Premium Member A Cathedral Lit By Sunset

O,
how I swoon
in the ruby bliss of your sunset kiss -
your vibrant rays of maturity arouses my fire;
touching me with urgent rapture,
saturating me
in sparkles of champagne light - then,
streaming through me in bold shafts of gold.

We embrace
in the broadening bloom of lantana skies -
our burning blend;
your western blaze
my prismatic panes
telling stories of love and pain,
bestowing rainbow-shadows
into depths of dark serenity -
our fervor cast like water-colored sprites
in far-flung illuminations
across dusky medieval arches
enlightening dim granite walls
gracing graceful curves and conscientious columns
in jewel-shades
waltzing with your solar pulse.

Our vivacious union
reflects our Renaissance romance
in mirrored mirages
dyeing the staid floor in painted riches
- that richly rejoice -
in plashes of splashy orgies
of light and silhouette -
the appetite of holy ambiance whet
by warm and cool tones
pregnant with passions of the heart
and imbued with torments and ecstasies
of the soul -
cleaving humanity and divinity
in flaring flair; emerald, sapphire, citrine and garnet,
amid our spellbinding moments
of tantric twilight magic.

Our synergy electrifies
the night-falling quietude of this sacred space
before our enchanted euphoria
begins to wane..
and as your dying flame
gives way to the rise of the shy crescent moon
I lose my orgasmic zest
to the evening’s ebony hue.

Premium Member Cathedral Spiritual

Pink and grey walls rise like castle parapets
Reflecting the sunrise in golden hues
I ride along the canyon to the sound of leather
Creaking softly in the tranquil mountain air

Sweat and horse, with layers of dust
Well worn jeans against a speckled hide
Gently swaying in a unified rhythm
Languidly haze swirling about our feet

Around the bend we startle snow geese
Flocks floating, rising, settling serenely
Angling, landings against the lapping waters
Black tipped wings against wintry white

Sandhill cranes foraging for cutthroat trout
Reflecting blue beside the meandering creek
Majestically standing, patiently waiting
Blue dragon flies dancing within their reach

Off the beaten path we wander
Past yucca swaying in the breeze
O’er grama blue as sky beneath us
Cushioned carpet of pine and peat

Rock squirrels scurry across a Douglas fir
Scolding woodpeckers on a burnt oak tree
The chorus is merged by the hoot of an owl
And the clip clop against rocks as we proceed

Canopies of piñon line the trail
Mixtures of conifer shade the landscape
Grey blue greens with clusters of sienna
Cathedral spiritual within an ageless solitude

She knelt upon a plank, plain oaken
(sable cloak, her mourning guise),
and sensed the breath of distant sighs,
pale shades of pain behind blue eyes…

While clasping close a cross-like token
(holding hope for those in need)
she prayed her Lord "please intercede,
my woes be washed, my soul be freed"…

Archangels, in the skies evoken
(candles flickered, shadows shivered),
through the panes, the moonlight quivered,
summoned forth, the wish delivered…

Forgotten words he once had spoken
(dimly echoed ’neath the dome)
swept sweetness of the honeycomb
o'er distant realms they used to roam…

At midnight's knell, in dreams awoken,
memories of love unfeigned…
Though loneliness of grief remained,
she still held hope… hope hadn't waned…

And when the dawn had early broken,
by the font, in peace, she lay…
As sudden as a sunset ray,
the light of life had slipped away…

A tomb
So chill so deathly still
Where algaed bells hang dumb

Diffus'd
Her warted weaving spire
In eerie midnight sun

A womb
Come bubble bubble down
In gloom the vaulted way

To see
Through brackish ripple glass
By jaded light of day

Profound
Black iron gargoyle's heads
Resounding deathless ringing

To hear
The swaying sunken choir
Of chancel ghosts go singing

"TE DEUM

TE DEUM (eumm - eumm)

THE HUMBLE CATHEDRAL

In the glaring eyes of the sun
dressed thin in lush green moss,
my shady sky-high trunk compeer
dark brown wrinkled arms spreading free
my slender fingers of verdant hue.

They swing, swing in quiet seesaws
attune to the cradling light of July breeze.
Pleased and appeased, I puff and puff:
oxygen dancing slow with other gas.
The blowing winds from the east,

The heaven tears cascading down,
they bathe and cleansed me but!
They too disturb causing murmurs
and rustles during my deep sleep...
Fall approaches, smell of despair hangs,

it pose danger making my leaves sad.
I began to weep as they slowly tumble,
tumbling below, leaving me naked.
Facing later the harsh bites of cold,
my arms turned brittle from right to left,

hearing them creak and break. Thankfully,
my feet safe beneath the ground.
I stood firm together with my friends,
unafraid of the ice but so scared
of humans carrying a sharp ax.

