Premium Member Divine Life Journey

“Life --- commenced by God’s love, with soul quickened through His grace, spirit revived in His strength, faith buttressed upon His truth --- abides forever worshipful.” Poet (Beata B. Agustin)

Guilty, devoid of own righteousness in God’s sight
Condemned to hell’s wrath, my soul was transgression-slain
Yet, the Lord reached out to me from His lofty height
Offering compassion of eternal life gain.

Hopelessly perishing, but now redeemed by grace
My spirit praises the Saviour with grateful glow
Exalting His holy name upon Scriptures' brace
While serving in His ministry of blessings’ flow.

Receiver of love’s opulence midst pardon seal
My heart rejoiced for gift that was sacrifice-priced
Such did ransom me from sin torturous ordeal
paid sufficiently by the blood of Jesus Christ.

I cleave* to the Almighty, upheld by His hand
Triumphantly worshipping as His called servant
Sharing the Gospel all the way to promised land
Awaiting His coming; with prayer, observant.

Guilty, devoid of own righteousness in God’s sight
Hopelessly perishing, but now redeemed by grace
Receiver of love’s opulence midst pardon seal
I cleave to the Almighty, upheld by His hand.

*Deuteronomy 30:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Premium Member Servant-Leaders Midst Divine Order

Aware of the New World Order
and its philosophy, principle, predicament
vis-à-vis Bible prophecy
my spirit trusts God
Who is the Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent
to put things in His order in His perfect time.

Meanwhile, let me picture how servant leaders
govern midst God's Divine Order according to Scriptures...

There they are with freedom bliss~~~
diligently pursuing the works of anointed stewards
fulfilling their days, commenced with prayer
earnestly seeking the Sovereign’s presence
while endeavouring with faith priority acts:

family nurture, nourished with loving responsibility
strengthening home brace along virtue values’ pillars
promoting accountable parenthood
along children holistic development program
simultaneous with pedagogical endowments~~~

pushing for functional geriatric welfare
midst wholesome andragogy advancements
upon physical, mental, psycho-social health accessibility
buttressed by hygiene and sanitation exercise
in consideration to ecological and environmental care
reaching-out to the less fortunate toward lifestyle betterment~~~

imposing lawful justice system, balancing truth with mercy
enjoining each one to practice daily thanksgiving gesture
applying principle of “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”

Yielding as good examples*… they beseech the Holy Spirit
for guidance in their commitment
to bring people near the LORD.

*1Timothy … Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

Premium Member Poverty Ails

Clamor for food security prevails
midst scarcity of basic necessity
such confronts the world; oh, poverty ails.

Though there’s great Source, supplies demand high sales
inequality reigns, buttressed by greed’s certainty
clamor for food security prevails.

Hear the sick in their bad health pity wails
afflicted with insufficiency’s futility
such confronts the world; oh, poverty ails.

While technology upgrades production scales
rice shortage remains a global verity
clamor for food security prevails.

Then population-explosion issue hails
malnutrition problem along infant mortality
such confronts the world; oh, poverty ails.

Let’s reach-out with care, since charity* never fails
trusting God to end this sad reality:
clamor for food security prevails
such confronts the world; oh, poverty ails.

Premium Member Anniversary Tribute to My Pastor and His Wife

Anchored upon great genuine godly love’s magnificence
My Pastor toward his wife exemplified genuine care’s iridescence
Beyond romantic zeal around marriage vow’s faith-seal, truly wondrous
Proven by their triumphant wedding anniversary, indeed glorious!

Buttressed by the Saviour’s compassion of virtuous charity
My Pastor’s first and only lady sweetly epitomized fervent selflessness-serenity
Living well with her “I do” to husband-leader and ultimate sweetheart forever
Midst blissful one flesh* warmth of being in-love ever!

*Matthew 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Dedicated to my Pastor, Rev. Ed Laurena and his wife, Ma’am Dhel Laurena
who are celebrating their wedding anniversary on January 16.

