I turn thirty-two years old today
and I have a wish to silently say
for a future that I hope to make
as I blow out the candles on the cake.
Some may want cars or diamond rings
but I don't need material things.
So, what exactly does this girl want?
How about something she can't flaunt
like true friends that will be there
and who can openly show they care,
friends with a common passion to write
is what I am wishing for tonight.
There must have been a falling star
because, just like magic, here you are!

A birthday wish I wish to you.
To have God's Love your whole life through.

He doesn’t like to socialize, nor does
he laugh at funny shows the way I do.
He suffers chronic pain and frets because
he’s worked so long and hard his whole life through.

We’ve had our ups and downs, and that’s for sure,
but I can overlook the bad. Our love
has grown through many years and will endure
because there’s one thing I am certain of.
My husband’s there for me! Though he may lack
a way with words, much tact or great finesse,
I know deep down – he’ll always have my back.
Each year as we grow greyer, he feels stress.
My birthday wish for him is that he’ll find
contentment and – at last – some peace of mind.

I made a birthday wish one night
while blowing out my candles' light.
I wished my dad would let me get
a dog to keep as my own pet.

I looked for four-leaf clovers too
in hopes my wish would then come true.
On first stars of each night I made
the same wish, and of course I prayed!

The Christmas after I turned eight,
no longer did I have to wait,
for not just one or two, but THREE
cute dogs I saw beneath the tree.

it was a very big surprise.
I hardly could believe my eyes.
All of my wishing brought to me
three dogs named Billy, Jax, and Lee.

As I observe another birth
I wonder why the nations rage
alas, I've reached that seasoned age
when all I want is peace on earth

Birthday Wish

Twenty six today, I saw
the luminous silver moon
make it's way through
the familiar sky that
bends above my head.

Each day I grew enthusiastic
and more credulous about
what lies ahead;
Waiting and hoping to remain
content with the one wish
granted.

And thereupon, a shooting star
In it's enthralling spectacle
A fallen seraphim with
broken wings crowding
my innocence upon
that fading star

Making a wish
To blow it away
into smouldering incense
of a new age.

There is nothing sweeter than the smell of a red, red, red rose
Or someone having a dear to compose
life spent wondering and gathering
thoughts of precious moments
that will last forever in the mind
A birthday is a special time
that we remember, and is sweet
as the red, red, red rose.

My Birthday Wish

I sit on the floor and wait from dusk to dawn, for a new day will soon be reborn. I count all
the blooming flowers, and count down the long hours, while mum takes her shower.
Today's the day, for it's my birthday. I hope I get A car, or A guitar or maybe even become
A movie star, but that's asking A bit too much of me. I walk around singing out A loud,
acting proud feeling as if my heads in A cloud. To my surprise I start stumbling over my
words and begin mumbling. Maybe mum just forgot about me, or are they just hiding the
presents from me? I walk through the hall, with my head dragging looking at the floor,
and go to bed with my heart feeling torn. It's getting late and I can no longer wait. I turn
off my light, and close my eyes and cry having so much things go through my mind. I
drift to sleep but then I see, mum walking in my room in the middle of the night with A
light. It's so bright. She raises my heart like A kite, taking of it flight and she says, good
night, and turns of the lights. She raised my hopes high and then shot them out of the
sky. I break down and cry, it feels as if I've just died. No one remembered why today was
A special day for it was my birthday. I look at the sky and wonder why? I light my candle
and close my eyes, tears dripping down onto my thighs, and I start to whisper in my
mind. "I don't want A car, or even A guitar. I don't even want to become A movie star. I
just want to be free of this disease called poverty, I just want people to stop running away
from me. Free me of aids so I can stop feeling afraid. Stop me from being poor, so I can
afford to stop sleeping on the floor. Make me smile for there is no reason to smile, but
please make my life worth while. Take me away from Africa, for all I see is people being
raped and all the kids hearts filled with hate, I'm loosing my faith for I am living each day
even though there is nothing to live for". A Tear drops on my candle, And puts out the
flame I whisper in pain,This is "My Birthday Wish"

We wish for luxuries that only money can afford. They wish for water for they are poor.
People need to learn to smile, for kids living in poverty have A legitimate reason not too.
Be happy for what we have, and never complain for what we don't have.