Premium Member Cathedral Prayers

Echoes of prayers past resound,
Resound within these hallowed walls.
Walls that welcomed all those who came,
Came to join prayer's ancient song.

Submerged Cathedral

Sickle moon gray above the waves
The quiet directionless wind
On the earth, and in the sky above
A veil is drawn, cutting into dark spots
Slowly round and round,
Murals are etched into the sand
The statue waits with eyes unblinking
Silent wonder, solitary armless stone
Twisted, counter-pose, forever fixed,
Wonder, what does she see under water?
Rusty bows and sterns, shipwrecks,
Silvery fish fluttering in and out of hulls, a
graveyard outside hallowed ground

Archway, the great doors dark and closed
Murky, wet light pours in vaulted windows
Through water-worn edges of stained glass
Seaweed tendrils curl around an altar
Once, quiet processions marched up the aisle
They are now only filtered ghosts,
Murmuring, wavy impressions of what was
Forever, the tide calls upon the great steeple
And the lonely under-toe,
Pulls a mote in the sand around her,
To protect the bastion in the sea,
Dark, lovely, lost forever to those above

Now watch as I push the envelope,
give you a taste of what's possible;
The meek cannot inherit the stars,
space will lose every ounce of luster;

You will not see with a microscope,
the Universal Truth that’s plausible;
Lost within dive bars and basic cars,
no way you could go any faster;

Painted like a cathedral with scars,
your aesthetic makes you the master.

Cathedral Windows Stained Glass Sunlight Favorite Gratitude

This is not as such a written poem
This is more a heartfelt dedication

To those kind few who have taken time to place
Certain of my written poem's
Amongst there chosen favorite's

To those to whom I owe this debt of thanks
I do not have the breadth of knowledge
Opon which to express my untold gratitude

For if all I had merely just had to say
Was
Thank you,
Thanks

I beg your pardon if you do not bother
Another word of mine you read
If nothing more i have to offer

Rises above such praise and comment
As favorite placed

Because thank you and thanks
Doth not sum up nor convey

Your grace

You words illuminate like sunlight
Shining through Stain Glass Cathedral Windows
When all hope and faith is lost
And shadows cast

The final word is yours
That lauds me up
When life is pressing
The cavity abound my chest
And breath can not be bought

Your words propel
The gospel , according to
What you meant and did for me

So yours sincerely
Kind regards
You are also my Favorite 2

And probably countless others 2
Whom fate has placed in the path of you

Premium Member Cathedral Essence

Before the promised coming of the Messiah,
Men sought shelter in caves near the sacred sea.
Rites of purification they practiced there,
Seeking for a new light to set them free.

We prepare a shrine worthy of Him,
For He is the communion of our dreams.
His are the Holy Elements we seek,
About which all earthly loveliness streams.

Every daybreak, the sun holds his devotions.
The horizon his altar for God's praise.
And for its blessed holy sacrament,
It distributes its brilliant erubescent rays.

Robins and buntings in feathery robes
With rapture ring their silver bells
To let every worthy believer know
That God upon His throne now dwells.

The mighty limbs of towering trees
Reach to embrace like the outstretched arm.
The divine cathedral brightly waits
Extending perfect greetings, so warm.

Premium Member God's Cathedral

Here
in this
quiet place
of tranquil peace,
my soul is restored.
My broken spirit healed.
Amid the leafy woodlands
reflected in every green tree,
in this, God’s natural cathedral,
is manifest the glory of the Lord.

Natures Cathedral

I was alone with my thoughts as I tread
deep in the heart of a forest bed
of green grass and flowers with fragrance divine
where I found a Heavenly sign...

I saw Natures Cathedral today
A beautiful tree deep in the green
with the sun as it's crown like I've never seen
Nature beamed on this vision of Joy...

I knelt at this alter of peace
my prayers flowed like the waters that HE
once tread upon in welcoming home
Other lost souls just like me......

I found Natures Cathedral today
A beautiful Cross truly sublime
like a new start in life the beginning of time
I knew that HE stood there close to me..

In Nature's Cathedral today.....