Premium Member Wake Asia Wake - Part Two - 2

(Continued from Part Two - 1)

Nothing of the foisoning ageold homegrownwine
strained through Ol’ Kayyam’s ever draining ruba’iyat bowl
keeps vigil in their scelerosed veins

I will slap this officious reason
In the face with wine in hand

Who so bold to slap sense into the buttressed elus
But those drunk with common insolence sense

Darius the First built a confining wall
around the Greco-Roman Empire’s eastern front
                              a first wall of self-will
Gengiz Khan tore it down with his sabersharp teeth
after climbing deftly through the David Copperfield hole
   in the Great Wall

See how Mao stemmed the tide with his Long March
Only to wall in his Zhong Guo
                                                      An Asia within an Asia
      The Central Asian Crown
to be propped up again either by vassal states
or by tribute offering nations in return for health-giving largesse

while tough little Viets struggled without wailing on bare feet
to sling the Twentieth Century’s Goldorak down to an ignominious fall

while those that weep after twenty lost centuries at their Wailing Wall
wall their brethren in a closely policed jail
wailing at every television reprisal performance
their insecure un-Godly fate in the dead sea of faiths
at the bare hands of suicidal wall breakers
      hemmed in around their waists

            like those fencesitters
  the Greater East Asia
                                       Prosperity builders who
let MacArthur gird them behind an Ocean Wall
silent superior-thinking men and women
unable to wish their neighbours bonjour
even after the unhealed unhealing wounds inflicted
                                                  by kamikaze samurais
walled in behind obsequious bending backs
          and mechanical smiling faces

What brews in quiet what festers in stealth
                                                                Asia’s white master race
                           a Botha-deemed non-apartheid equal

ONE of the seven rulers of this world

Premium Member Poetry's Role

Poetry’s duty can’t be detached from poet’s heart*
who governs direction of muse at the very start.

Thus, a poet is challenged to be responsible
cognizant of task as influentially noble.

Since writing endeavours do create varied impact
poets are called to blend well with prudence --- tact and fact.

Having communication as foremost role
poetry seeks to engage with every reader’s soul.

As to subjects’ choice, whether in verse or rhyming voice
what matters most is truth’s sincere poise midst protest’s noise.

Buttressed upon such perspective, I present my view
governed by freedom of authors on what’s to construe.

To write about beauty, inspired by nature’s bounty
yields poetry that magnifies artistry of sovereignty.

Meanwhile, advocacy on justice and peace concerns
are declared by poets, along what Mother Earth yearns.

For all grim realities never to be denied
their poetical exposure is not set aside.

Hence, human nature --- featuring flaws, sins, selfishness
pervades in literature pages affirming our weakness.

With love prevailing, and care’s endearment reigning
poetry offers hope upon fervent faith shining.

Concluding my poet’s assignment for this moment
I’m grateful to God for His enabling bestowment.

*Psalm 45:1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

A one pub village-the Cotswolds
The Totternhoe Chalk Stone
weathered, firm grey and brown co-mingled.
Corner edging buttressed.

The outskirts of hedgerows lined roads
Lawrence and the motor bike
in the sunlight until there was silence.

Set in the green grass
under the blue sky shadowed by clouds,
intermittent rain now cleared,
the Chalk Stone waits.

Grass plot surrounded by close in
green foliage, trees nurtured by the rain
next to the resting place where they have come.

Stones made of the same Totternhoe Chalk
once labelled, now weathered, indistinct names, dates
decipherable only in parish records.

Today the family gathers
to bring home to family
dust to dust and ashes to ashes.

Premium Member Too Far Gone

It hangs upon the precipice:
once lethal, looming by design.
A stalwart, buttressed edifice,
the press of time has not been kind.

The howling seas, like dogs of war,
have savaged once proud prominence.
The cliffs that thwarted all before,
succumbed to tidal dominance.

With shoulders squared, and jaw tight clenched:
no further; here, the line was drawn.
The hounds at bay, thus firm entrenched,
a costly, lasting truce was spawned.

By blood, by sweat, a people saved
to live out days beyond these walls.
There on the battlements engraved,
vita pro omni, life for all.

Ironic, then; ‘twas built to last.
Uncaring, time just marches on.
A crumbled vestige of the past,
no rescue now; it’s too far gone.

The Sound Waves

The waves sounded so strong to me,
Stronger, heavier, thicker, tickly tilted.
I looked at it tail and head, picking the
Grains of its eyebrows dashing away;
It made my hair stood still on my neck.
When I looked, it was poetry; a poetic words
Sounding, gliding in gayish embryo like a foetus.
The zygote of its waves drummed heavily on
The mouth of my scribbing pen.
I heard the sound over and over...
Sounding, recording, beating, appealing
To my soul as I moved to touch a head;
A head of poetry and caress a tail I saw;
A buttressed beautiful tail of poetry.
The elephantry of my eardrum stood,
A word I never knew came tempting,
A song I never sang rose in my throat.
I wish I could write a poem I can't read,
I wish I could read a poem I can't write;
The sound waves I can't listen to here,
A word that can't be combined to form a sentence.
In the physics of my heart I knew I have fallen
In love with a sound waves so pure like the
Rhythm of Enya.
