wave
after
wave
pounding
ruthlessly
against
Her
weary
jaded mind
defiantly
eroding
tattered
threads
of frail
sanity…
and yet...
She
clings to
hope

Clinging To Life

I look to the sky and ask,
Can he help find my way?
I've been wondering through this darkness
And still haven't found the light of day.
Struggle after struggle
I'm trying to find my way.
Time after time
I'm clinging to that little bit of faith.
Physically, spiritually, and emotionally drained
Venturing through this storm
But I can stand the rain.
No angels on my shoulders,
It's just demons now.
Fighting for first,
Never know which one is leaking out.
I try to stay positive,
Be optimistic about things.
Then turn to a pessimist,
That's a depressing change.
My mind goes insane,
I can't stay in one lane.
Veering off-road,
So my paths are never the same.
Many things I've seen,
Every memory is a movie scene.
Many are great, but has a fuzzy screen,
Bad shows up clear as day, it will make you scream.
Nightmares keep taking my breath away,
I can feel it in my chest.
Dying multiple times,
But wake up with cold sweats.
I lay here and look up,
I ask why me?
Why put me through the fire,
But have me cold as an ice rink?
Many things inside that I want to question,
Hard to pour out,
I have introverted aggression.
They say send your prayers to god,
Sometimes I feel like I have to leave him a message.
I ask again,
can he help find my way?
I'm fighting for my dreams,
I'm going through wars to be king some day.
Even though this road I'm taking,
May not get me there right away.
I still cling to that little of hope,
That I won't let my faith die away.

Premium Member My Ultimate Clinging -Psalm 63: 8

All mankind is weak at heart
we are helpless and hopeless to a tee
our sin wraps us around its finger
tripping us up always so very easily

But there is a way to escape
there's one who we can pursue
all power and grace belong to him
out of His perfect love all things He can do

Pursue this God who is eternal
be passionately pursuing His person
cling closely for He is able
to bless you indeed His will be done

Make your soul be close to God
for His right hand to you will uphold
what greater security can you have?
the Lord God more precious than gold

(Psalm 63:8 New International Version (NIV)
 I cling to you;
    your right hand upholds me.)

One DIRTY BIRD COP and (our) cities burn... again
now the far lefty loons are flapping about wanting to defund
and even ELIMINATE police forces all together,
while stripping 2nd amendment RIGHTS
of citizens to defend themselves-
So they want to disarm citizens
and leave them without a police force

You can bet your STAINED UNDIES
that the DIRTY BIRDS of our society are
buffing their Saturday night specials
and HIGH FIVING to their good fortune-

Who do you think these suicidal policies will hurt the most..
bingo..high crime neighborhoods(inner cities)
so once again hard working BLACK CITIZENS
are going to get SCREWED BY the knee-JERK reactions
of their LOCAL GOVERMENTS..
WHILE the WEALTHY-(all politicians and their donors) have state of the art
HIGH END security systems-and can hire a ZIMMERMANN
when the crap hits the fan(and it will). So they don't care
about the carnage that results from their P.C. pandering-

My guess is there'll be a humongous run on
big-headed dogs-BEAR SPRAY -Louisville sluggers and BIBLES
in the very near future..
Good luck to all the GOOD PEOPLE of our great nation..
SWING AWAY -spray away- read away...bite away!

this is a bit long winded so I've cliff noted(LARGE FONTED) the main points

Premium Member Clinging To Undulating Lines

I studied your vital signs
as time was in question,
clinging to undulating lines.
I studied your vital signs,
emotions mirroring their declines,
desperate for a receptive expression.
I studied your vital signs
as time was in question.

Premium Member A Warning To Clinging Vines

Move over and give me some space
Too tight is your strangling embrace
I am suffocating

I’d hate to have to buy some mace
Spray it in your possessive face
Loving turns to hating

Barely Clinging To Hope

Fantasy and dreams fade
As does the magic of ones youth
As we struggle the hardships of life
Hope seems to dangle over the edge of a bluff
We pray for the passing days to bring love, prosperity, and health into our lives
So few things bring joy as we see those we love ripped tragically from us
All that we have known crumbles
Like the foundation of the very house that shelters us
From the storms that we must endure in life
We reach out for something to hold only to find nothing within our grasp
Lonely for the touch of a lover lost
We search, never to find the answers we so desperately seek
Still we continue onward,
Clinging to hope,
Dreaming that one day we will be able to love
To believe in something or someone again

Clinging

By touching we feel, no real need to show
Let us sense our favourite thing
Dreaming sleeping a wish an awake so slow

Friends we keep close but why not a foe
God a pleasure, but still another king
Learn through life avoid trouble and woe

Shadows cast long and dark but avoid holy Joe
Be not like a worm the earth to cling
Love life, go overcome like a fresh wind to blow

There is a true life’s poetry as some do know
Lives turning around climbing an upswing
Grasping, releasing, knowing when to let go

All this thinking but what about the status quo
Going perhaps like an old wedding ring
Gentle a feeling a releasing a touch there a forego

Clinging Attraction

If i had but a fragment of time,to the top of your heart i would climb.
Resting my love on your every breath.
Ignited bond fires to keep a sublime soul warm,to save a trembling beauty from a snow storm.
coiled in my arms you would be.
A snake wrapped in a mink of my love, you'll see.
insurmountable attraction sets a fire adorn.
Beyond the golden gates of heaven, there you seemed to be born.
Before your presents i was forlorn, but with your presents a new hope was born.
A hope girdled with wool and glittered gold.
If i had but a fragment of time,to the top of your heart i would climb.
Resting my love on your every breath.

Clinging To a Memory

A quiet stream in a secret place
I look in the water and see your face
Sitting here beside me
The way we were before you left me
You touched my hand so tenderly
And promised this was how we’d always be
And now I sit here all alone
With just a memory to cling on
Foolish one they would say
Did you really think he would stay
He was never yours one would say
And your foolish heart drove him away
Now I sit in a world of my own
Sitting here all alone
Maybe they were right but look there in the water I see
His face smiling up at me
He has come back to me
But alas t is the last thing I see
