How luscious the ripened grapes, purple sweet Enthralling us in their leafy bower Where a lush orchard coddles yield every hour— Moonlight and dawn gloss velvet skins replete With bathed nectarine turning into wine… An elixir when our affection glows : Cabernet , more precious than scented rose As lovers’ mouths sip of romance divine! made me think of Neil Diamond's song of red, red, wine...moonlit cabernet and a kiss that stays...good luck nette

This is lovely, an exquisite pen of full body just as I understand wine should be. I am not a drinker and would rather have the grapes, so my appreciation may not be as significant as other readers, but I don't need to taste a poem to feel its wonder. I pray your days have been emotionally easier as you continue to grow and absorb from last year's 'altering' ride. I think of you. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Intoxicating! I'll have another taste of this succulent read so purple sweet. With grapes, wine, romance all wrapped in a package, who needs the rose?
