To Becky With Love

Blinky Bill, and the wonder of all fairy tales
Snuggle Pot and Cuddle Pie and Hump Back Whales
Vegemite, ice cream, and violent crumble bars
Waltzing Matilda and The Southern Cross stars
The outback, the cities and a Coolabah tree
Golden sand, Billabongs, Damper and Billy Tea
Meeting singer John Farnham and saying G’day
All very special in their unique Aussie way
The flowers of Australia just blooming for you
The funny centipede with all his little legs
Christmas trees, Santa, and lots of Easter Eggs
A Butterfly, a rainbow, your parents tender love
Kookaburras, and sunshine and heaven above
Twinkling stars, laughter, your favourite toy
No matter how fleeting they’re yours to enjoy
Funny clowns, Birthdays, and big aeroplanes
Taking you places with magical names
Your playmates, family and favourite teddy bear
Are there to love you and your world to share
So smile dear Becky we love you too
May you treasure every day that life smiles on you.

Be at peace dear Becky, we will always remember you
And how in a plane I once with you flew!
To all the little children with Progeria disease
Let us find cure, until then, a wondrous life please!

Premium Member Becky the Baker - Nursery Rhyme

Becky loved to bake, bake, bake,
One day she baked a cake, cake, cake.
The frosting was so sweet, sweet, sweet,
Made it a treat to eat, eat, eat.

Next Becky baked a pie, pie, pie,
With berries piled so high, high, high.
She set it out to cool, cool, cool,
Caused everyone to drool, drool, drool.

Where Will We Be? (One For Ms. Becky)

Where will I be?
When your plane bursts the clouds
On its way back home
To your boys’ embrace and Asia
Dissolves
Like a forgotten stopover
On another ticket to Destination
Life.

So where will I be?
When the softness of your hair
Cascades gently into your
Tall form to
Tilt its magic and I suddenly remember it’s
Just a memory in the
Faded album of my
Never taken
 Photographs.

Think too,
Where will I be?
When dearest Julie asks,
“Is Ms. Becky coming back?”
As the dots on her page
Won’t connect and I can’t find
You,
 Freud, or even
Carl Jung between
Them or
Me
For that matter.

Where also will I really be?
As Friday light fades to black
And thoughts of you,
Sabbath and all,
Pour across me like
Overflowing wine
Not to mention the
 Jewish motherhood article you
Lovingly slid in the
 Inbox of my soul
Only later to be taken out when
Fatherhood gives me the
Long awaited
Call.

Where too will I be?
When a simple moment on a
Simple day
Meeting you in the hallway
Turns
To a not so simple but hugely important
Discussion on writing and other tidbits like
“God”
That we somehow managed to sprinkle
 Surreptitiously on our path to
Everywhere.

Where oh where will I really be?
When I can’t find the words in
 Tattered poems that
Float
Flotsam and jetsam
In the notepad of my mind
When all I can think of is
You
Outside some brownstone in Brooklyn
Same lean, same smile
Arms probably crossed
Hail a taxi to
Another way station of
 Tomorrows.

Which leads me to what I really think which is,
Where will
We be?
Ms. Becky Ann Schecter
When
 Ten years on,
Another continent, another school,
Years
Oozing the truth, a Lakota elder,
Face
Grooved to perfection reminds us in
Sioux,
“There is no word for goodbye.”

In the Kingdom By the Sea, My Pretty Becky

Off to Starbucks for my spot of Teavana Earl Grey Tea
I am Blessed! Princess Rebecca this morning, I do see
A quick gaze at her, oh my she looks even more sexy
In The Kingdom By The Sea, My Pretty Becky

I dream of sailing with her off the Shore of Jersey
We cruising with no destination, maybe Guernsey
We live a life of no worries and all carefree
In The Kingdom By The Sea, My Pretty Becky

I sit inside and sip my spot of tea
Reading the Times, thinking of My Becky
She too busy this morning to even gaze back at me
In The Kingdom By The Sea, My Pretty Becky

I dream one day we meet, I do foresee
I hope all goes well, a heavenly wish for me
A six foot tall Slavic princess, oh so slender and pretty
In The Kingdom By The Sea, My Pretty Becky

I still too nervous to say hello, I am so nerdy
Should I stop dreaming of what may be too good for me
Almost done sipping my daily Teavana Tea
In The Kingdom By The Sea, My Pretty Becky

I go back to street to jog back home, so fit is me
I feel sad lacking My Destiny Girl; feel so empty
I dream New Year's Eve with her at NYC's Marriott Marquis
In The Kingdom By The Sea, My Pretty Becky

Becky

I took a long nap
Made me wake in November
 Starring for awhile
At us and little April

These seasons moves
From warm to extreme cold,
My wish is to see uganda
But these cold feet

Each of these words
Will travel to you becky
Upon the gray reindeer
To make your days perky.

