A Kind Hello

Proverb 12:25  "Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up."


a stray lost
in her thoughts

i saw her
sitting there
nursing a frown

so i
reached out 
compelled
to offer 
a warm hello

no reason
no motive
simple
unadorned
unpretentious

the smile
on her face~

it startled me

made me forget 
my troubles

suddenly
all seemed
so insignificant

it was a smile~

that changed
in one instant
the color
of my sky
