on which her locks were spun
Helping humanity is her baby she coddles with care
Protecting all from rain, heat and a blazing sun

This is a princess with flesh so fair
And as to competitors the lady has none
No god could replicate the exact color of her hair
And she’s lucky to have it, but her husband is the truly lucky one!

      Afternoon ember flare coddles forest
Nodule noses, from dark bark eyes sap drips
      Naked soldiers, Summer’s subside promised
Farewell foliage, spun fairy floss gossip

News spew swept red runaway train carriage
      Ridiculed witches watch fireworks astral
      Rudimentary broom aircrafts encourage
Twilight wake creatures creep from log capsules

      Twitching whiskers, dusk susurrate translate
Trampled damp mushrooms mulch to mildew fleece
Orange fungi full moon balloon inflate
Hot flight flame exhales exhausting release

Grey limb wind tortured troops groan, familiar
Guards gravely wait for Winter’s insignia

CONTRAST OF BLACK AND WHITE

Faith coddles the fetus in his cimmerian cradle,
his freshly formed ears set on the steadfast heartbeat.
~
Eyes blink, outside the cramped passageway,
glowing bright like a newborn star.
~
The thumb sucking infant sifts out the gray pixels,
shape sorting images, building blocks in the mind.
~
Blindness binds a child devoid of light.
Contrast of black and white supplies sight.
~
When does this child become afraid of the dark?
Once exposed, eyes crave a steady diet of light.

The Transparency of Selves

The Transparency of Selves.

Transparently unseen,
lonely souls walking on,
slipping between raindrops,
curling between folds of reality,
twisting in dreary, worn-out skins.

Moulting, peeling off, discarding,
worn-down corpses edging towards,
whistling crowds of leering stares,
wasted on insipid momentary sighs,
where collective consciences lay mute.

Opaque words flounder, seeking, begging,
wooden excuses swept up in dusty screams,
bellowing unspoken profanities in solitude,
sweltering amongst boneless patriarchs,
where impotence teeters on the brink of reason.

Rivers of unreason roll on, ceaselessly,
watering the sordid thoughts and empty voices,
filtering out warmth and empathy, drilling,
deeper into a callousness that embraces,
coddles, nourishing nothing but putrid decay.

Creature

“That’s a bad mistake,” She tells me. But I don’t care, and I crawl inside anyways.
She glowers at my fortitude, for she has never had such will power.
As I hid away; inside my little home, I take out my best kept secret; Rallyn.
His little beady eyes look up at me with confusion, and he sniffs the air as if to test it.
I smile and nod at his gesture, and he crawls off my palm and into our new home.
He soon discovers every nook and cranny, trying it all out at once.
I hold my fist out, which contains a small treasure, and his eye fill with excitement.
Jumping up and down, making an IRP!-ing sound, he coddles my hand.
I laugh, opening it up to show a fruit of Gallia, and he licks it with much satisfaction.
Giggling, he says”Where are we?” I tell him that we are under the great oak tree, safe.
He snuggles, thanking me for a new home, and asking if I have any news.
“Yes,” I say after a moment of silence. “It’s gone.” The tears came, and I held him tight.
I tell him that, although his planet gone, he still has a home. Here with me.
He looks up with red rimmed eyes, “I can’t.” And out the exit he went.
I never saw little Rallyn ever again

Choices form towards our preordained trajectory
Decision built bricks stack factors progressively
Circumstancial pegs compile in accord to faculty
Dogmas of downtrodden clogged with profanity

Circles run rings around predictions, an equator
Divides same from same in symmetrical centre
Cogs who push their neighbours never blame us
Duration in environ expidited by wheel's impetus

Certainty occurs, journey obscured from turning
Decorum's shield prohibits peripheral discerning
Contingent coddles confederates, cave sedation
Dictated picture is droll pattern of premeditation

Character patter converses with class conducive
Dialogue delays, latitudinal liberal splay spruking
Concious diverges in a dual carriageway purview
Deliberation channels hairpin 's curve impromptu