Pete and Becky Sue

Pete was a hard worker and never asked anyone for any thing,
and lived in Harpers Meadow down near the spring.
Sundays you could always find Pete with a fishing pole in his hand,
stocking up on catfish from the banks near his land.

Pretty much a loner though he was a likable soul,
his little cabin was well built, mostly from large cedar poles.
Deer, turkey, and a few bear, kept him in meat when the nights were cold.
While the hides kept him warm and provided a few coins from those that he sold.

Just over the mountain lived lovely Becky Sue,
and every boy in the valley was chasing after you know who.
Becky had done set her eye on Pete although he did not know,
and she did her level best to try to be where Pete would go.

Then came the day Pete noticed this lovely lass,
and knew she was the one for this feeling would not pass.
And what then was the custom, Pete spoke to Becky's paw,
I'm seeking Becky Sue's hand according to our law.

Paw knew Pete's worth and said you are an honorable man,
Pete promised to always take care of her, said I'll promise to do the best I can.
They loaded up the wagon and headed in to town,
Becky sue looked so lovely in her flour sack wedding gown.

They found the old preacher and he pronounced them man and wife,
and blessed the two so they would have a happy life.
Pete was no longer a loner with Becky Sue now by his side,
and soon their little cabin would be a home as the family grew in stride.

Becky

Becky, the Queen
Of the Riding School,
You will be missed
But not forgotten.

Becky, the best horse
I’ve ever ridden,
Always doing what you
Were asked right away.

Becky, a beautiful mare,
Loved your treats and cuddles.
You were never afraid of anything,
And always took care of your riders.

Becky, you will live on
In our hearts.

Rest in peace, Becky

Becky and the Toad

Am dog watching at my sisters
When her pooch comes in from the grass
Dangling from her mouth is a leg of a toad
The rest is in her mouth

Geez I thought now its trouble
The blasted toad popped out
Just as Becky rolled on the floor
Eyes rolling and tongue hanging out

I washed out her mouth with fresh water
As I call the vet from my phone
Can u come immediately
Stupid dog has caught a toad

She is lying on the floor eyes rolling
Am worried that she will die
Vet said am on my way
I sat down and started to cry

My sister’s going to kill me
If Becky isn’t here when theyre home
I’m going kill Becky for getting me
Into this nightmare alone

Vet arrives as Becky
Starts snoring , dreaming of the next doors boy
Was after the vet handed me the large bill
I noticed the toad was a toy.

                                          Was there a time,
                                             I was looking,
                                            without seeing.

                                          So wrapped up in
                                           my small world.
                                          Passing by those
                                          who really cared.

                                          If only my eyes,
                                        had not been cloudy.
                                          That other road
                                      would never have been
                                                 taken.

Becky, I believe that I am dying.
I feel the icy angel hovering near.
Our time together swiftly now is flying
And I must leave you all alone my dear.
Becky dear, I ask you now to hold me.
Freely I admit that I was wrong.
I really should have heeded what you told me.
Temptation never did find me that strong.

Becky, please forgive me as I say this.
You know I never meant to do you harm.
I thought we’d go no further than that first kiss.
Always I’m a slave to gentle charms.
Becky dear, I ask you to remember.
I know that now it seems so damned unfair.
Burning love may fade to dying embers.
That doesn’t mean that love was never there.

I’m sorry I forgot the life that we had bought
Paid for with our blood and sweat and tears.
It’s easy now to say eventually I’d pay
For all those other women through the years…

Becky, I can see that you have killed me.
I understand the reasons, never fear.
Yet, I don’t regret the love that filled me
Each and every time that you stood near.
Becky dear, my sight is slowly fading.
Once more, please, let me see your smile.
I know that I won’t be long in waiting
For you’ll be joining me in just a while.

There’s many things I’ve done that I’m not proud of.
So many as I look back on my life.
Now there’s one thing I must say out loud, love.
I love you, and I’m glad you were my wife.

Becky Got It and So Should All of You

Becky got it straight away

And the only single thing she said

In regards to her reply was this

She took her time to thank me back

Nothing more nothing less

Pretty simple really isn't it

Both the question and reply

But tells you every and everything

About a certain individual you ever
need to know

Sincerely without an audience or gun
against their head

So thanking you twice over again Becky

As though I do and probably will never
in life ever get to meet or know you in
any other realm than this

That matters not to me as what else
do I need to know but something as
simple or as trivial

As thank you