I have a birthday wish for you today,
Although words are not always easy to say.

In some ways, it does not seem right,
That you are not here and have taken flight.

My heart aches, but I really do understand,
After all my love, I still have your hand.

You have dreams you wish to come true.
This is my wish, my dream for you.

May your happiness be complete,
So in this life, you will not feel defeat.

From my heart with this poem,
I cannot wait until you come home.

The Journey a Birthday Wish

Diamonds don’t glisten until they are put through the fire,
Making them precious commodities for the buyer
Butterflies don’t flutter through the air,
Until they breakthrough their fibrous tares
Life is a process just like the rest,
But after the trials we get Gods intended best.
Dreams seem to vanish into a summer breeze
But all dreams are born when we bow to our knees.
Surrender is simple when you have tried it all
I know of one who hears your every call.
There is nothing that he doesn’t already know
And he is not amused by our humanistic shows.
He simply accepts us for where ever we have been
And he is not sitting there counting our every sin
His love melts away the frozen rivers and valleys
He overrides are initial internal tallies
Waves of refreshing wash over our souls
Your best interest is his eternal goal
There is no place to run from his infinite eyes
And he is one being that will never tell us lies
The deepest of wounds fade away
When we allow Jesus to come into your day
So, whatever the hang-ups
Whatever the fears
Just know that there is one who sees your every tear
This birthday year
My hope for you my dear
Is to know eternal love
That is given from up above
I pray you lay it all down
And in return receive your glorious crown
For you are daughter of the creator
Despite all those cuts from those past traitors.
You were made for greatness, that’s why you are still here
I declare this is a turn around season, a brand new year
I pray Healing rains fall on your sweet face
And replace all the fears with his awesome Grace
I pray that peace will flood your soul
And that you will allow God to make you whole!
You’re a treasure that awaits a grand discovery
At the bottom of an ocean or even a sea
And once it comes to the surface you will drip with delight
Because joy comes in the morning after a long, daunting night!

Written for someone special...

Birthday Wish

Spring comes,
Bringing novel flowers
To this multicolored Earth,
A really wretched place actually,
If you know the awful truth about it

Spring leaves,
Taking some flowers with it,
Bestowing freedom
Upon these fortunate plants

Seventeen springs ago,
An ordinary flower blossomed
On this cursed land.
The worst of all curses,
Life,
Placed on this pitiful plant
And a fate worse than death

Seasons flew by
And the flower withstood
The immense force of the elements,
Debilitated by great adversity
Brought by the years

Now with spring close by,
If fate shall allow,
Hopefully this spring,
This dying flower will perish.
Its roots turned to ashes
And carried by the winds of freedom
To the promised eternal paradise

Rebirth
A garden greets my eyes
With its breath-taking beauty
And my suffering dies

Birthday Wish

Today's the day of your birth
The day your presence graced the earth
The day your smile blessed the world
But don't you ever let that light go out.

I wish you to blossom day by day
And not a thing to block your way
I hope your every dream comes true
Eighteen is such a tender age

A Birthday Wish Straight From the Heart

A birthday wish straight from the heart,
This is what I want to say from the very start,
Wish you all the best in your life my dear,
Continue to be a great poet, and a writer.

My only gift to you is my solemn prayer,
To have a good health, peace of mind and the answer,
To all your wish in the past and give you more blessings,
From God above who created all things.

May your special day be an unforgettable moments,
Because we are all here and give you an excellent comments,
To brighten not only on your birthday but everyday,
Cheers to you Debbie , woman of amazing Beauty.
